I know I’m late to the party, but I am truly shocked that Dawson is not on here. I get it that he was a high school boy, but he was the single most selfish & whiny person ever. He literally cried & begged Joey not to go to Paris (which was her dream) just because their relationship was so new. He’s so selfish & manipulative. I rewatched the show last year & couldn’t believe how he treated his best friends.
I'm surprised that no one from PLL made the list. Ezra is literally one of the worst boyfriends. And there are others too like almost anyone Melissa is dating or Allison's husband.

I would argue that TED from HIMYM, is a worse Boyfriend than Barney. Barney never seeks to find meaningful relationships. TED does, and every single one ends badly.
Mattie from Awkward comes to mind. He got better, but early seasons Mattie was so horrible, I still get heartbroken when I think about how he would screw Jenna in secret, but pretend he didn't know her in public because he was popular and she wasn't. Then she finally gets a chance to be with someone who likes her for her, and he sabotages it. Maybe it's just because it felt so real. It's unfortunately extremely common for a guy to be like "I don't want us to be anything but F-buddies, but I don't want anyone else to have you."
Honorable mention : Joey Tribbiani from Friends, let's face it, He was a womanizer and this kind of guy isn't good boyfriend, he was a good friend, but for a relationship not good at all, he was like Barney from HIMYM

I watched this expecting Nate Jacobs (East Highland’s own Biff Tannen) to be #1. When I saw him at #9, I just had to see which 8 more guys are considered worse than him. When I saw Ross Geller being considered worse than Nate I just knew this list was a joke.

Worst tv boyfriend: Campbell from The Society. Absolutely horrible to Elle. Manipulates her, holds her underwater to scare her, giver her bruises, basically holds her prisoner. She had escaped him more than once and he always found a way to force her back. Compared to most of the people on the list, Campbell is 100 times worse.
Larry wasn't that bad. Piper was infinitely worse and most of what he did seemed to stem from things that she did. I found myself actively rooting AGAINST Piper by the end of the show's run. She was the most selfish person.

Barney and Robin both had commitment issues which made them better for each other so they could work them out together, especially since they were friends for a few years before developing feelings. Ted was just obsessed with Robin, and not the actual Robin, but the Robin he wanted her to be. Ted is anti-gun and Robin is a gun enthusiast. Ted made Robin get rid of her dogs because of his own selfish insecurities. Obviously Ted wanting kids was the big one. But my fave example was in the episode "Baby Talk" when Ted was complaining to Robin that she never "made him feel needed" but Robin asks Barney if she ever made HIM feel needed and he said not but that that was a GOOD thing. He loved her for who she was. Plus, they had more similar interests. Ted and Robin would NEVER work. Forever hate the writers for that terrible ending.

Worst tv boyfriend: Campbell from The Society. Absolutely horrible to Elle. Manipulates her, holds her underwater to scare her, giver her bruises, basically holds her prisoner. She had escaped him more than once and he always found a way to force her back. Compared to most of the people on the list, Campbell is 100 times worse.

Larry wasn't that bad. Piper was infinitely worse and most of what he did seemed to stem from things that she did. I found myself actively rooting AGAINST Piper by the end of the show's run. She was the most selfish person.
Joe is probably the worst, but also the most obvious..Puck from Glee is quite bad as well. I also agree about Dean. To me Ross is kinda hard to judge , I mean.. at some moments he is awful, like trying to act like it was okay to cheat/ engage with someone else that shortly after having heard he and Rachel were on a break.. but there are moments when he really shows that he loves her.

Jimmy lishman/Steve Wilton wasnt used by estefania but forced into a marriage by her father if Steve/jimmy rejected it he would lose more then a ear. Also it seems since I'm rewatching the show n it shows him as a supportive boyfriend if anything Fiona either pushes him away or craps on him like when they were digging up the body. He's was goin through something n instead of being supportive she literally trashes what he's going through n does this whole mine is worse then urs.
The whole show is about flawed and terrible people, yet they single out Jimmy! He did everything for Fiona, spent his last dime on her and her siblings and once he was just as broke as they were, Fiona started treating him like trash. Ted was just obsessed with Robin, and not the actual Robin, but the Robin he wanted her to be. Ted is anti-gun and Robin is a gun enthusiast. Ted made Robin get rid of her dogs because of his own selfish insecurities. Obviously Ted wanting kids was the big one.
But my fave example was in the episode "Baby Talk" when Ted was complaining to Robin that she never "made him feel needed" but Robin asks Barney if she ever made HIM feel needed and he said not but that that was a GOOD thing. He loved her for who she was. Plus, they had more similar interests. Ted and Robin would NEVER work. Forever hate the writers for that terrible ending.
