Everyone thinks Grogu was trying to say "This is the way" and maybe he was, but when they got attacked right after I thought maybe he sensed it coming and was trying to warn them
One thing i appreciate with the new Star wars stuff, is seeing the space ships flying around "in world" , hovering over water, around cliffs and valleys, seeing them among the clouds, and not just in space
I think this might have been our first look at Thrawn. Bo-Katan said that it seemed like a lot of ships sent after them for an Imperial Warlord, and Ahsoka was looking for Thrawn last season, which suggests that he's already been back but has been acting covertly for some reason.
All those Tie Interceptors, and "that's alot for an imperial warlord" made me go "oh dang, that means Thrawn"... can't wait for the rest of the season!
Just think of how that Mon Cal doctor is going to feel when he comes back to the patient that he just assured would NOT be mind-wiped and finds his brains leaking out his ears.
Saw you guys on the Fans React videos and just came on to look at reviews of the last episode and there you are, on your own channel. What I like is that you fill in the gaps for us and give reminders of back stories that we may have missed. So, subbed.👍👍😉
Wild that Hector was reacting to himself acting in the show! Great job Hector lmao. But for real - I get people who were like 'I needed more Mandalorian in this episode.' But for me, I loved to see just how lazy & arrogant & foolish the New Republic was (We're out here giving amnesty to fascists - yep, that will work) Great episode.
I think the music you laughed at in Monument Plaza was a stylized orchestration of the Rebellion theme that was introduced in Ep.7. We first heard it when Rebellion X-Wings arrived at Maz Kanata’s palace being played by a full orchestra. We hear it being played in Monument Plaze by a selection of instruments that would typically comprise a carnival band. Orchestration involves selecting which instrument is to play which line in the sheet music. Arrangement involves writing the details of the individual musical lines for each of the instruments. Writing a song involves creating the overall basic themes of a musical piece. Orchestrating and arranging involves getting down into the weeds and working out the final details.
Great reaction as always. Loved the episode and I agree - in time we’ll know why. And can I just say that Katie’s eyes as she fried his brain and munched on the biscuit was 🤯😱😳. Such good acting. I liked how Din called Bo-Katan just Bo. Absolutely awesome dogfighting! This is getting super interesting, Boyz! I agree - it’s tying in and not a coincidence. The musical cues this episode were on point as well.
I’m totally with you, I mean I know it’s not the case….but honestly that would be the most epic of epic reveals….with a sudden switch to the Kiwi accent.
I feel like Bo is going to take a Tarre Viszla approach, learning from both modern Mandalorian culture and the Children of the Watch and use that knowledge to better unify all mandalorians to take the planet back, especially since she's been the only mandalorian actively around for her people since Death Watch.
@@Haegemon well yes and no. taking it back as in taking back her control and returning it to glory. It seems like Bo might have left the mythosaur so that she can prove herself and be "the" mandalore in front of the gang, especially since she still doesnt have the dark saber.
The only claim bigger to the throne of mandalore than the dark saber is definitely figuring out a way to ride a mythosaur. Bo Katan I think is trying to figure out a way to claim the mythosaur before anyone knows about it too finally solidify her claim to the throne.
I think we're going to see Favreou & Filoni twist a tale over the next few years that leads us to episode 7 in a way that changes all our minds about the sequel trilogy. If they can pull it off, it will blow my mind 🤯
Or there is the theory that they’ll throw a different Filoni twist into the mix and everything we’re seeing doesn’t lead to episode 7, those films occurred in the timeline before Ezra saved Ahsoka.
I want to know Bo-Katan's intentions. She does seem somewhat in admiration and reverence for Din and the children of the watch (for taking the creed seriously) and yet, I feel as if she's possibly using that to her advantage. Why wouldn't she mention the Mythosaur?
@@dr.rockso2703 In terms of the Mythosaur, I’m mainly frustrated that she didn’t tell Din. He would have 100% believed her. What you say is kinda true for the rest of the watch members but Din and Bo already proved to be honest about bathing in the waters. So if she mentioned it perhaps they would’ve taken her srsly. Especially becoz their creed specifically are deep believers of those so called myths and tales.
@@Wico90YT This is what I mean when I say I wish to know/see her intentions come to fruition. Part of me knows that she wants to rule but I feel like she has a genuine respect for Din. A respect that she wouldn't simply disregard. Idk but I guess we'll see.
