      Aloha,
Thanks for the love and support!
I hoped for more revealing results, but you never know when doing these experiments. Watch the other three videos listed in the video description section. These do make a difference in the final string job and will improve your technique! 🤙

hi albert. i have that same book and its full of great information. i was going to ask if stringing in cold weather vs warmer weather affected string tension but i figured you being in hawaii have consistent weather. i know playing in different temperatures in other parts of the usa does affect string bed stiffness and the ball.

      Aloha Coach Dudley,
Yes, the strings will feel stiff in colder temperatures; the opposite would be true in hotter temperatures. I guess this would be one time I wish our weather wasn't so CONSISTENT. 🤣

Hi Albert, excellent video as usual and very informative. I have a question, though not related to the content, but it's in the context of consistency: Almost every stringing instruction insist that a racket should be mounted with the butt cap logo pointing up. Is there any real scientific reason or wisdom to that?

      Aloha,
Thanks for watching. I'm glad you found it helpful.
There is no functional reason why the butt cap logo should face up when mounting a racquet on a stringing machine. In my opinion, other stringers that you mentioned mainly point out this for the purpose of consistency. In addition, some professional stringing teams will require all stringers on the team to do the same.
On the contrary, I always mount my racquets with the logo facing down. I did this in my early stringing days in the 1970s, and it's also one of my "Stringing Signatures."
You can watch this video and see why. th-cam.com/video/vTIawSH6wso/w-d-xo.html
The only time I would mount a racquet with the butt cap up is when stringing at a pro tournament, and the player requests for it. 🤙
