  • This scenic and thrilling hike is situated in Drakensberg, SA. A 6 km hike (one way) with panoramic breathtaking views. Iconic chain-ladder section of the hike will start after 60% of the trail. This part is scary but when you are on it, there is no going back :)

    At 1:50, the path crosses a rock face which can't be avoided and is quite scary and dangerous in the wet.

    How intense ware the chain ladders. Did u encounter problems with the locals?

      They were quite intense, however once you start climbing you will get that extra braveness :)
      No, no problem with the locals at all, now it's a lot safer.

      Fstopro thanks. I did the hike to Angels Landing in Utah which was nerve wrecking . Hopefully I will be able to clim* the chain ladders
