The biggest issue I've noticed in everyone's Helion footage is excessive Jell-O. Even the GoPro will need to be dampened like we used to do.
That's apparently a battery COG placement issue and a tune issue that the guys who designed this quad over at 2RAW Aerials have sorted with the latest Betaflight Dump.
Have a look at the most uploads on TH-cam of this quad mountain surfing, posted by @Philip Halvorsen, the footage is buttery smooth.
I noticed that with mine when I put the battery to far forward. But once iflight sent me the BF 4.4.2 dump. it all went away
@@dreamingorcahi, do you know how to setup helion10?
this my first fpv drone and dont know how to use,
i just bought
helion 10, goggles dji 2, remote controller radiomaster boxer ,
but dont know how to connect each other 😂
I’m gonna mod mine so that it has cross bars to add more stability
Bigger heavier drone will be more smooth in windy conditions while surfing around montains. Also they done a great job with aerodinamics which is also important in this class.
54 min flight on a 16,000 mah pack for the helion, people complaining about jello don’t realize most people that are flying true long range with them aren’t carrying a GoPro most of the time anyway and just want to cruise and do so for a really long time which it’s got absolutely no problem doing.
Helion cannot be used in tropical and coastal areas such as Indonesia, Australia, Saudi Arabia and other countries with hot weather. Iflight Helion has the weakness of "Overheating Very Quickly" at the core temperature in the FC/Air Unit so that it very easily reaches temperatures above 70 degrees Celsius when hovering, even when flying slowly cruissing. The Helion cover causes very minimal cooling air circulation. I canceled buying it, over price
Rubbish. I'm in Australia and I fly Helion all the time, inland where it's hot and along the coast where it's cold. You state this happens when "hovering" - that's not something Helion was even designed for, so it's probably best you didn't buy it.
Don't worries @greenskies_id , i agree with you.. helion has versi poor air circulation, heats up versi quickly and easily overheats within 5 minutes, i used it in farrars creek Australia... @@AcruxFPV is Rubbish only 103 subscribers, she just learning fpv 😂

Helion 10 is amazing! I love mine. It's a mountain cruiser for sure. Amazing flight time with a 6s 9000mah li-ion. Handles the mountain winds much better then my 7 inch
How much flight time?
@SmartContractHaxor 33 minutes is the longest I've flown it. Landed at 3.1 per cell. I just like it because I can fly more aggressive and still get good 20 minute flights. The red upgrade energy batteries are awesome for this.
@@SmartContractHaxor i get easy 20-25 mins in -10 C ( 70-80 kmh cruise) with my Helion. its a way better longrange drone than chimera(also have this). better lift, better stability in winds, 70% less prop noise!
and it looks 50% cooler ;)
@@christianmonghansen1671try the gemfan 7050 on the Chimera7. Much more silent
What controller and goggles are you using? I’m lost with deciding on the best setup. Thanks
battery could be hard cased which makes it squareish like that
Can't run batteries top and bottom in parallel, which to me seems ideal on a 10". For a big camera I'd prefer a 7" x8 configuration. It's cool that it exists, but it's not for me.
helion is overloaded, 55amp sec for a 3310 motor which runs 10 inch prop. And based on my experience on this esc, it can’t run 30amp continually.
Yea don't know why dodnt do a 80A esc
in my experience I dont push it to 30amp usualy 15-19 and sometimes just above 20 but i think i gotta change esc after hearing this…
@@freespirit2129 I have crashed my chimera7 in January, I was running an average of 70amp(total) for about 2 minutes, and I have air flow over the esc,it got to 104 degree Celsius. The anti-spark module is the main problem, the wire from it melted off and caused my crash.
@@sakuratears9731 u don't have side plates on?
@@divingfalconfpv4602 yes, i took them off after I discovered that the esc is overheating
Sounds interesting but they need to integrate something a little beefier than a GoPro to make the jump to 10" worthwhile.