Did anyone else notice that not only was the music, during the scene when Pershing was getting ready to go out for the mobile lab with Cane, was very similar to the Opera scene between Anakin and Palpatine in Revenge of Sith, but also, the building where Pershing was giving his "lecture" at the beginning was the same Opera where Anakin and Palpatine had their conversation. Feels very intentional.
The visual of both Crosshair and Pershing being held in medical locations and experimented on seemed like a thematic tie in to me, whether intentional or not. The is a lot of room for details to be sprinkled throughout the different shows. More fun for rewatch hunting! 😁
Amazing episode! Loved to see those Episode VI production paintings of Coruscant by Ralph McQuarrie come to life, those scenes of the plaza were straight out of them, and the very Andor-esque level of tension kept me hooked.
I love that you guys are speculating that they are working from Palpatines orders… cuz that’s the origin and meaning behind the FIRST ORDER. They are Palpatines ultimate contingency.
I’m pretty sure they have been throwing Admiral Thrawn hints throughout this Season. None bigger than Thrawn’s theme when the Doctor tell the double agent he wants to get the mobile lab.
Dang, they messed Pershing up, He got it, she grabbed it, and probably passed it onto the Empire, and the police helped her, they trusted her just like he did. The people got soft, and made mistakes, and the First Order will arise stronger
She didn’t pass it to anyone other than the New Republic Security forces she was working with on the sting operation, it was evidence. The whole “now they know what he needed”…it was some basic mobile lab equipment. There is actually a chance that she was legit, but that she thinks that the New Republic is being too soft. It took all of like two days and box of biscuits to get Pershing to flip, that boy needed to be put down.
So I had to go back to the first season to look up if Jon Favreau is credited as Paz Vizsla in s1, even back then the character was credited to Tait Fletcher who is the man under the armor, while Jon does the voice uncredited apparently. He also voiced Pre Vizsla, leader of Death Watch in Clone Wars, so given this cult, the children of the watch is an offshoot of that, I wonder if Paz will play a larger part in the resurrection of Mandalorian society?
I think Thrawns chronological first appearance will be in Bad Batch where he is in charge of the facility with Dr Hemlock, the Commandos and the top secret projects. With the "Believer", captured Crosshair, captured Zillo Beast and the kaminionans they will do some dystopian secret cloning projects -potentially leading to death or dark troopers. its known that Thrawn wasnt a friend of super-weapons and prefered effective quality equipment en masse like with his TIE-program which wasnt funded because of the death star. this secret research site will then tie into the imperial remnant cell of the mandalorian S1 which was run by Gideon - which worked for Thrawn who worked for Sidious. Overall i expect that Filoni and Favreau go for the 'Heir of the Empire' storyline because they know its quality and the fans love it.
While Omid Abtahi, did an amazing job is his portrayal of Pershing, make him a character you want to empathize with. The dude was a eugenicist, even in his TED talk he slipped straight from I wanted to clone organs to here’s how we make genetically superior beings, as if it was the obvious next step. Droid juggling: It's impressive because it is actually an Ewok on stilts, dressed as a droid. 😉 "Don't talk to me about traps!" - Thank you Hector, my face hurts from laughing so much. 😁😂🤣
This episode makes me especially sad that Rangers of the New Republic was cancelled. I feel like the Dr. Pershing content would’ve been a whole storyline there-in fact, I wonder if it was integrated in The Mandalorian *because* RotNR was scrapped. 🤔😭
Waiting for Empire MRE Yellow (and Red?) travel biscuits and those stacked drinks to be available at Galaxy's Edge this next year. The starfighter battle was AMAZING, the mid plot was akin to Andor feels, and the "Trap" scene was a nice homage to the Admiral.

I think Kane was just cutting loose ends. Now that Pershing is in new Republic custody Gideon doesn’t want him squealing to them about the stuff he was doing for him.
This episode was sooo powerful. I loved it the most of any SW show I've seen yet outside Kenobi 106. It did so many great things at once, and said so much about humanity without ever having to lecture about it like Star Trek does. They showed rather than told and did it SO well.
Theory: Thrawn is hiding somewhere near the Mandalorian systems (hence the numerous fighters), and is working actively to wipe out the Republic's access to cloning tech. Why? The Grand Admiral needs that tech to rebuild the Imperial army.
I’m bummed people aren’t liking this episode. I thought it was very interesting and I’m intrigued how this episode will tie into the overall story. Calling it now, this will be the best season of Mando thus far!
