Flying is my new found passion. While I have many hobbies, I also enjoy talking about things going on around me. I'm not an expert in any specific area but I have a very diverse background and an open mind to discussion. I'm all about opening a gateway to real world issues, personal frustrations, looking for solutions and even sharing thoughts and projects.

Superfly sent me a 22m Falcon 2 demo to test out and it has been an amazing wing. Tested it against my Dudek Driftair (for comparison only) however it will be replacing my Sirocco 3 (24m). Ended up buying a 24m Falcon 2 after testing was complete.

Great info 👍 You going to get the new 4.8 battery? Cheers
@@patrickmckowen2999 funny you ask I've been debating that. I've actually thought about selling my unit and upgrading to the new one... but I'm doing a current test on the EFI so maybe after that.
can this paramotor fly with someone who weighs 230 pounds ?
@@kb3mpx definitely, you lose a little efficiency with more weight but I'm a little over 200 and it's got plenty of power
Looks like a great area to explore by paramotor!
I’m jealous. I flew yesterday in 33 degrees here in Michigan.
@@kevinberry5793 yeah it had been like that here in Tennessee as well, that's one of the reasons I hit the road :-) definitely a nice break from the cold
nice one Adam
I really love my Gin Falcon 2 … I’m a little over weight on a 22 meter @ 132 kg…but it’s an amazing wing…at my loading it’s quite dynamic …what is your all up on the 24 ?
@@laynegiesbrecht1508 that's awesome, I demoed the 22 and the only reason I went with the 24 is I'll be using it for some camping Adventures so carrying a little extra weight. I was heavily loaded on a 22 as well and it was quite dynamic. But the 24 is not too far off to be honest, still super fun to fly and very responsive. All up I'm around 280lbs without camping gear
After 24 years, flying new places is still the best. Try Moab if you get the chance..
@@gsp2west 24 years, that's awesome! I have flown in Utah a few times that is one of my favorite places to fly. So much character to the land. I'll be heading back there in the spring
like your sport,it look fun,i don't see everyone do this in my country, envy your country can play this sport.
Love hearing your thoughts on the EFI-it looks like an amazing piece of kit! I’ve got a Macfly EFI Paramotor on the way, and I’m so excited to start flying with it. The area in your video looks absolutely stunning-it must be incredible to fly there! By the way, I’ve just started a beginner’s paramotoring TH-cam channel, and I’d really appreciate it if you could check it out when you have a moment.
@@RichardHartshorneParamotor you're going to love the machine, definitely simplifies a number of things. I'll check out your channel, thanks for sharing
@ Thanks mate , awesome I really can’t wait I think it’s the set up I’m more worried about but I’ve got someone to help me .
Now all we need is a fuel injected 4 stroke 😮
it's got to be on the horizon!

@@ToeJam31stPN are you asking if the electric paramotor is for sale?
@adam-newbloom yes

