    Great video. Yanmar makes excellent equipment and the YT series is one of the best compact tractors on the market.

    Got the 359 and its awesome. one thing is the quick connect couplers. the drip fluid with every disconnect. Not just a drop. I've got several compact track loaders and none of them leak when connecting or disconnecting.

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your CTL uses leak free flat face couplers vs pioneer style on the tractor. Pretty much all AG equipment has been consistently using the pioneer for decades so it’s hard to change even though the flat face couplers are newer, better couplers. Thanks for watching.

    I've been looking at this and no one wants to touch on why the accelerator pedal is so far to the right. Im going to be doing a lot of loading and logging work on the ranch and the controls just seem to be.. Jack of all trades but master of none. Loading and bucked grading is no problem. Going in, grabbing a few trees, reversing.. Seems like a lot of octopus hands all over the place. The shuddle shift im used to. Constantly taking your hands of the wheel and controls looks like quite a pain. A regular 2 peddle hydrostatic seems like it would work better in the woods because things come up quickly..

      I’ve got to be honest when I say that we’ve sold a lot of these tractors over the last few years and you’re the first person who has ever commented on pedal placement. I guess the hours that I’ve run it. I’ve never noticed it either. I don’t think the twin pedal system is a bad way to go. We sell lots of models of tractors in that configuration. However, the I-HMTis more efficient and a little more precise in control and features. You can set your tractor based off engine speed, ground speed, or even PTO speed as a baseline. It’s a pretty sweet rig, but if it’s not your cuppa tea or Massey lineup has a suite, twin pedal e-servo Hydro.

      @@prequipmentsales my concern is the forward and reverse for loading work with the transmission. I'm used to a shuttle shifter flicking it up and down. Is this one going to be happy doing it for 1000 hours?
      Most of its hard work is going to be clearing and maintaining trails. Tight trails so the more nimble, the better. After that it's just going to be brush hogging and helping friends. It's the control in those tight spaces I'm concerned about.
      Thanks!

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This actually a shuttle shift like you’re thinking. You’re basically flipping the hydraulic pump the opposite direction which is why it’s so incredibly smooth. There’s no additional wear. Similar to a hydro however begins to transition to mechanical at higher speeds

      I just inspected a yt359 at a local dealership and I must agree with that comment about the foot throttle being too far to the right. Also, people were asking about the fenders/hood material. The rear fenders are plastic. I do think the tractor is one of the better ones for cab and size. Only a good demo will convince me. @@prequipmentsales

    This tractor with like 40hp, and a little smaller rear tires would be perfect. I need something hydrostatic that’s a little bigger than the 235 but a little smaller than this 347.. I need something with power but a little lighter so I’m not wrecking customer driveways.

    Transmission sounds very similar to the Kubota L60 series though the Kubota has a high/low "splitter"

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  ปีที่แล้ว

      Quite a difference actually. The Kubota is simply an electronically controlled hydrostat whereas the Yanmar is closer to a CVT. Would be more similar to the KVT Kubota used in their larger tractors.

      Biggest problem I have here in the Dyersburg Tennessee area is that you can throw a rock and hit a John Deer or Case dealer but I gotta drive 2+hrs to find anything like yanmar or JCB.
      So that makes getting service or parts challenging.
      Especially agriculture dealers because there all in the surrounding states over 150 miles away.
      Edit: I've been looking at the yanmar harvester also but I haven't noticed them in the states yet either.

    Will they ever offer this tractor but with a standard shuttle transmission?

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  ปีที่แล้ว

      So the YM series is pretty much that but unfortunately there is no cab option. I think it’s safe to say that Yanmar has been pretty smitten with the performance and reliability of the I-HMT transmission in this series of Tractor. Personally, I just wish they would make a few changes to the controls of the tractor to allow us to utilize more of the capabilities of the transmission..

      @@prequipmentsales So after researching this machine extensively I do believe this is the route we'll go when the time comes. I do have a question, after researching the transmission I somewhat understand how it works. It works as a hydro with a pump side and motor side but can lock and form a very efficient direct mechanical transmission. So how do you know the transmission is in the mechanically locked zone? Maybe I'm missing something but that's my basic understanding. Thanks!

      Depends a lot on how you purchase/finance due to the rebate but loaded with cab would start in the upper mid/upper 40’s.

    Just to clarify, clutch is only required to switch between 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, correct? Shuttle on dash for forward and reverse.

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Truth is the clutch isn’t really needed for anything on this tractor. However some people still are used to a clutch they put it in there. To drive the tractor though you never have to use it and when shifting ranges it just needs to be stationary the clutch doesn’t have to be in.

Yanmar has a policy about “advertising” prices online that are below MAP pricing so I’ve got to be careful. We sell well below MAP and will hook you up with a deal. Also ask about discounts for preordering.

    I tested the open station the other day. I was very impressed with that tractor. I tested the A/B mode, the auto throttle, the rpm boost. The boost does work well when scooping dirt. I didn’t even touch the clutch, lol. Believe or not,…one of my favorite features is the tilt steering. Ive had to climb around the steering wheel on all of the compact tractors that I’ve been on. It makes it noticeably convenient to enter and exit the tractor.
    Also,…you should do a demo of exactly how the tractor works when the auto throttle is on and off. I think a lot of people don’t understand how it works.
