As someone with far more experience with regurgitation than I would prefer, I do not recommend doing it underwater. Because while you are evacuating your stomach, you are also forcing air out of your lungs. So one of the first things you do after each convulsion is a you inhale. Which if you do that while underwater, tends to not work out well for you.
