These cars are for young guys that want to feel like they actually are a real rally racer. The neighbor kid is a father and husband with one on the way. He has two older Mitsubies and he's real proud to crank up the engine every morning and and stand there for 15 minutes while it gets the oil pressure up and everything is Bice and snug. Then, he takes about 5 minutes to back out of the driveway and another minute to get to the stop sign 50 feet doemwn the road. I keep thinking what he's going to tell the hospital when his baby needs care: "Yeah, we'll get her there, but first I have to warm up Mitsubie, I hope she makes it....." Lol...total waste of time and money...

Not sure if anyone mention here or in the groups but your rotors are installed backwards. The viens face backwards and slots curve forward

If I had to guess I’d say between 40-50k thinking high 40s, the cheapest GTRs last year were about low 50s. I kept up with them every week until I finally got mine 4 months ago.

Love how you're slowly refreshing this car and keeping it alive. I also never plan on selling mine and recently decided to go all out on my build. Props to you for doing your own work!

Can't go wrong with Bilstein cool that's OEM. Then Swift Spec R are my favorite lowering springs. Perfect ride height and OEM+ ride good enough for 99% people unless you track often

Even though sliding in the snow requires a lack of traction, you can't make it look good if you don't have enough traction to start with! The fact it moved as well as it did with what I'm guessing are summer tires proves the effectiveness of AWD. Tell your buddy in the civic to try throwing it in reverse and backing up a few feet in a straight line followed by turning the wheel fully to one side and as soon as it starts rotating, hammer the gas to get the front end to rotate 180 degrees. It's a blast and only FWD vehicles can do it

Old vid but I ran 28psi on my 9 for a LOOOONG time, against everyone's advice and never had an issue. It was an RS also so it ripped hard for a fbo car. All about the tuning and proper turbo care. Don't overheat it, fresh oil, etc etc etc.

Just found your channel, you remind me so much of my oldest son. Binged watched the GTR videos. Owning one myself I've enjoyed watching your journey. Word of advise get an oil/air separator asap, or you'll fill up those replacement intercoolers and intake with oil all over again.

No manual is boring, and I love euro cars. I've been into volkswagens my whole life. Save the manuals! Thinking about buying my first JDM and evo is top on my list. 🤘😝

Where you get o2 housing?

I just got an 05 lgt for $2000 that had dry rotted tires. I got it running already and no smoke or weird stuff. Got some new gas and I think it wasn’t starting from a loose intake clamp. I put my 14 wrx wheels on w good tires and I think it’s ready for me to put on the wishimoto radiator and change the oil

Highly recommend the gates timing belt kit and buying the special wrenches to hold the cam gears in place. Don’t trust the timing belts and pulleys unless you have documented proof that they’ve recently been changed out.

Subaru engines are fun! Used to have an 06 STi and built the engine went larger turbo, injectors and top mount. Let me tell you, that car was quick! One of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Looking forward to watching your build and wish you luck with getting it running!

Is this tuned before pulls?

Did your tuner give you a base map and you just started ripping on it? or was the car tuned all the way? Also since the car was parked for so long, unless you drained the fuel and added new fuel, I wouldn't be ripping on it. Whenever i build any engine i usually drive it first , check for leaks and when im sure i dont see anything issues and im ready to go wide open throttle, i start in low boost, and low timings but i dont go ripping it back to back on a base map

Check if you have auto shift for paddle shift, my turner put auto shift on mine so even on M mode when I floor it, it’ll shift for me.
