If I'm wrong Adam but was there not a red was there not a red weboo to replace her when she died in the middle of the film or is that I different thing all together, please let me know thanks.
This is amazing, Eddie you did a fantastic jobs all the hard work and love you put into this really shows. Adam I love that you care so much about independent creators like Eddie. I wish I had the knowledge to create things like this or get to work with someone like you and Eddie.
Tested Crew: You need to have this guy back. Super talented and has other projects, great camera presence too. Would like to see him as a regular guest in the future.
Aw, I actually teared up a little when Adam presented him with the original. It just goes to show that sometimes if you're passionate enough you can not only replicate your inspirations, but improve upon them and humble their sources. That is so fantastic.
I'm actually crying right now. I have wanted to make an animatronic weebo ever since I saw the movie as a kid, but I haven't had the time to do all the legwork involved in designing it. Now not only do I have a machine shop to work in, but most of the work is online! I can finally realize a childhood dream of mine!
OH MY GOD I had no idea Adam worked on that. That was literally my favorite robot as a child. I wanted the toys and a real life version so bad. I still do, honestly. How cool is this?!
Until today, I literally thought Flubber was one of Robin Williams's most disliked movies, and no one would care for this, but I am so happy to see that one of my favorite childhood characters was not only made by Adam and Jamie, but also gets remade now.:)
That's totally badass. Talk about the ultimate gift, on both their parts. Loved how Adam gave him his screen original Weebo only for him to give him the Flubber model in return. You can tell that both Adam and Eddy have big hearts. Great video.
wow. wow. wow. I can't believe how many aspects of electronics, computers, and actual physical manufacturing/development this guy has delved into for his hobby. this is truly a story of following your passions and not letting a day job keep you from your dreams. bravo to you and all the garage builders out there.
Adam is in the fortunate position of receiving some extremely cool stuff from fans. I applaud him giving back something that's personally meaningful to him. Darn nice gesture.
Oh my god, I *loved* Flubber as a child! I really need to watch it again sometime, it has been well over a decade since I last watched the movie on VHS!
Now I am feeling old ... really old .... I still consider this as "the new flubber movie" and then the scenes of the original one are starting to pop in my mind.
I smiled so much during this video. Weebo is seriously one of the coolest robots and one of my favorites from growing up. Thank you, Ed, for making Weebo come to life.
Ohhh how endearing was this whole show. Amazing work, and such a great gift from Ed and Adam, they really appreciate each other's work. How cool is to receive an original prop from the creator. Amazing.
Me too! Especially it was one of the first movies when I was a child that I fell in love with Robin Williams and how amazing he is. Hard to believe he's gone.
This guy just got his name out there he will not have to find parts ever again as his talent will get him great jobs in movie props great job keep up the awesome work and hope to see u on tested again with all ur awesome ideas
+Devin “Dray” Koks You'd be surprised just how much practical FX there is in modern movies. It never went away - CGI is an amazing tool, but it can never be a complete replacement.
not to mention with the advent of 3D scan and print the line is heavily blurred as physical props and sets are scanned for digital plates and the more fantastic props and set pieces are fabricated from digital files and in turn the digital files are used for digital VFX and the practicals are..practical. marry that with modern compositing apps like the foundry's nuke which can build digital meshes from live footage and can perfectly track real cameras you can barely tell where the live set ends and the digital extension begins. Legacy Effects (formerly Stan Winston Studios) are the premier studio who specializes in hybrid FX. though I thin they are mainly known for their 3D fabrication as I can't remember the last time they did digital compositing and the like. :D they are responsible for iron man's armor and all the robots in real steel:D god, I would love to see Adam and the tested crew visit legacy if not for the props their 3d fabrication facility.
This was simply awesome! I got tears in my eyes watching this. it was super cool when Adam gave his Weebo to Eddie! thanks for letting us be apart of this!
Need a "Love" button on TH-cam. That Weebo is amazing. The insane level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is fantastic. Nice Job Ed! Definitely a great addition to Adam's collection, and I'm sure it will be treasured as well. Always amazed at how humble and sincere Adam is. Thanks for sharing this
I was entranced by weebo growing up and always wanted to meet her. Thank you for your time and dedication for building her. I'm jelly Adam, treat her well!
