This is untrue. Thou she does need time to heal but in one of the playthroughs I had she would tell Harkon to not touch your character meaning she would be protective for your character so and she also tells her mother Valerica that your character had done more for her than either of her parents in a thousand years so that sounds like she likes the dragonborn in some way

I don't know about the spouse thing, simply because there is little to no evidence of the dragon born aka the player in all the elder scrolls game, as in living family we know of and that's because every player plays the dragon born differently so for you to have the feeling you did the right choices that fit into the lore the dragon borns history and legacy is somewhat obscure, to my understanding that is

I only agree with the fact that Serana needs time, but nothing else. I'm not hating or anything, it's just that there's a lot of "evidence" that Serana is right for you. So, in my headcannon, I like to thinl that in the near future, the Dragonborn and Serana do get together and/or marry.

Yeah, not one of these is hitting even one of the things I like about Skyrim. Huge modding community (and the tools for pretty damn easy modding of small stuff with very little effort/experience), third-person, "fantasy stealth sniper". Why do so many people just assume that everyone like Skyrim for the features they see in those "Skyrim-like" games? Many players might indeed like it because of those, but extrapolating that to a video like this is some mix of ignorance and arrogance...

My dragonborn his the lissener, head of the thievesguild, archmage, harbinger, lord of vampires, etc, etc. I got more crimes/sin then all of skyrim combined. What is one more?

I'm soooo glad I didn't let myself be swayed by the biased arguments in this video. I installed the Serana Dialog Expansion mod. It improved the game 1000%. Serana is at no time "forced" into any relationship, or anything else for that matter. The content of this video is rubbish. 👎👎👎😒😒😒

There are mods that allow you to interact with the world and your inventory. There is 'Ring of the Hunt' that allows health Regen in battle. And out of it.

The Serana Dialogue Add-on does a good job at it. You can take you time if you choose to pursue the romance, by denying her advances in the Ancestor Glade when she's having her breakdown. It's not a bad idea to marry Serana. She has a trauma she needs to overcome. By not having an official temple cerimony and letting you tell Serana to focus and make sure this is what she wants, I think the mod addressed this issue well. Not to mention the fact Serana does have flirtaceous comments with you if you choose your dialogue options correctly in vanilla. I only triggered the "I guess you'll never get to find out" once, and I've no idea how. But I managed to get the "Me too" when choosing the "Then I'm glad you're the one doing it" before entering the Soul Cairn. She does want something with the Dragonborn but she is stuck to her trauma. Thankfully SDA has some tact in handling the matter. Not only that, but when you fight Harkon, you have the option of saying "I would never hurt Serana, she's special." and his response implies you two are an item.

I’m 52 and I recently went back to Skyrim with mods on my Series X and I’m loving it. It’s one of my all time favourite games. I still remember back when it first released in 2011. Queued up at the midnight opening back in my home town.

This analysis fails to discuss trade after a stormcloak win. Skyrim is crippled because of heavy taxation, they are demoralised because their people are being opressed and tyranised which lowers consumer trust (I can't remember the exact word here so bear with me ;) ) The empire is currently too weak to defend skyrim given most of their countries seceeded. It's sucking Skyrim dry of resources while giving nothing in return. The empire is dying, and when you are weak you can't assert your dominance and ownership as an empire. regrouping instead of spreading thin will result in a stronger empire. The only hope the empire has, is if the Dragonborn joins it, otherwise the Empire is doomed to fail. Going forward, allying with Hammerfell, highrock and Cyrodil is the way to go.

I wouldn't force her into marriedge but at least I would ask her for it see what she think. And if she would agree she is not my slave or my property I would let her do what she please and be free. And if she want to live as human then she can have a normal life. Dragonborn might be powerful but he techn also just a man. Maybe not totally normal and even Serana is a human she is far from normal. But at least Dragonborn can give her a path she can choose to make her own chooses. Just imagine they are married, she can come to Dragonborn home knock and then they take off running for more fun adventures. They can still be married and still do whatever they pleases. And I love even they not married they say we be like a family anyway. A strong friendship a powerful companion fo the Dragonborn and a true friend. We are something special that she not had for a long time a friend. She us Dragonborn and perhaps one day her heart will have a second thought.

What's the point of gaining freedom from vampirism and her parents' manipulation if she will live afraid and isolating herself? That's not freedom, she just changed her iron chains for gold chains, instead of really breaking them, and that's the whole point of her relationship with the Dragonborn, because she finally breaks the chains that enslaved her by doing the only thing she couldn't do in her life before isolation: decide for herself. That's why you get the dialogue to suggest her to cure her vampirism, and that's why you can choose between the Dawnguard or the Volkihar because you're giving her either the oportunity to redeem herself or follow her current path for herself and not because of her parents. She also deserves to be happy with a new family, and forget if you want to marry her or not, you are the reason why she's happy again in a life full of darkness, you are her light now.

Well, she's an NPC, she's not a real person. You can argue just as easily that the original devs "forced" her to NOT want a romantic relationship, and the mods are correcting that flaw in her character. Bethesda RPGs are routinely enhanced by the modding community. Framing is as players "forcing her" and "against her free will" is super loaded. She has no free will, she has programming. Modding her character makes her "Freely" choose to get into a relationship with the player...problem solved.

Nothing tops the vigilant. The lore, the music, the atmosphere, the story, new gears, new animations. Vigilante is the best mod ever created.

Skyrim is just a game you dont sell no matter what you keep eventually youll miss it and dive right back in.

In my playthrough i just see it as you never actually settle down. Since she doesn't seem to like marriage I just see it as something that would happen way later down the road, like the future after quite literally everything is done. Like an actual relationship persay rather than these quite instantaneous relationships and marriages. Something that would eventually happen after I quit playing the playthrough.

This is pure nonsense and none of the arguments for not getting married to her are good. This is NOT about forcing her to get married to you and you talking about her getting married to you is like putting the shackles on her and her losing her freedom is UTTER nonsense and clearly shows a total lack of understanding and knowledge about how a good/great marriage can be. And there are other nonsense said that also clearly shows total lack of knowledge and experience in how a good/great marriage can be. And why can't a person/character that has a free will and independent spirit get married? Would it not be good for a person to get healed in a marriage with a person that loves and cares for her/him? And you talking about forcing Serana to get married to you is wrong, are you not also claiming that you are forcing any of the marriage options in the game to get married to you at the same time since you are using the amulet to get married to them? So, you are according to your own flawed arguments in reality claiming that getting married in the game is morally wrong, no matter who you are getting married to. Your only real argument is that you want to be totally true to the game and don't want to change anything. If that is the case, then play the original game with no mods at all and enjoy it as it is. The moment you play it with one single mod, then that argument has zero value as well, no matter what mod you install. Be a total purist of the game and I will respect that, but the second you install a mod, any argument against getting married to Serana is totally worthless.
