I've been on this ride about 30 times in my life, and my favorite thing about it is that every time I ride it, I see something that I didn't see before.
@@lauraharambasic5278 Yes. At the end, with the huge boulder, you drop down. It isn't as scary and you should be safe and it's quite thrilling. If anh of your family members aren't in a good condition or in that good of health, might want to skip this. In my opinion, this is the best thrill ride :)
To all of those people who think this looks slow and boring: This video, and all the other videos of this ride, don't do justice to the feeling of thrill, speed and sharp turns that this ride uses to be one of the most thrilling rides in the park. This is because of the legendary and revolutionary EMV's that we call the ride vehicles.
I remember hearing a rumor years ago that pulling on the rope used to make the ceiling in an earlier part of the queue lower an inch or so before going back to normal (the part with the spikes), but it may have been removed for safety reasons. Whether its a rumor or true, it still sounds pretty cool.

So she brought me and my family to the line and I honestly expected it to be some sort of small show or kitty ride. I thought this because she turned down riding most of the more intense rides at Disneyland. The further we progressed down though waiting line, the more and more I was like, “wow what a grandiose waiting line for a kitty ride,” LOL. And then I finally rode it and was shocked out my mind. Thank you Aunt Melinda for showing me this ride. It’s one of the best.
Man, I remember the last time I rode it we were a couple hours away from closing and the last ride we haven't gotten on was this one. We get there only to see there's a long line with an hour wait until luckily we see a lady walk to us wondering if we were gonna go in, and she gave us 6 fast pass tickets just for this ride (we were about 5 people plus someone else) and of course we took it without hesitation! Every time I rode it I cant help but just act along with the other riders like everyone has in this comment section; it's just tradition at this point. Hoping to go to Disneyland again soon someday!
Many people who are afraid of coasters do this because there aren't any loops or drops, They don't get as motion sick because they aren't watching a film that can get out of sync with some simulators, and they are so distracted by the action they don't realize how rough it is. It's like riding Kilimanjaro safari at WDW, or its sister ride Dinosaur also in AK
I also didnt know the ride existed at disneyland and I also didnt know it would shake, turn and tilt (i thought it was just gonna move on the track like the haunted mansion) but as soon as i saw the safety video and the car shaking and tilting i got even more excited for the ride
Strangely enough, that's how it's supposed to be. They have it so each ride is different than your last, not just counting the beginning either. As you said both the fire and lasers have a chance of showing up. I wish I could remember more, but I do believe there are more small details like this at Anaheim.
I remember my mom took me and my best friend to Disneyland the summer if the year this ride opened (1995). We waited 4 hours in line to ride this. But, it was worth it. This and Pirates of the Caribbean are still my two favorite rides at Disneyland.
Same, this ride and Pirates are my favorite. I love how atmospheric they are, and they are in my favorite area of the park. I haven't been for a good 5 or so years though, I'm really starting to miss it. Videos like these don't help.
It's nice knowing that they will never replace or retheme this ride because first off it's too huge of an investment to replace with something else and too complicated to re-theme, but most of all everybody loves this ride even though it's like 20-25 years old now! Everybody's top favorites for sure, even still there's nothing quite like it.
GoldenSquid 296 there is one main drop at the end, but it is really fun. Nothing scary. Went on it twice last week. Next time I go want to ride on it more. Haha