I can barely watch this video without tearing up. This movie made me fall in love with Robin Williams and now he's gone. Adam, thanks for making my childhood amazing.
Wow. For someone that does this as a hobby, that build is truly incredible. I always think my day job takes too much of my time, but now I'm inspired to go build something. I'm in awe.
Ed, that recreation of weebo was brilliant. Flubber was one of those classic childhood movies of mine, and it was awesome to see that robot come to life. I even choked up a little when Adam presented Ed with his Weebo. That was awesome. Good job man. And good job tested for capturing this all and sharing it!
Amazing Job!! This made me smile so much :D Ed is actually really good in front of the camera he should have a segment following him on his projects or something. This also reminded me why I think Adam is so awesome, he's all about the community and always willing to help others reach there goals no matter how busy he is.
Awww,it's so adorable, I love it so much!! Seeing the elation on Adam's face was so enjoyable, and Adam giving Ed his original prop was so kind. ^^ Ngl tho, I kinda want a Weebo now. 😅
Okay, this is twice that Weebo made me cry. When Adam handed him the original parts, and when she dies in the movie. And then add in that Robin is gone now too? Good lord, pass the tissues.
I'm beaming from ear to ear. This guy is clearly passionate about what he does. He should be a guest from time to time whenever he completes his next project.
Adam savage is such a great guy like I've never met anyone who's ever had anything bad to say about him. Honestly love this dude. I forgot to mention how insane this build was this guy was taking no shortcuts haha he poured his heart into this and it really shows.
Agreed, the black hole robots hold a special spot in my heart. Old Bob was my favorite. I have an affinity for things not completely whole or a bit abnormal.
Wow...that's an awesome build, and it's so cool that his creativity and kindness was rewarded by receiving a piece of his childhood from Adam. Well done, all around.
I'm gobsmacked. Eddie seems like a super cool dude. Adam should invite him back for a colab project, maybe a one day build I#d love to see more of his work.
"Jamie and I make no bones about the fact that we're not friends. We don't get along very well together on a personal level. In 25 years we've known each other, we've never had dinner alone together."
Give it a few more years and surely we will have a Weebo that actually flies and does everything else it did on the movie, probably done by Adam and Eddie. Loved this video, loved the reactions on Adam`s face and loved that animatronic Weebo. Excellent work!
That was incredible! Flubber is a shameful black-spot in my movie knowledge having never seen it, but I can fully appreciate all the love and attention that went into crafting that lifelike model. I really hope Ed comes back to show off whatever his next creation is.
Adam Savage is such a genuinely good person. The realisation that a fan/creator/maker communicates with an original prop-maker that worked on a film that the fan cherishes, and then is brought into Adam's workshop to present his work, is an amazing idea. Tested is such a great and positive site for this side of the global community of makers... So much so that it really demonstrates the great opportunity offered to people that craft, create, make and aspire to authenticity in their projects, with examples of lovely people like Adam, with the support of the Tested crew... Really enjoyed this video, and hope for a video of the one-day-builds with Adam and Norm every week - appreciate that they are probably quite time consuming to create, but the Frank Ippolito videos do fill the void well, thanks. Regards, T A Dawson.
I was just about to post about this! I wonder not only how he was exposed to (bundy*) ginger beer, but where he obtains it from? Assuming somewhere local in SF?
+bayney08 he discovered it during the Mythbusters Down Under tour in 2014, he said he was hooked on it. He was back in Sydney a few months ago (Tested videos coming soon apparently) and must have picked up some more.
I don´t know why, if it´s the fact that I miss Robin, or if this movie showed up at the perfect point in my life, or if it´s the fact that I wish I was more like the character who was a dreamer like I am, but this video made me happy while it lasted. All of a sudden I felt like a kid again, my depression eased and I was happy to see two ground up men sharing with me their passion for this movie. Thank you guys, I appreciate it.
This is the reason I sub to TESTED, I get to see awesome people like Eddie show Adam their amazing creations and you can see the passion they both have have for the prop. Just brilliant guys, thanks.
