This video is terrible misinformation and I hope nobody else does this. You did exactly what Chevy did with high silicone aluminum blocks when they made the Chevy Vega in 1970 (read about it, Chevy's first aluminum liner-less engine). They used standard honing procedures. That engine had very high oil consumption from day one and high cylinder wear and they stopped doing this. They couldn't figure out how to solve these problems and abandoned liner-less aluminum engines. Then German manufacturers figured out how to optimally "hone" linerless aluminum engines. Instead of cross-hatch, they used a special acidic silicone compound to "eat away" the aluminum around the silicone particles allowing the piston rings to ride on the silicone surface and the "eaten away" aluminum space between silicone particles would store oil (the same way cross hatch does in steel liners). This process is called Alusil. It is not a coating, but an acidic surface treatment for high silicone aluminum cylinders. You can do it yourself, but you need to use AN-30 silicone compound and a soft felt tipped hone. The final product will not show crosshatch, but will be a smooth matte wall. That is what many German brands (Audi, BMW, Porsche, etc) use today. Take a look inside the cylinder wall of a brand new BMW and you will not see crosshatch but a dull smooth surface. What you did is create a oil burning engine that will wear away the cylinders fairly quickly. You should call this engine S85-Vega.

The fan in front of the car is for the a/c no need to have removed it. Now your a/c won't cool well especially in town. It also is a safety fan and runs when engine gets overheated.

@yevsbuilds I changed the both the water pump and thermostat, I went to start the bleed and there was no noise from the water pump…. Any idea what my problem is? (Also how long should it take to hear a noise , I waited about 5 minutes and then my battery died)

6:15 Did you turn the exhaust gear on the passenger side to get the bolts to line up? I’m doing this job right now and passenger side cams aren’t lining up. Found out I can turn the exhaust gear to get them to line up
