    Thank you for your video.
    I must say it’s clearer than that of Delonghi’s own video, because:
    1. The flashing steam button is the indicator of the descaling function and that’s not shown in Delonghi’s
    2. The descaling function in action has a distinctive squirting sound, which indicates that one has picked the right function. Again, that’s not present in Delonghi’s own video.

    This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

    I have never decalcified. In the user manual they classify water according to its lime content, as soft, medium and hard. In my case I use osmotic water. The first few times when I got the descale warning, -I had the soft setting-, I did a pseudo descaling, tricking the system to avoid the annoying warning flashing, but now I forget about it. I hope that the designers of coffee machines, think of the users who use osmosis systems.

    • @Eulyde
      @Eulyde 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@painpeace3619 No.
      The operation itself of reverse osmosis could be broken down into 5 stages:
      Stage 1 - Sediment Filter
      Let's say this is the splash area for water coming from the faucet. Here we will get a powerful 5 micron sediment filter with polypropylene fabric. Thanks to its high number of open micro pores, it is possible to achieve an effective absorption of all kinds of impurities on its surface such as: rust particles, silt, sand and any other suspended agent.
      Stage 2 - Activated Carbon Filter
      It is a high-quality granulated carbon whose main muscle is its large pore surface, which has the mission of exterminating chlorine particles, odours, flavours, phenol and other organic pollutants that we can find in tap water.
      Stage 3 - Combined activated carbon CTO filter
      At this stage the filtration is more thorough and dedicated, a filter made of activated carbon powder is in charge of reducing and even eliminating remaining particles of chlorine, pesticides and other organic impurities that could affect our health.
      Stage 4 - Semi-permeable membrane
      This semi-permeable membrane is the penultimate stage, here the water passes through it, leaving behind up to 97% of dissolved elements, among which are: fungicides, herbicide bacteria, uranium, heavy metal nitrate, drug residues and more.
      Stage 5 - GAC post filter
      Our water is almost ready to be consumed, it only remains to go through the last stage, a post filter that contains granulated activated carbon of vegetable origin that helps filter the water already stored in the reserve tank, thus guaranteeing its pleasant and stimulating taste.