Adam and this guy just elevate into gods level in my heart, this guys should ascend into heaven man, Weebo "IS" my childhood. Weebo is my entire childhood symbol. I'm gonna love you guys till the end of the world thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! this is salvation for my inner little boy.
This is literally the best thing I've ever seen!! My favorite Movie ever with the best robot ever made starring my most favorite actor ever. And then I find out the MYthbusters worked on Weebo behind the scenes!? Incredible work Ed, You are a God among Men! Thank you Tested
A Fireman did that, I am truly impressed. There are some very clever 'ordinary' people who are anything but 'ordinary'. This is one of your best uploads Adam.
Adam Savage is one of my favorite human beings. His passion and knowledge are truly inspiring. Watching him totally geek out over this made my day. When Adam Savage calls you an insane person you know you've done a good job lol. Great video fascinating as always
The only thing more amazing than this project, is the fact the 55 people disliked it... What were they expecting to see I wonder. Amazing work Ed! Very cool of Adam giving up one of his original pieces.
Read more about Eddie's Weebo project build here: www.edsjunk.net/weebo/
If I'm wrong Adam but was there not a red was there not a red weboo to replace her when she died in the middle of the film or is that I different thing all together, please let me know thanks.
This is amazing, Eddie you did a fantastic jobs all the hard work and love you put into this really shows. Adam I love that you care so much about independent creators like Eddie. I wish I had the knowledge to create things like this or get to work with someone like you and Eddie.
Now that we have a google home mini and amazon dot, maybe eddie can add that to the weebo project so that whenever you speak to weebo it answers back.
lmao "edsjunk". never would have clicked that without first watching this..
link is dead
Tested Crew: You need to have this guy back. Super talented and has other projects, great camera presence too. Would like to see him as a regular guest in the future.
Totally agree, he got that Tested Spirit in him
Definitely
this guy professional hobbiest who does firefighting for a hobby
good on you sir
Firefighters have a lot of free time.
+Arioch IV thats a good thing
Goretantath Right, heh.
Arioch IV now that I think about it my dad built two 3D printers
Isn't "professional hobbyist" an oxymoron?
Ed Zarick, you're a bloody genius, mate. This is absolutely fantastic.
Nooo It's pretty basic if you think about it, and look at how little attention he pays to Adam.... Kinda disrespectful if you ask me.
AHHH the FEEELZ
Muh Childhood!
Agreed Genius Ed, loved every minute.
and thanks for the memories Adam.
+MrSmithsFan Shut yer face, I don't see you making a better replica. Get off your damn high horse and remember Adam doesn't even know you exist ;)
@MrSmithsFan basic? disrespectful? What fucking video were you watching?
He's what the British call, "an absolute mad lad"
Aw, I actually teared up a little when Adam presented him with the original. It just goes to show that sometimes if you're passionate enough you can not only replicate your inspirations, but improve upon them and humble their sources. That is so fantastic.
my inner little boy is having the salvation of his time.
Me too Will Wahl, me too.
Eddie is super awesome. He should be made part of the tested army.
couldn't agree more.
They could use a firefighter
I totally agree😊
Absolutely! That's one awesome dude!
that's exactly what I was thinking! :D
Donny if you did, post a video!
I had the same thought and feeling. He said the 3d models are online. guess whos going to be printing a Weebo.
@FoxRcng708 Just because you have never had anything to be so happy to cry over doesn't mean you need to judge others who do.
@FoxRcng708 O, you're a sexist. That explains a lot.
@FoxRcng708 Not name calling, just stating the truth. Toodles!
OH MY GOD I had no idea Adam worked on that. That was literally my favorite robot as a child. I wanted the toys and a real life version so bad. I still do, honestly. How cool is this?!
Now that I've finished watching it: That. Was. Incredible. I loved every minute of this.
Adam's worked on a bunch of popular movies like The Matrix and Home Alone (3) to name a couple (and obviously Star Wars)
Until today, I literally thought Flubber was one of Robin Williams's most disliked movies, and no one would care for this, but I am so happy to see that one of my favorite childhood characters was not only made by Adam and Jamie, but also gets remade now.:)
Adahop I saw you on a neebs gaming video you made a map for em good job
Thanks! There's another (much better) one coming out with them on Tuesday!
