Installing new windows in the bungalow part 2
Are they comfortable against your skin or do you have to wear something underneath them?
When you first put them on they feel like they are going to be stiff and uncomfortable, but they soften up from you body heat and they are not bad at all, They are warm so I don't usually wear them in the summer, in winter I do wear some long johns to help keep my legs warm. It's 2024 and I still wear them, no issues.
@@skywaterhaven excellent. Thank you.
Oh boy, what a job!!

Good point about Made in China:) huge difference in prices comparing to Italian made, that cost in my town USD 2000
I'm from AZ, I was told with mine I started before my 3rd heart attack... That I have to tint my glass
I added a 1 foot spacer between the house and awning to let the wind blow through Believe it or not it works We live on a lake so with wind coming off the lake it works great
Bonjour j'aimerais savoir le problème quand on ferme la toile elle se bloque à deux pied avant la fermeture complète pouvez vous me partager une vidéo
Hi. Can you help me. The fabric is broken, it can’t be retracted.
Looked like a rough job. Good for you for getting after it. Nice videos man. How are you finding the tracks after having them for a while? I'm thinking about getting the same ones. Thanks.
awnings amuse dogs!
@SkyWater Haven - Can we get a 5 year update on the Awnings and how they have been? Would you still recommend them?
Anybody else get sketched out when you get a little wind and these awnings move up and down?
Good video good and bad this is what we will go through to install one for ourselves
Do you happen to know where I can buy the bearing on the handle? (The internal part)
Love this
Any updates?

Where can I buy in uk ??
The range marketplace online
Is it stable when strong wind blows?
I just got one and it seems to be but I still feel uneasy when the wind picks up
Where can we buy this? What brand?
That chicken.... 😂
As for the anti bird netting question. You’ll just need to hang the netting upside down.
I personally enjoy getting on my knees and pushing around muddy water with my bare hand
Used it 1 season. Leaves / branches always tangled up in it. Here in Michigan snow & ice continuously took it down ! Cannot withstand 100's of pounds of snow & ice
it needs a spring loaded hose tender. got to keep them hoses safe.
Pretty badass pants! Do you still have them? A 6 year review maybe?
Great pants for rough work. and should be warm in the winter, I would get suspenders with the button holes, I had the clamp kind and they kept un clamping. With Blue jeans I would sit on a lawn chair after rain and get a wet ass. I hate that. I like the knife pocket, I wear wrangler 13MWZ, and the watch pocket is large enough for a leatherman knife. I like that you showed your self working in them, and you got the oil on them also. How do you wash them, or you just don't? for that price they should last a life time ! great video !
dont need a damper, the slide thing on the left controls the air.
This youtube was very misleading and lead me too alot of frustration. Tell people to first remove the locking e clip!!!!!
LOL, watching you get tripped / tangled at 20:20 made me laugh so hard. I cannot tell you how many times that freaking netting hooked on my boots....the amount of profanities I was yelling all day long. LOL
The most failed video ever on TH-cam with the most incompetent and inept individual to do any DIY... The best video ever demonstrating HOW TO NEVER TRY TO DO something similar to installing an earth electrode or grounding rod !!! Oooohhhh My God... I don't even know how the black chicken didn't die...
Thanks for posting this video. I just picked up the same model as yours but in a little better shape and realized I need to reposition my ceiling bricks. thanks for the guide on that. Also trying to figure out if the lever on the bottom you showed at 12:34 is working
I never found a way to see how that knob attached to the vent. However, It requires heat to build up and flow up the chimney in order for it to start allowing the air to flow thru the stove. Once it gets going, you will see the smoke on the other side of the glass start flowing down in front of it. The fire has to be going pretty good before you sit the door.
Exactly what I wanted to see. Great content. Cheers.
Mine are also snug…the charts given are off…I bought a 38…chart mention they will size to a 40…or a little under…NOPE ..they are a 36…
Was wondering if they would work on compact tractors with skid steer front adapter
Same question
I know that I am 5 years to late, but I would have just flipped the bolt around so the nut was on the other side or if that didn't work I would have marked it, take it off to avoid screwing up the nut from the heat. Oh well, my dad said one time to me "Its cheaper for a reason" that is not always true! Yet it seem to be the rule not the exception.
How are these holding up after 4 years? Have you had to replace? Also any rusting?
Yes after 4 years they are still doing great, faded yes, no holes in canopy. No rust and were in the Pacific Northwest were nothing drys out after October. I'm sure I can get replacement canvas, when these start to go. I'm still shocked th price is still under $200. I've had the wind come along and blow these awning up and backwards over the roof, they just popped back down and all was good. Make sure you bolt these to studs in your walls, because the wind will rip them right out if you don't. One of the best items that I have added to my house with our small budgets.
@@skywaterhaven cool thanks!
Where can I buy these, and what brand are they?

I used a T post driver and a 8 ft. step ladder till I got down to about 3 ft. My soil was very moist at the time. I am going to try a 1 X 6 inch pipe nipple and cap to pound it further. A 2 in. pipe and well driver cap s probably best though.
Glad I'm not the only one who has nosey parker chooks. Flat drill batteries, crappy Chinese screws..Etc
Just got mine delivered today. This video is going to be a great help for my son-in-law who has been roped into installing it. Loved the issues part. That's real life and you handled them with great patience.
Thanks Betty, Its going on 4 years now an all my awnings shown here are still working and in great shape. Here in the Pacific Northwest!
Screw up
… I’m wondering how you deal with leaves that pile up on top of the netting when the trees shed leaves … ?
Just tinned a canvas jacket my self. WAAAAYYYYY less expensive than Filson. Gonna tin a pair of doubles... not $215!
I'm thinking of using bamboo poles to hold my netting up.... There is a bunch of 25' bamboo growing close by me.... so it's free
How come no one makes these for our trucks? :(
what is the tube replacement part number ?.. awesome video thank you!!
what did the tube replacement cost ?
hey all good?
does not look like there is a left and right swing.
@20:19 It appears the range of motion is about 10 or 15˚ less than a dedicated back hoe, but it should still dig adequately.
