Vergenoeg Hiking Trail | Best Hike in Hartebeespoort

I was so surprised by this hike and that I only got to it now, it's an absolute must if you stay in Gauteng. You can also take your dog with and we were very lucky to get some rolling clouds. It's 10km on the app but we only got to 8,9km.

This is beautiful. Are the routes clearly marked? And do you think it’s safe for a single hiker

Hi, the routes were very well marked and definitely one of the best hikes around Gauteng but I dont know how safe it will be alone seeing that the cliff is quite steep and some spots could be risky alone.

I did it solo today. I was ok. Best to do it on a weekend, then there are other people around and you are not totally on your own.

It is quite challenging going up but if your up you don’t have to loop like I did. The route is quite short then 😁 but the climb is still there
