    Just got my Outsunny awning today and searched for an installation video and found this one. Nice Job!!! I thought I was going to see a magic trick around 17:35 -17:54. I thought you would have disappeared or the dogs were now in your spot. I hope my installation goes as easy as your third.

(Size was 8x12). As of this year,(2020), They don’t Sell them anymore Unfortunately !!!😜🥴Now we have to Buy This Brand, & when it came, We Thought it was the Wrong size, because the Box it came in Accounted for its being 1/2 the fully Assembled Size...lol🥴☺️

    1) Good assembly video
    2) nothing in this video describes why they are the best.
    3) Possibly angling the awnings a lot more (even if that requires custom angled brackets) and evenly would look A LOT better than your current solution for reducing rain collection. The way it is at the end of this video makes your whole house look bad.

Everything is about shipping man! Thats why everything is cut in half and bent in half you gotta assemble it.Nothing over 8 feet long man! Costs to much to ship! Wait til it starts to rust? Good luck!Thanks for the video.

    Boy am I glad I bought this years model. They have re-engineered this to such a much stronger and easier to assemble piece, that this video is ALMOST not relevant anymore. They have replaced the plastic pins that hold the arms with steel and it comes with stronger connections that join the main structure. I paid $170 on Amazon and it was delivered 5/13/21 so mine is 2.5 years updated. Unbelievable for the money. Don't understand how they did it then and today it is even a better buy.

      Yes after 4 years they are still doing great, faded yes, no holes in canopy. No rust and were in the Pacific Northwest were nothing drys out after October. I'm sure I can get replacement canvas, when these start to go. I'm still shocked th price is still under $200. I've had the wind come along and blow these awning up and backwards over the roof, they just popped back down and all was good. Make sure you bolt these to studs in your walls, because the wind will rip them right out if you don't. One of the best items that I have added to my house with our small budgets.

      The lag bolts included with my awning were about an 1 1/2 in long. I decided to go a little deeper into the wall header so went to the hardware store and picked up 2 in long lag bolts. The key is to make sure you are anchoring into wood.

    • @jims7126
      @jims7126 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joshuamathermusic It depends on the exterior of your house. In the video, Terry's exterior walls are wooden. Simple drill through the siding and then into the header will do. My home has vinyl siding so I cut a square the vinyl in the pattern of the mounting bracket, cut a similar size piece of 2 x 4 wood and sealed the wood piece to the side of the house to offset the space of the small piece of siding that I cut out. I then drilled through the wood piece and then into the wall header and attached the mounting bracket. Once everything was caulked and sealed, I painted the wood to match the siding. Pretty easy and it is a solid base for each of the brackets.
