    We have jam in America too. The difference is basically that Jelly is made from fruit juice, while jam is made with crushed fruit or fruit pulp, and preserves is basically a thicker version of jam with a higher proportion of fruit. In terms of taste, I've never really been able to tell the difference between jams, jellies, and preserves made from the same type of fruit.

    Suggestions:
    1 - One episode about the economics of cruises (Hassan Minhaj did a great episode about that in his netflix show - Patriot Act) - They get away with a lot of shit by flagging their ships as panamenian and hiring phillipinos as crew and by being essecially in international waters
    2 - Already commented that one in another video, but since I dont expect you to come back to older videos just to look at comments, I will suggest it again: How nintendo basically created the playstation brand that now got a large chunk of the market, making nintendo focus on inovations on playability insted of hardware power.

    • @Remianen
      @Remianen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      1 - It's not just Panama. Right now, the country of convenience is the Bahamas. You also have Liberia, Vanuatu, Malta, and Cyprus. And they hire filipinos (and people from South Asian and Eastern European countries) because of the pay scale (Americans generally wouldn't accept those wages) and their desired service focus (we aren't known as the best when it comes to providing service). It would be cool to see Simon tackle the subject though.

Moore-Large, Upgrade, Madison, Silverfish and Hotwheels (not the toy cars) make up the majority of high-end bike and component distribution. A few companies work directly with stockists (shops etc) but most bikes and parts come through a handful of companies.

    I had heard of Otis for 2 reasons.
    1. The building I work security in has Otis elevators in it and the name is on the floor of the elevator.
    2. My 5th cousin, Elisha Otis, was the founder/inventor of the elevator. His name is the name of the company, though its no longer in the family.
