I remember when I was about 7 my older brother took me on this ride. i was scared of it the entire time, so during the whole duration of the ride i closed my eyes. Im happy i can see what it was like now.
Not saying I want it to happen, but I wonder what Imagineers could do in the park with all of that space being taken up by queue since it’s so massive if the ride ever gets replaced.
The queue is so long because it takes you to a very large show building that’s practically outside of the park because they needed the room to fit the whole ride.
Excellent camera work! And your camera captured the bright colors in the darkness. Great job! We were once stopped on the ride, with the lights on, before an in-show exit. It amazed me how this ride is 99% lighting. When the lights were on, it looked like a Six Flags attraction with cardboard and wires.
This is one of my "obsession " rides- rides I go on over and over and desperately try to go on one more time before park closing. My other obsession rides are Pirates of the Carribean, the Haunted Mansion, and Star Tours (I seem to be the only one since it is always a 5 to 10 minute wait.

Especially being a Disneyland fanatic. . Anyway, if I were you I’d consider filming a full park walkthrough video highlighting the sights and sounds of Disneyland without any commentary. Yes, other popular vlogs do this regularly, but you my friend, have the BEST camera/light/focus/steady settings. Not an easy task. From a fellow creative, keep up the great work.
Took a trip to Disneyland a few weeks ago with my brother. We were surprised with how the ride's sound was just THAT much louder, the motions were more jerky, and how the lighting has changed! In our experience, the snake (Fluffy) made little to no motion, the walls did not move forward at the boulder scene, audio went out of sync, and the snake hisses multiplying to 3 times its normal count. I always love each Indy experience here; even if the ride continues to have technological issues as we move toward the future :)
@@internetintellectual7426 From what I recall, the ride didn't seem to move slower. But then again, there was a lot going on so I might have skipped over that hehe.
If anything, those differences if not ride interrupting can kind of add to the experience as its a different experience everytime and really does feel like an adventure even if the ride elements are the same
That stall at the boulder scene is nothingI'll tell you one thing on the night before my 20th birthday in 2010, Indiana Jones was the last ride before the park would close and it's got stuck in front of the boulder. the show lights turn on and we were just sitting in front of a Boulder rolling in place for about 20 minutes. I went with my wife to Disneyland only once since it reopened. I couldn’t ride the Indiana Jones Adventure. Haunted Mansion’s refurbishment was greatly promoted as well as Snow White’s Enchanted Wish. No news about an Indy refurb. Riding this with you on TH-cam, the already great adventure looks like it was tweaked a bit and looks better than ever.
It always, always, always!! Breaksdown at the part with indy and the big ball trap. Usually it does that when the ride is about to close down for maintenance because when we got off there was no one in the lines and the operator was apologizing for the inconvenience. I got scared for a minute because ive heard stories about the ball getting to close to the cars and the trap door hatch not opening for the jeep to go down. Glad you guys got out safely
The ball literally can't go that far. It's on a guided track (you can actually see it in this video). But the comment about it always breaking down right there... so true. Super kills the moment and makes me feel cheated every time. 🤬
Not happening. Talked to cast members extensively about it and it was way too expensive to maintain, and was one of the top reasons for the ride to be shut down mid day. Thus they invested in the projection technology and used that to create 3 different “doors”. Don’t get me wrong it’d be great to have back, but Disney already assessed that it was worth keeping, and I doubt they would change their mind on it.
@@Clay3613 a little confused as to what you mean by “noticeable” but yeah projectors project light so it’s going to brighten the ride. They’ve brought the lights up everywhere as far as I can tell. Honestly I remember as a child being pretty scared of the ride due to just how dark it was. Obviously I’m not a child anymore, but I think today it would have been far more approachable to me, but that’s just me.

@@-willow-980 You'd be suprised. At Disney World they have a ride called Expedition Everest that has a huge Yeti animatronic. The ride opened in 2006 and within a few months, the animatronic broke and couldn't move anymore. To this day it is still broken. Hopefully the snake doesn't take that long hahaha.

Looks like they edited the video on the projector screen. Because before the safety instructions there showed a little movie telling us about Indiana Jones disappearing in the temple.
they're never going to fix that. the company that manufactured it for Disney went out of business so they changed it to projections instead of moving sets.
I had the Southern California pass for years. My wife (x-wife) and I would go to Disney 2-3 times a month back in 2003-2008. Indiana was the first ride we always went on first. We got divorced in 2010 and I haven't been back since. Too many good/bad memories I guess :(

Ugh this is so cool it reminds me of the mummy ride in Universal Studios in Orlando. In Disney world, there is no Indy ride, just a stunt show which is fun! And I love but a ride would’ve been more fun

After the lights went out, we sat there for about two minutes, saw some workers in the back of the Boulder (which can be seen in the video) and then we took off. Nothing too exciting
I really wanted to do this ride. Actually I did with my 9 year old son. However, I did not see anything 😂😂😂😂 I was so scared but my son had a lot of fun, he really enjoyed it. He told me what was inside, because I could not even open my eyes in there. 😂😂😂😂

I’ve been stopped during this ride as well. Lights completely off then on. I will never forget this experience.

Went a 2 weeks ago and WOW, the ride was still so good. I do think it was like, a lot louder than I remember it being.

Enzo Discovery hiccups like that mainly occur when the station gets backed up. That part of the attraction is a block brake.

There was actually people behind the Boulder also! I'm guessing they were resetting the Boulder.

Wait, the 2 doors at the beginning are 2 entirely separate show rooms!? I thought those were just storage/maintenance rooms for the vehicles?

Last time I went we got the full boulder scene but in the dark so we were just violently shakin in a dark hall and then a drop haha