This has always been my favorite ride as a kid. Ever since I was 9 when i was introduced to Indiana Jones (which is my favorite movie franchise), I always dress as Indiana Jones when I go to Disneyland every year and I always sit in the drivers seat of the ride. I never stopped these traditions and have been doing it for 10 years now.
Honestly one of the best rides at Disney from what I can remember. I also remember it’s always broken or something messed up with it 75% of the time I go.
The video doesn't do this ride justice. It's actually very fast, full of sharp turns, and there's a huge drop right after the boulder that you can't see because it's in the dark. It's a really fun ride.
I went to California using the City pass during my spring break of my 2015-16 schoolyear, and the backpack fell of the ride vehicle so the ride stopped for like 30 minutes because of my family.
I got one back in like 2007 when we went on space mountain I wasn't paying attention when the gates opened and my family was getting on the ride without me, I got stuck in the gate. Safety lights went up and everything inside the ride because of me.
miss the time when they actually had three paths to go (yellow, blue and purple) and you never knew which one youd get... cmon disney its 2017 stop being lazy and bring back the good memories
There were no revolving doors, it was three separate tracks. Each ride was randomly programmed, so each ride was different. That was part of its magic...
I love this ride. It’s not a big roller coaster but it still gives me the same feeling and once it broke down twice when I was in line so the thrill that it could break on us added more fear.
it used to be wayyy faster but they slowed it down and i noticed it when i returned to this ride. Maybe to keep it running properly but it’s still without a doubt my fav ride. Hey guys, the ride was renovated two years or something ago. It looks way different, but still manages to stay pretty cool. Some parts were kept, like the skeleton guards and of course the boulder.
I was extremely disappointed that I couldn't go on this ride with my parents last year in October, because I had a back spasm. The rules say that you aren't allowed to board this ride if you have back problems, so my parents and I decided to go on rides that reduce back spasms. This year in May, it's closed again for refurbishment. Unknown reasons haven't been revealed yet. The Haunted Mansion isn't so bad. The Hatbox Ghost is back.

Um so, I was looking for this ride on TH-cam. It was my first time in Disneyland when I got on this ride. I was enjoying the ride for a minute or so until I started to realize I was moving way too much. I look down and I see that MY SEATBELT WAS NOT ON! The woman who was in charge of checking the seatbelts was on my other side, so no one checked my side. I was way too excited to even pay attention as it was my first time in Disneyland. When I realized my seatbelt wasn’t on, I started to freak out, while also jumping everywhere with the ride. Trying to find my seatbelt and putting it on, especially with the crazy movement, loud/creepy sound, dark/flashy lights at the same time, was the most stressful thing I have ever experienced, I literally thought that day was my last lol. But totally enjoyed the ride, I will definitely never forget it.
This is one of the few attractions that looks meh on TH-cam but amazing in real life! My family and I went to Disney land last year for the first time ever and I had seen the ride on TH-cam. I am one of the biggest Indiana Jones fans. It just felt like it was lacking something. But when I went on the ride, it captured the thrills and fast adventure from the movie! This attraction is amazing! I still like dinosaur better though.

I loved this ride. The rocking car added to the experience. Was kinda nice seeing the people on the ride with you. It made me smile and reminded me of the good times of my youth.

I could go on this ride all day and never be bored. I have gone on this ride almost every single summer since it opened. I have a picture of me standing in front of the "Don't Pull Rope" well making a funny "scared" face. My favorite spot to ride in is the driver's seat because I get really into it, and always yell "Jesus, take the wheel!" at the drop at the end. XD
Shooter Cade that's not true. During a 2013-2014 refurb they replaced them all with new high tech lights. It's so annoying though like why don't they stay on?! Lol

Back in the 90’s, there was a cop appreciation night once a year. The park closes early, the crowds leave, and then the southern california cops and firefighters get to enter with appropriate ID and a ticket you bought at your station prior to arriving at the park. With only a few thousand people spread out all over, you could stay on rides as long as there wasnt anyone else waiting to get on. I got to stay on this ride 3 times in a row without getting back in line. You could literally jog thru the lines to all the rides you wanted to go on. If i remember correctly, the shops and restaurants were closed, but having no lines and staying on the rides as many times as you wanted, and being surrounded by first responders, it was all the best disney experience of my life. Now they despise cops, but back when america was sane, it was the best night ever.
Ive only been to Indiana Jones Adventure one time and that time i was in the front so it was really awesome! Even if I had my eyes closed for most of the ride...
I remember last time I went to Disneyland my friends and I got stuck at 4:33 and 4:43 with Jones looking down at us for like 5 minutes. The best bit was instead of backing up then going under the bolder, we just dropped out of nowhere with no announcement and no bolder and it was hilarious and terrifying! 🤣😂
Wow so my family and I have been to Disney world so many times and last year went to Disney land for the first time, and we thought this was a show so didn’t go. Didn’t know it was a ride! Man we missed out, looks so cool.

