Last Gender volume 3 has been out since June 13th. It pretty much ended as strong as it started. Now some recommendations from my end: - I would recommend Our Dreams at Dusk. It is a 4 Volumes long overall queer manga and has a lot of heart. Really good at capturing the pressure and loss we have and still are experienceing as a community. It's probably on the same level as Boys Run The Riot. - Is Love the Answer? is a really good Aroace manga. It's just a single volume so also not a huge investment. - Love me for who I am! is a 7 volume manga about a non-binary student working at a crossdressing maid cafe. It has some pretty disturbing scenes (seriously the Adams apple scene is gut wrenching for anyone with even a shred of empathy). - How do we relationship? is a still ongoing GL manga about two college students who start dating because they figure they would not be able to find any other girls who are into girls. It has some drama but is overall relaxed. - And for the last recommendation: Restart after coming back home is a really cute single volume BL about a young man moving back in with his parents after he lost his job in Tokyo and getting closer to the adopted son of the elderly neighbour. Also yea Boys Run The Riot is phenomenal. The two page spread in volume one gets me every time I see it. It's just...so much trans energy packed into one image.
From your recommendations, Restart and Is love the answer really caught my eye! I’m gonna try and pick them up when i can! Thank you for the recommendations!
I'll admit that my collection is lacking in this department since I'm not a part of the community and tend to read more hetero stories, but Given has been on my radar for a while now since I love music (especially pop-punk and alternative music). Another series that's been on my radar is My Summer of You, of which I believe volume 3 releases in November, so I might wait for that volume to release and then binge the entire series.
Insanely late comment but I’d definitely recommend Go For It Nakamura and Go For It Again Nakamura (which is the sequel). It’s easy to read since it’s just two volumes in total if you count the sequel. It’s about a dude who has a crush on one of his classmates and them becoming friends. Sounds very basic but I promise you it’s a good short wholesome read!
I had no idea shuzo oshimi started a new manga! Thank you for the recommendation, i am very hyped to read it! Gender --and especially femininity-- has always been an invisible yet key theme in his previous works and in a fascinating way to me. This new manga is not surprising at all all things considered, but I still feel pleasantly surprised! (sorry if i said things you already mentioned or w/e, i haven't listened to you talking about the manga since i'm so interested to discover it myself)
I’m glad you were able to find out about this series from me! I agree with gender, growing up and self identity are topics that Oshimi loves to play with. Just from the 4 volumes currently out in English i feel like he might’ve peaked with this series.

Those are both good picks. Even without the romance elements, they both have respectable stories and the character are really interesting.
Love Boys Run The Riot!💖💖💖