That's totally badass. Talk about the ultimate gift, on both their parts. Loved how Adam gave him his screen original Weebo only for him to give him the Flubber model in return. You can tell that both Adam and Eddy have big hearts. Great video.
I really liked your comment, and in return, I wanted to give you this one.
wow. wow. wow.
I can't believe how many aspects of electronics, computers, and actual physical manufacturing/development this guy has delved into for his hobby. this is truly a story of following your passions and not letting a day job keep you from your dreams. bravo to you and all the garage builders out there.
Firemen have a ridiculous amount of downtime and $ to play with. Its really the perfect job to have for this kind of hobby.
One of the coolest things ever!! You could tell Adam was genuinely thrilled like a little kid on Christmas morning.
This makes me profoundly happy and I LOVE that Adam shared his original with Ed. Very cool.
Me too!
so did I as I was raised with a VCR younger generation got it easier right now
Now I am feeling old ... really old .... I still consider this as "the new flubber movie" and then the scenes of the original one are starting to pop in my mind.
I remember when I got it...
I still have it on vhs even though I don't have a vhs player. I looooved Flubber too!
I smiled so much during this video. Weebo is seriously one of the coolest robots and one of my favorites from growing up. Thank you, Ed, for making Weebo come to life.
Can the weathering of Weebo be made into a One Day Build? Please?
Best idea I've seen all day.
Yes!
Totally agree!
Ohhh how endearing was this whole show. Amazing work, and such a great gift from Ed and Adam, they really appreciate each other's work. How cool is to receive an original prop from the creator. Amazing.
Most impressive creator I've seen Adam interview yet.
Far from the best.
the guy does it part-time! def one of the most impressive
@MrSmithsFan sounds like you have an agenda dude.
this interaction between 2 creators was beautiful. they really gave the other something from their own heart. it made me tear up.
that guy! what a champ. you can really tell he loves making props! one of my favorite episodes in a while.
hell yeah. Really enjoyed his enthusiasm.
almost teared up when Adam handed him that original prop...I was like you did it man. Bravo!
This was so amazing. I had forgotten how much I loved Weebo!! Clubbed holds such a beautiful place in my heart.
Flubber* not Clubber lol
Me too! Especially it was one of the first movies when I was a child that I fell in love with Robin Williams and how amazing he is. Hard to believe he's gone.
Clubber is the name of the devil, among seals.
Tested needs to hire this guy, so informational and proffesional.
My inner child is doing cartwheels right now. Flubber was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and I never Knew Adam and Jamie worked on it!
Same here! It makes me love Flubber even more. Man I want to rewatch it now :)
This was such a feel good episode. That ending man.
Same! I loved all of Robin's movies, but Flubber has got to be my favourite. I'm so amazed how much of my childhood Adam helped shape.
as to everyone in this thread, last time i checked Flubber is on netflix!
This guy just got his name out there he will not have to find parts ever again as his talent will get him great jobs in movie props great job keep up the awesome work and hope to see u on tested again with all ur awesome ideas
amazing build. keep on keeping on man you have a bright future in the industry
Problem is is that there is very little need for practical effects these days. So I think he may keep his day job.
Hmm. The Force Awakens? Ever hear of that?
Cliff Hartle it's coming back. Like every new toy it's starting to lose its charm. Practical effects are coming back because their is more charm to it
+Devin “Dray” Koks You'd be surprised just how much practical FX there is in modern movies. It never went away - CGI is an amazing tool, but it can never be a complete replacement.

this guy just won my respect, he revived a childhood memory on my head
15:36 I just love Adam's face here, he's like: "This guy right here."
Very enjoyable episode btw.
This was simply awesome!
I got tears in my eyes watching this. it was super cool when Adam gave his Weebo to Eddie!
thanks for letting us be apart of this!
That was really awesome. I'd love to see more Ed on Tested.
this episode brought a tear to me eye
Me too turbonut20v, me too.
That replica Weebo was spectacular. A true piece of art from top to bottom.
Fan girl screaming that Adam was a part of Flubber's production 🤩 Great job Ed with your research and effort, it shows amazing results!
