Welcome back to the channel guys, finally back out on a solo winters wild camp after being tied up for a month with work and family commitments.
On todays adventure I'm in the stunning location of Glencoe in the Scottish highlands.
Heading up to the beautiful Lost Valley in full winter condtions, with heavy snow forecast and gusts of around 30mph, I knew this was going to be an adventure of a life time.
Hope you enjoy, fell free to leave a comment and I'll catch you on the next one !!!

Hiya mate, yeah there’s no way them steps are dog friendly,
It’s such a stunning location so happy I’ve done it, hopefully onto the cairngorms next 👍👍
What a superb video, absolutely love it so far. And great image quality and music choice as well.
Many thanks for sharing.
Many greetings from Bangkok via Denmark...

Absolutely stunning views and perfect winter conditions and no chance of midges today! Alan in the wilderness sure looked happy with the pitch, the location and the weather and we can all see why, it looked amazing. One thing for sure, in a cold night like that the last thing I would want is a ice cold beer, a hot toddy, yes and more than one too. No mustard on my buns please but apart from they they looked amazing, filling and nice and warming too - YUM! Loved the time lapse, watching the darkness slowly creeping in and a bit more morning snow too. I did make it that far and good to see Mr Robin giving you a bit of company, cheers Alan
Hiya Al, seen you got a bit of a snow hike yourself ( I haven’t watched yet but it’s on my list )
Yeah it was a super cool location mate. Well worth the effort of getting up there, the Robin even followed be back down, so I had to stop and get a bun out my bag for him
Cheers for watching pal
What an awesome winter wonderland! Sometimes it's fun to fly solo, and we had a great time watching your adventure, as always! Hope all is well with ya and Happy Valentine's Day in advance 💘
Heyyyyuu guys, super late reply sorry, such a good camp this one,
Hope you guys are well and ill say happy Easter now ready lol

Cheers Alan - this is one heck of a winter adventure and it is really cool to see how you do it! My favourite part is your outdoor cooking in the dark. I would have thrown in the towel, boiled some water and just had a bag of freeze-dried mash, but you go all the way and that is awesome! And the timelapse of the lit tent is epic; that is one for #shorts for sure! As always an inspiration to watch your adventures and you are ready for longer winter trips for sure! All the best, Ant
Yo homie. I love the cooking part of it, more than anything gives me something to do,
I defo pushed it a little more on this one, but hoping my next will be in the Cairngorms which will be more like what you get … well as close as I can in the uk,
Yeah I think you’re right I’ve got the Timelapse on my phone ready for an insta reel and never thought about a short, so I’ll give it a go
Cheers mate, thanks for watching and hope you’re good
Brilliant mate 🌨️ one of the reasons I prefer a winter camp is due to the midges and Glencoe is brutal for them. Apparently Glencoe is good for friendly robins though. Excellent video mate well done
Mate the robin was super cool, he even followed be back down, so gave him some bread near the bottom and he left,
Cheers for watching pal
Great winters scenes there Alan 😊 a lovely place for a wild camp. Stunning and no midges about at all in weather like that. You can really see how much you love doing this in all your videos😊
cheers Yes, yeah I'm quite happy I didn't bother in summer as I think the mine would of ruined it.
hope youre well mate
Wow, Alan that was a fab hike up there in the snow. Great views too, looks fantastic covered in the white winter blanket.
You’re very brave hiking around in that, but fare play to you, you looked like you enjoyed it.
Bet it was bloody freezing but looked cozy too. Thank you for taking us with you Alan x💕👌🏻😁
Hey Kim, you know what it’s weird, I was never really cold, especially at night I had to strip down to my boxers as I was too warm lol
Thanks for watching and hope you’re both well x.
Looks stunning I've had it on my list for a few years tbf I think camping there in winter would be the best time because of the midges in summer
Defo get up there mate. I wouldn’t bother with summer, not just the midges but all the other people too lol … thanks for watching matey
What a fantastic place to camp. Well worth it 😊
Thanks Rach, definitely worth the effort getting up there 👍

Great job, Al. And what a location!! Wish I could get up there without the 10 hour drive. Also wishing for a snow camp too 😢.
Drive upto to mine or get the train and I’ll drive the rest mate, you might get a nose bleed being out the woods though 😂❤️❤️

That’s a perfect camp Alan ! Glen Coe (yes 🏴🏔️)just come back myself 12hours 😢but I’d do it every weekend if I could afford it (the highlands are the real deal🏔️🏴🏔️)
Feel the pain with the cold taking the battery 🪫 but nice to see mr Robin keeping an eye on you 🙏🏼
Mind the hilleburg is sold as you say ⛺️👌🏻perfect for this kind of situation 🏔️🏔️
Epic mate 🙏🏼🏔️🏴
ATB Simon 🤠👍
Hiya Simon mate, yeah I love it up there, I’m lucky I get to go up a few times a year with work so try and sneak a camp or hike in.
The go pro batteries really are a problem at the minute, I think come next winter I’ll swap to a different camera,
Thanks for watching
Atb Alan
@@54DegreesNorth don’t blame you Alan to be honest I’ve never rated GoPro’s ATB
Hoss likes his sauce, X3! 😎
I couldn’t decide so **** it, I’ll have them all, how are you mate x
@54DegreesNorth Fair to middling, it's been a harsh Winter lately. We'll be up to the freezing pint tomorrow though, woot!
Not correcting that to "point"...🍻
@@WaysideWade how cold has it been mate ??
@54DegreesNorth Around minus 29 Celsius, that might be with windchill though. I haven't been outside much. 🙃
Been saving this one. 👌🏻
Haha nice one mate, hopefully it’s bed time so I can bore you to sleep 👍👍
Looks class mate - wish I could have made it 😜 Think you need to up your cooking game though, few too many burgers for my liking lately 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂 yeah I know but it’s quick and easy, I’ll start upping my game as the nights start getting a little shorter lol
Thanks for watching mate
4th!🎉🎉🎉
cheers badger
Wow Alan but that place looks extremely cold out
Hiya mate, tbh it wasn’t to bad, I’ve definitely been out in colder, thanks for watching atb Alan
I'm dying to do a wild camp up here. We're tentboxing in Glencoe in a months time, so hopefully, I'll get a hike up there at least.
It’s a stunning location. Definitely get up there if you get the chance 👍👍
Finally got round to watching the video, cracking place to pitch isn't it. Last time I was there we had blokes coming past with ski's strapped to their backs 🤣😂👌
😂😂sod that !! It’s a surreal place, I’ll definitely go back at some point just not in summer, not with the midge anyway 😂
We were here at the beginning of the year as the snow came down! What a place! You did well to camp there in minus temps! Not sure if I could cope with that haha! Do you recommend that coat you have? Been looking at them recently!
Awesome BBQ set up! 👌
Subbed!
Hiya guys, nice one for dropping in, to be quite honest I don’t mind the cold temps, especially once I’m set up and got a rum inside me lol
Like you said, it’s a stunning place I’ll defo be back at some point,
The paramo coat is great, one thing I would say is it’s quite warm, so I’ve had people say they hike hot and the jacket is just to warm for them, personally I’ll only have my base layer on underneath and then I’m fine, but I’d definitely recommend it 👍👍👍
@54DegreesNorth brilliant thanks! Hoping to find one in the sales at some point lol! I prefer those types of coats that only need a base layer underneath! And I've heard some good things about the technology of these ones recently 😊
Haha might have to try the run idea when camping! 🤪
@@whereverwewander 😂😂😂 definitely give the rum a go, it’s my go to drink whilst on a camp 😂
