- Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, PRS and Taylor are Among the Guitars that have Passed Through my Hands in this - '40 Years on... A New Journey' - Return to Guitar Video Series.
Along with those iconic guitar brands, amplifiers unboxed and tested were a number of Fender offerings along with Blackstar and Bad Cat, with various effects pedals manufactured by TC Electronics, MXR, Dunlop, Ibanez and Mooer. So… it’s been a year since I first began this TH-cam guitar channel having published my first video back in April 2023 and a weekly video journey from then. That video journey began with an “Introduction” - to my return to playing and recording guitar - ( • V1: Playing Guitar 40 ... ) and onto the joy of taking delivery of my very first Fender American Stratocaster - ( • V2: Playing Guitar 40 ... ) and the beautiful tones when played through the Fender Twin Reverb Tone Master combo - ( • V3: Playing Guitar 40 ... ).
One year later and that journey has been a busy one, I would go onto test guitars I would never have considered at the beginning and yet, my studio would see the arrival of Custom Shop instruments from 2 of the big name manufacturers and most surprisingly - the day the first 'Relic' model appeared began a chain reaction - ( • V9: Playing Guitar 40 ... ). This video highlights some of the equipment I have unboxed and tested and what I finally decided upon… Enjoy!