This year in May, it's closed again for refurbishment. Unknown reasons haven't been revealed yet. The Haunted Mansion isn't so bad. The Hatbox Ghost is back.
Andrea Patane aww i know the feeling, but better safe than sorry, especially that ride that jerks side to side, part of the fun is just exploring Disney land, even if u don't go on all the rides. i suffer from random dizzy spells so when i get it, i can't ride anything.

Um so, I was looking for this ride on TH-cam. It was my first time in Disneyland when I got on this ride. I was enjoying the ride for a minute or so until I started to realize I was moving way too much. I look down and I see that MY SEATBELT WAS NOT ON! The woman who was in charge of checking the seatbelts was on my other side, so no one checked my side. I was way too excited to even pay attention as it was my first time in Disneyland. When I realized my seatbelt wasn’t on, I started to freak out, while also jumping everywhere with the ride. Trying to find my seatbelt and putting it on, especially with the crazy movement, loud/creepy sound, dark/flashy lights at the same time, was the most stressful thing I have ever experienced, I literally thought that day was my last lol. But totally enjoyed the ride, I will definitely never forget it.
last time I went on this ride, my car got stuck in in the snake room. the exact spot is 3:42 in the video. right next to the big snake.

This is one of the few attractions that looks meh on TH-cam but amazing in real life! My family and I went to Disney land last year for the first time ever and I had seen the ride on TH-cam. I am one of the biggest Indiana Jones fans. It just felt like it was lacking something. But when I went on the ride, it captured the thrills and fast adventure from the movie! This attraction is amazing! I still like dinosaur better though.
This is the best version of the Indiana Jones ride in all the Disney theme parks bar none.

I remember when i first went on this ride years ago and the guy who sat where the steering wheel is yelled out “how do you work this radio man?!”
I loved this ride. The rocking car added to the experience. Was kinda nice seeing the people on the ride with you. It made me smile and reminded me of the good times of my youth.

I remember being so hyped to get on the ride when I was young but once I got on it and the sharp turns came and the speed accelerated, I was so close to crying 😭

My family is a Disney addict but we have only visited Disney World Florida.... I never knew that Indiana Jones had its own ride! This looks so much fun.
The Dinosaur ride in Florida has the exact same track layout as Indiana Jones at Disneyland.
I could go on this ride all day and never be bored. I have gone on this ride almost every single summer since it opened. I have a picture of me standing in front of the "Don't Pull Rope" well making a funny "scared" face. My favorite spot to ride in is the driver's seat because I get really into it, and always yell "Jesus, take the wheel!" at the drop at the end. XD

Shooter Cade that's not true. During a 2013-2014 refurb they replaced them all with new high tech lights. It's so annoying though like why don't they stay on?! Lol

Back in the 90’s, there was a cop appreciation night once a year. The park closes early, the crowds leave, and then the southern california cops and firefighters get to enter with appropriate ID and a ticket you bought at your station prior to arriving at the park. With only a few thousand people spread out all over, you could stay on rides as long as there wasnt anyone else waiting to get on. I got to stay on this ride 3 times in a row without getting back in line. You could literally jog thru the lines to all the rides you wanted to go on. If i remember correctly, the shops and restaurants were closed, but having no lines and staying on the rides as many times as you wanted, and being surrounded by first responders, it was all the best disney experience of my life. Now they despise cops, but back when america was sane, it was the best night ever.

I remember last time I went to Disneyland my friends and I got stuck at 4:33 and 4:43 with Jones looking down at us for like 5 minutes. The best bit was instead of backing up then going under the bolder, we just dropped out of nowhere with no announcement and no bolder and it was hilarious and terrifying! 🤣😂

This is actually a great ride. The first time I rode it, it ended up breaking down when we were right under indiana jones. They gave us a second ride after that

One of my favorite rides (definitely my favorite line) but I wish it felt more like a roller coaster at points in the sense of that weightlessness you get.
