David is the best male vocalist on the planet and has been for the past 25 years. I know...I have seen him live 11 times live from the front row, met him and his family multiple times and have been to his home for two barn bash events in Tennessee as well. This recording is 23 yrs old and it is still far and away the best I have ever heard since then. He is still the best tenor I have ever heard. It's truly amazing there are still people who have never heard of this truly anointed man.
There are a couple of tenors that come to mind that are in his wheelhouse. Those being Austin Brown (Home Free) and E. J. Cardona (Voctave) that are in the same breath, but David is king. Had the good fortune of seeing him live in IN this summer. Did not disappoint and he really was entertaining when not singing.
That was David Phelps singing and Bill and Gloria Gaither's are the promoters of the concert in Birmingham, AL. You should check out David's catalogue. It is deep and it is wide. He is classically trained and chose to sing for Jesus! Blessings
