Hi Derek - Thanks for chipping in... I'm still playing around with it alongside other pedals in-conjunction with the reverb on my Bad Cat amplifier... regards: Stu

As always Amin - A big thank you to my most encouraging and long-standing viewer... ;-) Much appreciated! I do hope you are well as I was somewhat concerned regarding your accident last week... warm regards and please do take care of yourself... Stu
I'm late , I'm late for this important video date - yes E.H. are an old company - I remember buying a Flanger and Big Muff in the early seventies but they are both gone now. I have an Elesis Half Rack Reverb that has done many gigs [ and before computer recording ] studio work. Cheers for now Stu. and I hope that guitar goes to someone who really wants to become a serious musician.
Lol... ha ha Rob... I had to look that one up to remember where it came from - " I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date! No time to say "Hello, Good Bye" I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! (White Rabbit). Now I can't get that out of my head... ;-) - I've an interesting speaker cabinet arriving on Friday but won't get to do a review for a wee bit... trust all is going well getting those lead breaks nailed... regards: Stu
I used to have one of these, but instead of Plate it had Flurb. I told my wife as much, and we had to go down a "What is plate?" rabbithole before I could come back and finish this.
Hi Craig - Question for you... you mentioned you are using Mojo-Tone speakers with your Marshall head - Do you really find a big difference using them compared to the stock Celestion Marshall offers with their vintage cabs? I have been looking at Mojotone (seem to be only available from Germany) and greenbacks. Tried to get Marshall to sell me an empty cab but they said no... ;-( Regarding the 'plate' reverb - just in case anyone's interested - "Plate reverb units are big, enclosed cases. Hanging inside of the case is a thin metal sheet, aka the “plate.” When a sound is played into a plate reverb unit, vibrations inside of the case create the illusion of reverb" What on earth is a 'Flurb'? Lol.... regards: Stu
@@StuGuitarChannel Yes I find them unbeatable by anything but vintage pulsonic cone greenbacks. When the formula burnt up in the early mid 70s they changed to rola and never got it right again. Mojo’s bv25M has a cone breakup closer to the original pulsonic paper than anyone else, even celestion. Remember, the original formula is a mystery. The best demos I can find are on Johan Segeborn’s channel, but being inexpensive they’re easy to find and check out and move on if they aren’t for you. Would make for a good video, my interface is broken otherwise I might make a mojo bv video of my own lol
Getting a sticker! Always wins for me! Back in the days when I really liked punk rock and hardcore bands - I wanted stickers and pins (small buttons) for everything. Since all the bands I liked were underground, I don’t think my pins will be worth anything in the future. The reverb sounds nice...could get a Dick Dale sound with that pedal. Never played with reverb as a pedal. And truthfully don’t use it too much other than when playing clean blues, and at times with a chorus pedal. I use digital delays a lot. Does the pedal react different if a distortion pedal is placed before or after it? I am thinking, like a Cry Baby, after and before distortion almost two different effects. Thanks for the review 😊
Hi Jasper - Yes it's a nice pedal for no-mess reverb and just gives a bit of a lift to the tone of any instrument. I am careful with reverb and particularly with delay, especially when recording, because as you know, too much cannot be corrected in post. Yes - distortion before and after makes a difference to all my modulation pedals and when I record I put those through the effects loop on my amplifiers (all have effects loop features). If using my pedal-board I keep the modulation / reverb pedals before the distortion / boost pedals (amplifier - modulation / reverb - distortion - guitar). For anyone interested I did a review on this when first setting out a pedal-board seen here - ( th-cam.com/video/Q1l5T-PaSOs/w-d-xo.html ). A free sticker... well, that may have just pushed me to get this particular pedal ;-) I had a friend who covered his guitar, amp and guitar case in all kinds of stickers... looked a right mess... but considering what I use to look like and what I did to my gear... I'll refrain from any furthe comment... ;-) regards: Stu
I think the Plate reverb is the one I would use most 👍