Nice review! I also demo'd this wing and purchased it. It's my second wing, first being a Flow Cosmos power which I loved. The Falcon 2 is definitely easier to launch/land but I do notice more bump feed back like you experienced. I have 20 hours under this canopy now and my only complaint is the trimmer ribbon, it's made out of a very soft material and mine is starting to fray to the point of wanting to replace it. Other than that, I feel this is a great second wing. I flew a Hadron 3 before this one which I liked a lot but the takeoff's had me nervous. Thought a Driftair would suite my flying style better but without test flying one, I didn't know if it was above my skill level so opted for the Falcon 2, no regreets!
Awesome feedback, thanks for sharing. Yeah the trimmer ribbon... it twisted on me once or twice so I can see where that might be an issue. I get my 24m on Monday so I'll fly the heck out of it and see! The driftair does require a bit more skill, probably your next wing if you decide to move up from the F2
@@adam-newbloom I forgot to add that ribbon twist, was my first flight on my purchased wing (I also sent the yellow back for purple) and I was trimmed out and got caught in a small gust front and while trimming back in, it twisted and I was freaking out to try and get it straight. I was not able to and flew home with it double over.
Very nice! Happy to hear the comparison to the Sirocco 3 too as that is my current wing. I kinda have the same feeling of wanting to branch out and try some different wings, but I can't really afford to do that too much and I am so happy with the Sirocco.
Yeah the Sirocco is a great wing, I have used that in so many flying situations and its always been great. I think the resale on those is pretty decent as people wanting to jump from a Spyder so if you ever decide to try something different you won't lose out too much. And the Falcon 2 is cheaper then most gliders.
Congrats again man! This was a fun one to watch and hear your thoughts on it! I’m really glad you liked it so much! I was shocked how much I liked it when I first tried it, so it’s cool to see you experiencing it as well! Looking forward to hearing more about it once you get the 24m
Congrats on the new wing. The Falcon 2 looks sweet.
❤❤❤
Thanks for the shoutout man! Love seeing you do stuff like this! We gotta do something like this next time I visit!
@@coltenwenger i need to do more of it... so keep the inspiration going bud!
Hi Adam. It's awesome that you're able to launch and land from your home. When I was flying paragliders 20 years ago I always had nearly an hour drive plus a 45 minute hike to the launch. Just one of multiple reasons why I got out of it but a lot has changed in the last 20 years for me and thinking about going with a paramotor, probably electric.
Thanks bud, yeah when I was looking for property that was a requirement! It's allowed me the flexiblity to get so many more hours of practice in. Hope you decide to re-enter the sport (with motor this time). It's an incredible life to live!
Are you using PPGSmoke headset? The noise cancelation sounds good.
Nice! Looks fun!
Hi Adam. Frank in Ireland. PG for 15 years. I bought a air conception 130. The noise is a pain when you are used to paragliding. So this seems like the answer. Any fears of the battery going on fire. ? How much is the motor. What is the news on the solid state battery. How heavy is it. Thanks
My only fear is that battery catching fire while flying and not being able to take it off my back
weight?
I weight it in the video - 83lbs with reserve and 8L of fuel
Adam do you have experience with modifying the ESC settings for the SP140? Random question to ask on here, but I'm struggling to find the correct information on OpenPPG's forum. Any help would be appreciated!
That was the exact information I needed to help me make a wing decision. 120 hours on the Spyder 24 and want to level up. This one just seems like the logical next step. Thank you for putting this video together.
@@78JCarter happy to help brother, you are welcome
Taco Bell was my celebratory dinner after we learned to fly! I'll always associate the taste of it with flying now.
Bummer!
Man, this was a great area to fly and explore. I hate that a piece of gravel cut that mission short. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Yeah buddy, let's get another one planned! All part of the adventure :)
So far would you say that efi was worth the extra $$ over standard moster
Actually the more I use it the more I can see the value. It is really nice not to have to deal with a carb! Once I hit 100 hours and can compare motor to motor time and money put into it I'll have a better answer.
Fantastic review! Thanks for putting all that work into it!
Nice video and great idea. Would you include what the product names are and where can I purchase them? Buying a Xenit myself so would be very helpful.
Thinking of getting into the sport. This is the kind of flying I would like to have. Thanks for making the video.
Have enjoyed watching a lot of your videos from the beginning. Just talked with One Up in Florida and will be ordering a Xenit in next few weeks. What size Cyclone do you have? Travis says to get a 34 but am more leaning toward a 38. Also, what type of water bottle holder did you get and a link to find please. Need to learn about all the cams you use too.
Hi Adam, me was told the guarantee for the moster EFI would end if you use another throttle than vittorazi’s! Are you sure the off-grid is “allowed”?? Thanks for your interesting content 🤙 frans
@@Niwaki-tuinbonsai yes you can actually order it with the off-grid throttle which is nice
After many flight on the electric 140 is the battery still holding full charge ? What’s the average time in the air with large battery. Thanks Adam
Too many incidents with speed-bars, think i will leave that one out!
20 M wing whats your weight ? Thanks
What happens when you fly through a swam off bees?
For me, the greatest use of the paramotor is to explore and adventure. New Mexico looks like a great place to do just that. I totally agree with your ideas about making the most of our time. Very thoughtful.
Thanks brother, looking forward to a little adventure with you next month!
That looks like Blue Springs. Fun free flying during the winter. Can also nuclear pretty quickly depending on the time of year.
Another great one and great thought at the end. Your lifestyle and way of life (from the outside) are inspiring and something I hope to attain in the near future as I move on to a new career. I believe whether you are an employer or an employee- the mental state you carry away from that and your ability to balance yourself through it day to day has the biggest impact on your quality of life and therefore also your fulfillment in life and productivity. While I’m on the employee side of things I hope the next step in life is something that allows me to have good balance in life like you have. That’s worth much more than a few extra $$$ on a salary to me and something flying and watching people like you have made me realize
What's your name brother so I can refer to you that way next time. I appreciate your comments and sharing your goals. The mental commitment is the hardest part - sounds like you are there! And yes, I sold my business where I was making a great annual salary to live on less yet have far more time to enjoy life. I'd rather have an amazing 20 more years then a stressful subpar 40 ;)
Amazing video once again man. Really enjoyed watching this trip series! I especially liked the message at the end of this video. Really hits home for me right now, and encourages me as well. Thanks man 👏🏻
Bro, I appreciate that and so glad it hit you where it did. You've got an awesome future ahead of you and I cannot wait to tag along on your adventure ;)
Great video! Can’t wait to fly the deserts again.
I'm looking forward to it as well... hoping for a fall trip!
I agree with you completely! Spot on! Enjoy your life to the fullest!
Why have a life if your going to be miserable right? Make an awesome day brother!
Hi Adam, super good video!!!. The words you spoken at the end are so true. Keep videos like these coming!
Hey, thank for the props. I enjoy making them - though time consuming it's a good reminder of my experience.
This is rad, taking my paramotor out to Tucson in August, i got the same PPG smoke headset on order, this audio quality is insane. glad to see it was worth it. Super awesome video. Maybe i'll see you in the skies! (edited after the ending) man those are very wise words.
Hey buddy, I really appreciate the thoughts and have a great trip to AZ - your going to love it there! I flew Sedona and that is beautiful. Words to live by.... I have to remind myself often as life gets in the way sometimes!
What an adventure. "Existing is not living", that's something never to lose sight of, yet many of us do. Love the Fred Flintstone running sound track
That motor sounds good!
Excellent tips!