Dude that Eddie guy is AWESOME!I agree with everyone else he should be on the tested crew!!! such a cool and nice guy and u can tell he loves his work
Need a "Love" button on TH-cam. That Weebo is amazing. The insane level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is fantastic. Nice Job Ed! Definitely a great addition to Adam's collection, and I'm sure it will be treasured as well. Always amazed at how humble and sincere Adam is. Thanks for sharing this
It's amazing how far he went with this kind of innocuous project. That's really cool.
I loved Weebo as a kid! This video really brought a smile to my face. Thanks for sharing!
That's awesome, great job man!
Very classy of Adam to give him the originals as well!
I was entranced by weebo growing up and always wanted to meet her. Thank you for your time and dedication for building her. I'm jelly Adam, treat her well!
That Weebo just blwn me away and the credit to tested had me smiling from ear to ear
Great work!
This is why I love Adam Savage. He knows and appreciates the work that’s gone into making that piece of art. Hats off to both of you. Keep making.
I can't wait to see Adam make TARS from interstellar.
I can barely watch this video without tearing up. This movie made me fall in love with Robin Williams and now he's gone. Adam, thanks for making my childhood amazing.
Waow Ed was great, i would love it if he came back in the future :D
his enthusiasm is great to see. Very watchable guy. More of him please.
Very impressive work. So cool of him to do that for you.
That is a phenomenal robot. So heartwarming to see the sharing of Weebo's :)
Wow. For someone that does this as a hobby, that build is truly incredible. I always think my day job takes too much of my time, but now I'm inspired to go build something. I'm in awe.
I have to say, this guy is good. He's very good.
AMAZING! Hire him! (and i want someone to look at me like Adam looks at Eddie...)
What do you get the man who can make anything? An homage to his own work that blows him away at every turn. Well done sir!
God, I really miss Robin Williams :(
Adam savage is such a great guy like I've never met anyone who's ever had anything bad to say about him. Honestly love this dude. I forgot to mention how insane this build was this guy was taking no shortcuts haha he poured his heart into this and it really shows.
He should do the robot from the movie "The Black Hole". I loved that one.
I think that one was called V.I.N.C.E.N.T
I always felt sorry for the old battered robot called B.O.B.
Other robots i really like are Huey, Dewey and Louie from 'Silent Running'
Aaaaand now I have to dust off my old VHS of Silent Running... Thanks for planning my Friday night for me!
Or Maximillian...the evil weed-whacker handed robot.
This guy was really dedicated. I'd like to see more stuff from his work.
I'm gobsmacked.
Eddie seems like a super cool dude.
Adam should invite him back for a colab project, maybe a one day build
I#d love to see more of his work.
Almost had a tear on. Great video.
Eddie rocks! Adam Savage = huge respect for passing along the work hes done. He is the reason i got into prop making.
13:57 the flubber is already on the table 😂
They added that video footage after editing. The audio was still before Flubber was presented to Adam.
He is incredible...Adam...I truly hope you make a place for him. He is truly talented!
This guy is super awesome. What a talent!!!!
OMG this was amazing! Some one needs to give this guy a job making this stuff for movies!
Ed out savaged Adam Savage
What an amazing man, he is super obsessive about details and not creepy at the same time. Excellent work
he did a great job why did they have to stop mythbusters
Because Adam and Jamie are friends and they didn't want to break up their friend ship because of their job
Adam and Jamie didn't like working together
Oh THAT'S why this guy looks familiar!!
"Jamie and I make no bones about the fact that we're not friends. We don't get along very well together on a personal level. In 25 years we've known each other, we've never had dinner alone together."
ehm, no
Give it a few more years and surely we will have a Weebo that actually flies and does everything else it did on the movie, probably done by Adam and Eddie. Loved this video, loved the reactions on Adam`s face and loved that animatronic Weebo. Excellent work!
Give that man a job!
That was incredible! Flubber is a shameful black-spot in my movie knowledge having never seen it, but I can fully appreciate all the love and attention that went into crafting that lifelike model. I really hope Ed comes back to show off whatever his next creation is.
best movie ever since I was a little kid..and it still is good..!!