0:13 7in is good 10 is better is exactly what she said.
i just flew mine in Jeju island korea where it is known for serious strong wind. The wind was so strong as to shake my car and i could not walk straight but my helion wow could fly in that wind!! but i used my car to block the wind when landing bc in that wind my helion needed to be angled to hover and if it is in this way props would hit the ground 😂
Sheesh bol
It sells for $950 now, 10 days after you made this video. 😳
I use the radio master zorro elrs and the dji goggles 2. I've flown out 4 miles on 250mw with elrs and have had no issues.
What’s ur fav drone bro
For long range it's definitely the helion 10. Some serious flight time with a 9000mah liion. If I'm going to do mountain diving or quick mountain flights I use my 7 inch
@@5280fpv nice ok
Converted my Chimera7 to a cinelifter that carries a naked bmpcc 6k :)
I've got all the files for that, intrested? hmu
Yes I am interested 👍
I’m interested too
And me
Lmao I just built a 10 in with parts from Ali express for less than half that even with the o3 air unit. what are they smoking almost $900?!?!
Can you share the parts list please ?
You‘ll have any recommendation for the frame/motors?
FC/Esc probably the speedybee?
@@MJ-mw3ni I couldn’t find any esc that could handle the amp draw, only one I found I listed in the comment above
Also be aware you will need to do a major tune on this build as a 10 inch will not perform under default parameters
My recommendation:
Master pid - 1.4
dampen 1
tracking - 1.1
Drift - wobble - 0.85
I term relax cutoff - 3
Jitter reduction - 12
@@MJ-mw3ni my comment disappeared for some reason. The FC stack I used was the geprc taker f722 with the 70a esc
I'd be surprised if the 10" wasn't designed with military in mind
lol they increased the price 100 dollars in the last month. 950 for base model. What are they smoking?
My chimera can get that time on the same battery
As someone who wants to travel and mountain surf with a bigger quad and bigger batteries... Do you guys fly with these huge batteries? What do i need to do in order to fly with them?
A 7" quad flies well with 6s2p 18650 LiIon cells. 6s2p 21700 cells get a too heavy feel.
Personally I dont recommend larger than 7".
It sucks traveling with such a large drone in your backpack.
Also hard to tune large builds. Maybe a BNF has a good tune already.
Otherwise props, motors and batteries are very expensive too. Just stick with 7".
The best and good budget battery is a self built 6s 21700 pack. Try the molicel p42a or p45b.
@@chrisbee5481i know there's a lot of fake liion, where it's better to buy ones?
@@chrisbee5481 dont recommend? have you ever tried Helion? , i have both drones and the Helion have so mutch better preformance, better lift, better flight time, less prop noise, looks way better . can easy fly smooth in high winds and higer attitude.
@@meotydaI buy them at nkon in europe. Sure you have an 18650 battery online store in your country. Make sure they are big. Then there are no fakes
im afraid of my 3" with 8000 kv
I get with my Chimera7 no more than 10 minutes with a 6s 6.000mah lipo battery....Throttle no more than 50% and amps no more than 25. And only the O3 camera, not an extra...
There's something wrong going on with your quad. I get 35-40 minutes.
Amps seem awfully high. Mine hovers at around 10.
@@rrbb5687 Is it the BNF version? I hope you are right...!!! 10 minutes is a joke.
@@rrbb5687 My baterry is lipo, not lion
@@rrbb5687 35-40 mins ? stop joking lol
mine is pro v2 which is slightly less efficient than regular chinera 7 and with 6s 3300mah lipo with 7040 prop i get around 9 to 10 min flying conservatively and 7-8 min flying aggressively
Flight time less because they using same 6s 8000mah battery. Should of used 8s 16000mah 😊
Wanted to run battery top and bottom to run huge battery. Its 10" can carry a lot of weight.
Should have
JELLion 10 💩💩
Ask a non long ranger about a long ranger haha. IT is a bad ass quadcopter if u like mountain diving etc. Ball up on real and own all the sizes .
