I wish there was a nail place around my area that could do good nails. Everyone in my area sucks, they clip your natural nails off to the point it hurts. Then they throw tips on and put so much acrylic on them that they are a half an inch wide. They have the acrylic flooding the cutical and your fingers hurt so bad for weeks. And they lift in the corners after a week. Also we cant get nail art, no one can do anything.

Wonderful! But I disagree about mauve and taupe. The color you called mauve (that you didn't use in this video) looks lavender to me. But your accent nail, which you called taupe, "Your Churn" is actually mauve!! Taupe is a mixture of grey and brown with no pink.

Don't be upset! I'm licensed myself and even I know there's other stuff out there. This is just introducing a different brand that are avaliable for professionals, not to sell consumers short.
There's brands like EMi (Russian brand but you can buy from their website even if you aren't professional), Vetro, Akzentz, or ibd. There are MANY out there. In fact EMi gels are EXACTLY this consistency and the brand specializes in SPECIFICALLY nail art and education in Europe. (Plus, it's my all time favorite brand)
Again, there are other brands out there that do the exact same thing. Don't give up! 🎉😀🎉

T HW They also have six new colors coming out on Sept. 29. They said how many colors they come out with depends on the response from the community. I am totally loving mine and can't wait for the new ones (actually releases of some very popular colors from their color gel line in this new formulation). I hope they eventually do all their new color releases in this formulation. The Buttercreams are so wonderful to work with.

Mauve? that looks like a light / baby purple to me. Mauve is like a dusty rose pinky type color. Right? lol

ButterCream is actually quite thick in the jar, but when it is agitated with a brush, it becomes thin for fast polishing application. If you want to do line art or other detailed work, leave the ButterCream in its thick, unagitated state for extra control. It is a really versatile product!
The consistency reminds me of Royal Icing. :)

Thank you for your response. I became a nail tech back in the mid 80's and I've seen many systems come and go. I've been retired for many years now but I still like to keep up with nail trends since I still do my own long acrylic nails.

That color she called "mauve" looks more lilac to me.. I got confused when she kept mentioning mauve, because that's more kind of grey-ish, muted down pink. It can be a bit on the purple side, but not bright purple. It's a really muted color.
I mean, I just noticed this, but the third color IS actually mauve..
I loved this video when it first came out, but I found when I want to calm down, I always come back to this video specifically. Its so calming to listen to and the buttercream application is the most soothing and satisfying thing to watch EVER.

Very pretty design! I'm wondering how well your nails held up with using a shiny but tack free surface as a base? I always thought the Butter creams needed to be applied to a finish filed, cleansed nail so they don't chip.

...define affordable first. It's kinda a given even in the pro pool that gels are pretty pricey. Some brands aren't as expensive than others (like China Glaze gel line, O.P.I, Gelish, or Naio Nails) and some just ARE expensive per bottle (CND Shellac, ibd in SOME cases, Presto, Vetro, or EMi are some pro brands that can be found by the general public)
Just check to see, and always keep your budget in mind. It's easy to spend more than what you have to on all things that glitter, but later not knowing what it's for. Happy hunting! 😀

I love that nude color! My favorite part was the white detail on the nude color. Normally I'm a huge pink or teal fan but that nude took the cake 😍