Adam Savage is such a genuinely good person. Bundy ginger beer! good choice Adam!
diet though :/
close enough
I was just about to post about this! I wonder not only how he was exposed to (bundy*) ginger beer, but where he obtains it from? Assuming somewhere local in SF?
+bayney08 he discovered it during the Mythbusters Down Under tour in 2014, he said he was hooked on it. He was back in Sydney a few months ago (Tested videos coming soon apparently) and must have picked up some more.
+buck1t1er Bundy Diet drinks are still good, they don't use any weird sugar substitute.
EDIT:Turns out they do now :(
I don´t know why, if it´s the fact that I miss Robin, or if this movie showed up at the perfect point in my life, or if it´s the fact that I wish I was more like the character who was a dreamer like I am, but this video made me happy while it lasted. All of a sudden I felt like a kid again, my depression eased and I was happy to see two ground up men sharing with me their passion for this movie. Thank you guys, I appreciate it.
This is awesome!!! Ive honestly wanted to build my own just been busy with other projects ... getting distracted etc
holy far better than anything I could and would have done. This guy has serious dedication ...
Legitimately one of the coolest videos and creations ever featured on Tested, please bring this dude back in the future.
I came here because I thought it was weeaboo Animatronic
'I came'
its actually spelled weebo and not weeabo like many believe look urban dictionary
same
yeah i though "wait, that thing was called a weaboo?" then saw how it was actually spelt
There's both weeaboo and weebo on urbandictionary.
How awesome you have to be to impress Adam Savage. He was near speechless with the outro! Love it!
He was a bit of a flustered fellow, but darned if he ain't skilled!
bswtsp21 flustered? What do you mean he spoke clearly intelligently and never sounded nervous, I think your crazy lol
He did a great job. I think this is a case of trying to compare him to Adam who has 20 years of tv under his belt
This dude is seriously awesome. That movie was a big part of my childhood. A weebette and/or weber build would be an awesome addition to it
*Impressive!* 😲
This is the reason I sub to TESTED, I get to see awesome people like Eddie show Adam their amazing creations and you can see the passion they both have have for the prop. Just brilliant guys, thanks.
Adam and this guy just elevate into gods level in my heart, this guys should ascend into heaven
man, Weebo "IS" my childhood. Weebo is my entire childhood symbol. I'm gonna love you guys till the end of the world
thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! this is salvation for my inner little boy.
This is literally the best thing I've ever seen!! My favorite Movie ever with the best robot ever made starring my most favorite actor ever. And then I find out the MYthbusters worked on Weebo behind the scenes!? Incredible work Ed, You are a God among Men! Thank you Tested
This man. Knighthood. Now.
A Fireman did that, I am truly impressed. There are some very clever 'ordinary' people who are anything but 'ordinary'. This is one of your best uploads Adam.
that guy was an awesome dude
WOW! How fantastic is THAT! Hey, Adam, I loved this segment. More makers would be AWESOME! Eddie, your Weebo is AMAZING!
THAT WAS AAAMMMAAASSSIIINNNGGG!!!
Adam Savage is one of my favorite human beings. His passion and knowledge are truly inspiring. Watching him totally geek out over this made my day. When Adam Savage calls you an insane person you know you've done a good job lol. Great video fascinating as always
super cool, i'd by a weebo if you made a bunch of them and sold them on ebay.
i had a major crush on weebo when i was like... 6, btw
Snap... I think it was the voice and her demeanour. I was 10 :)
+Dee Bee same here funny enough i still have a crush on her
Maybe one of the best Tested videos EVER, you don't even need an Astronaut for this episode.
I can't even build an IKEA bookshelf properly on the first try!
HeyIt'sBaert honey, no one really do things right on first try (y)
Seeing these two so genuinely happy makes me happy. These builds are awesome!
Premature flubber spotting! 13:05 - 13:10 and 13:57 - 14:01 :)
The only thing more amazing than this project, is the fact the 55 people disliked it... What were they expecting to see I wonder. Amazing work Ed! Very cool of Adam giving up one of his original pieces.
Weebo's laugh is cute to me
Jesus Christ please ressurect weebo
