Freelancers on Fiverr are usually from poor countries like Pakistan and India. They work and do freelancing to make ends meet. Trying to give them 5$ for a website is demeaning and insulting.
The thing is, most of us have no idea how is it to be a programmer in a third world country where you can literally hire a senior developer by 500 dollars.
For five dollars the first one was already good enough as far as I'm concerned. If you provide good services this cheap, you just make webdesign a cheap profession
The jQuery in the second one is a dependency of Bootstrap, and removing it would limit some Bootstrap capabilities and could have effects on image scaling/gallery views etc.
This is my first contact with your channel. Do you talk about the way that an American freelance software dev might use such sites as Fiverr to earn a living? For example, I've heard that some people present themselves there as "troubleshooters" offering to repair or maintain sites built by the $5 people who no longer reply to e-mails.

But I agree, he reminds you that you CAN leave a tip IF YOU WANT before he delivered anything. That is weird. Imagine coming to a coffee house and the waiter gives you looks for not leaving a tip first before you even open the menu.

I don't think they're ugly, but they're just forgettable. So many SPA sites all look the same, not to mention they have a huge top to bottom scroll which makes it extra annoying to find stuff.

I only remember my mum asking a (former) friend for a website for her then small business. They agreed on 20€ somehow. Well... the outcome wasn't looking very nice, was full of bugs and also had no encryption whatsoever. And then he suddenly had the audacity to ask for 20€ per single page (10 in total). Never ask a friend who "can code" for that. Not surpringly that friendship ended at this incidence.
And if you asked me to build something for 5€ I'd use a bootstrap boilerplate :D at least it looks nice
He wasn't asking for a tip as in money, he was asking for a tip in a way of how to get started.
Yeah you are probably right!
if you look closely at 5:45 you can see that the dog picture is behind the last picture,
Gotta admit you can create a such web page with basic html with ease (with out the dynamic picture effect)
Man loved this video. I started web development about 3 months back just for fun with about 5 dollar course on udemy. And I'm not gonna lie this made me think good about myself.

LMAO! ROTFL! Fiverr has some serious house cleaning to do.
You just threatened me and TH-cam has very strict policies for threats. though i'll like your post dont get angry
Dev Ed : i have a 1GB internet
me: cries in megabytes
I have a friend who lives upstate, he barely gets 5 down, 1 up :(
the image container shows a padding left and right which makes it narrower than the first section. i would not load bootstrap when i can do it with a few lines of CSS.
Freelancers on Fiverr are usually from poor countries like Pakistan and India. They work and do freelancing to make ends meet. Trying to give them 5$ for a website is demeaning and insulting.
Not worth the money? It's 5 dollars. How much are you expecting for 5 bucks dude?
yeah how could he expect any better?
You get what you pay for
give me 5 i can make u site better than the first guy
@@TheTillmanSneakerReview
That's on papers dude, welcome to the real world!
@@HarshRajAlwaysfree
Anybody can make a website better than the first guy, even the first guy himself!
I guess the saying that you get what you pay for is true!!
The thing is, most of us have no idea how is it to be a programmer in a third world country where you can literally hire a senior developer by 500 dollars.
Not really
for $5, the second one is absolutely amazing
Haylie R. Wilson surprised he went through the step by step coding in CSS and HTML, a lesser man would’ve just loaded a theme and plugged stuff in.
His passion will pay off in the end excellent work by him
He wasn't asking for a tip as in more money, he was asking for a tip as in a hint.
i cant even get a beer for 5 bucks. what do you expect...
You must live in NY...I'm sorry
@@Unmaleable lol xD
you really shouldn't have threatened him like that
The moment when Brad Trabery = armed robbery and Dimitri Marco got his swagger ooooon 😆 LOL
I wanna give award to the first one! "Web developer of the computer history" will be the name of award. 😂
the demitri marco one was probably a free bootstrap theme and about 15 minutes of work
For five dollars the first one was already good enough as far as I'm concerned. If you provide good services this cheap, you just make webdesign a cheap profession
th-cam.com/video/BzeUNhWKtIE/w-d-xo.html
WTF U DESERVE MORE VIEWS
haha, this is amazing 😂 I would never be like this to my customers!
If they pay you 5$ then you definitely will
The jQuery in the second one is a dependency of Bootstrap, and removing it would limit some Bootstrap capabilities and could have effects on image scaling/gallery views etc.
I kinda felt bad for the last guy, u should have probably given him 5 more dollars xd
Professional developers now a days working for 5$. WOW !!!
I wouldn't call any of them "professional".
the developer of the second website has just copied the get started cdn link on bootstrap website
and he got just $5
*Becoz that's what heroes do*
This is my first contact with your channel. Do you talk about the way that an American freelance software dev might use such sites as Fiverr to earn a living? For example, I've heard that some people present themselves there as "troubleshooters" offering to repair or maintain sites built by the $5 people who no longer reply to e-mails.
th-cam.com/video/BzeUNhWKtIE/w-d-xo.html
I'll admit, some of these guys are good. But some of them are so bad that even I could do them 😂 I am also going to be getting your courses Ed! You are my favorite programing youtuber. Keep it up!
tbh he didnt say "please leave a tip before i start working"
he literally wrote "you can leave a tip" as in " you may do such an action of social customs as leaving a monetary sum for a job well done, if you as a person on this planet see such job as of good quality". But I agree, he reminds you that you CAN leave a tip IF YOU WANT before he delivered anything. That is weird. Imagine coming to a coffee house and the waiter gives you looks for not leaving a tip first before you even open the menu.
This guys are making the web design and web development industry cheap and they don't even know how to build a Gorgeous website. It makes the web designers and web developers look fools.
They're charging $5, this isn't MIT bud
12:15 "I HAVE 5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE!!4!"
*5+ years of experience*: Read Me button goes 'mailto' and 'Menu buttons do nothing'.
IMPRESSIVE! :D
I swear to god... Those people...
$5 what do you expect
All these sites are are cookie-cutter templates and they are customizing the images and text. While the sites are functional in my opinion they are quite ugly.
I don't think they're ugly, but they're just forgettable. So many SPA sites all look the same, not to mention they have a huge top to bottom scroll which makes it extra annoying to find stuff.
Now I know why I would never make it as a freelancer. I don't have the ability to rip off people and try to scare them with firing up a support ticket against their valid requests...
Woah... I laughed throughout this video. Now, I can feel why css grid concepts are important.😆🤣
True :)
