Thank you very much for the podcast! Cleared a lot of things for me (Civil Eng student) and provided some great insight I wouldn't have found anywhere! Thank you to Matt and Don and Dr. Nissenson!!
It's a very good experience hearing this podcast and you are doing a great work, it gives an insight to the engineering world . Thanks for sharing your experiences and advices.
Thanks! Four more episodes with different conversations will be uploaded in the near future, then we will reevaluate whether or not to continue this podcast series.
I am a junior in high school and I’m 16 I didn’t know exactly what engineering really meant until this video. I don’t know what kind of engineering field I want to major in but I know engineering just fascinated me and I need to do this for my career. I am wondering what I need to do if I’ve only ever taken regular classes except for science bc of COVID I couldn’t choose my clases this year due to the fact I was in another country. I am wondering what kind classes or programs do I need to take in order to transition into a job or career like this
To get into an engineering program, you should do well in your math and science courses in high school. But even if you don't, you can go to a community college to develop those skills, then transfer to an institution that offers bachelor's degrees.
Episode 4 is all about mechanical engineering, and Episode 5 deals with what it's like to be a senior-level student (both students interviewed were ME). You might find some useful information in those two episodes.
Remarkable line
" Degree is not a certification of what i know but what i am capable of learning"
Yup... No engineering program in the world will prepare students completely for any job. Every job will require a lot of learning.

Currently struggling with my 1st year fluid dynamics assignments and listening to this podcast. I really enjoyed it!
There is light at the end of the tunnel if you can make it through your coursework. Thanks for the feedback.
This was a really informative podcast. I enjoyed it!
