Army Of Darkness is part motorcycle racing team, and part bike loving motorsports social collective. Endurance racing in the United States since 1993, AOD has won 19 national championships, so far. Along the way Team Captain Sam Fleming became the Wild Card Editor for Roadracing Magazine. That editorial position has allowed Sam to experience race tracks all around the world as well as learn the intricacies of motorcycle design from a Vincent Black Shadow to a race kitted Yamaha R1.

Wow that is fast Peace out
So informative, where can i go of I wanted to get certified for motorcycle engine rebuilds
Ok. Its a kids bike. Im glad this video cleared it up on making a decisions of what kind a bike id want.
This is one of the best reviews I've seen in the past week, and I've been watching countless hours of review. I dont understand why it has so few views and likes. I just bought a ZX6R this past weekend, and im so full of joy. Thanks for the review.
Congratulations on the new bike and thanks for taking the time to write the kind feedback.
Man, that's a job where nobody likes you unless they're winning. Great interview, Sam!
Hey! Thanks Scott! Make sure you flag Sam down and introduce yourself if you ever see him at a race! Also, be sure to read the Hooligans cover story in the print Roadracing World this month. He put a lot of work into that article.

@@armyofdarknessmotorcyclesb2883 I just finished his Alpha BMW story today. He's a great writer.
Very exciting! I really enjoy the Kramer guys. :) How big is this physically compared to a 125GP bike?
More like a 250 / Moto3 bike
This is awesome. Good job, Kramer.
Could you make me one?
22k.!!! Are you on drugs??? For a boys motorcycle?
For Cup racing its spot on. I think you nailed it. For trackday consumers, theyre going to say its 10k too much.
Because it is. I understand why it is, but I hope there are enough potential customers walking around looking for a machine like that, willing to spend that money. I'm sure it's incredibly fun, and easier/safer to find the edge on than a big hairy brute. Godspeed.
22.5 and ya cant tell me how many hours or est.miles wow.
I have talented kids (not mine, ft ers) How much. Or go to krammer usa ?
Ok Kramer usa

Thanks for posting. A ktm smr 450 with tc and a quick shifter, 240 lbs $13,500.00. I really don't understand this bike. The nice guy in the black shirt told me this should be someone's 3rd or 4th bike......I really don't see how that is going to work, a 18 year old on a 350 single...? I really wish them the best. Dave
This Bike will be a game changer for MotoAmerica. Looks like a awesome platform.
Ah! Two stroke! That would be great!
Another insight into roadracing in America. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
And this is why we're building three Hooligans now.
Ha ancora i cavi accelleratore , e senza blipper nel 2024🤦🤦🤦🤦
Yeah, and now the Ducati V2 streetfighter is allowed, and the class is no longer reasonable. Why have this kind of inflation?
You can't compare the cost of a V2 streetfighter to some dude out there on a 2003 SV1000. The cost of a competitive FTR1200 or a Pan American is huge.
V2, like the Pan American, is going to be performance balanced. We'll have another video soon with an interview with Tige Daane on the theory and process of performance balancing.
@@armyofdarknessmotorcyclesb2883 yeah and another six grand piece of electronics to do that. You took the affordable class and made it an expensive class. There’s just gonna be nothing left for entry-level folks.
I thought I saw Sam on the pit wall at COTA. Super cool to hear Roland talk about the class. We could build the KTMs below 350lbs if allowed to. At 375 we're still adding lead weight, using lead-acid batteries, ABS units in place, full street wiring harnesses, etc.

Rotax powered Aircooled Dominator.... 🤔🏁
I ran into him at the track at Laguna... Spoke with him a minute and thanked him for his time... He's a very busy guy!! Great dude always- helping grow our sport. 👍
The idea or concept for this interview is good, but better interviewing skills could have facilitated a much better and smoother flow of conversation and made the whole thing much more interesting.
Doing single take interviews, while jet lagged, is the worst part of the job. Actually no, delayed flights are the worst part of the job. ;)
totally agree.
Excellent soundtrack!
Very through review. You've paid attention to details many other reviewers didn't
That's what four decades of motorcycling gets you... :)
What a great dissertation on the rebuild.. I really enjoyed your insight and knowledge .. My 2015 R1 now has my undivided attention
Glad it helped
I've put 26,000kms on on 2020 Husky 701 exclusively using SM EVO's and the bike lives on the edge of the tyre. Looking forward to trying the SM2.
Another good one,Sam. I like your writing style also.
Hey! Thanks for taking the time to write and thanks for watching, and reading!
Great interview!
Sam did mess up when Jayson was talking about swingarm pivot position (in the frame) but Sam was messing with the camera and thought he was talking about ride height (at the shock). That's the downside of trying to be an interviewer and camera man simultaneously!
Good job, Sam. I've been racing my Evo2R for three seasons now. It is a very easy bike to go fast on, work on, tune, and repair. Parts and knowledge are readily available in the US. The geometry can be made ideal for just about any rider. I took my bike to Computrack Atlanta last winter. Kent seemed disturbed initially when I said I had no handling issues but once he measured it, he said it was right where it should be, so we made no changes.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the TM Racing Factory tour. I appreciate a lot. - I started with Fantic early in the 80s and ended up with a TM 250 2 stroke dirt bike, mod 2001, I think. Never regret. Hope my sons will restore the bike. I think the bike had 70 HP and out raced many similar dirt bikes.... Regards Kenneth the Norseman.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Need you guy to overall one of this crossplan engine in Jamaica
If that 690 naked was road registered I would buy it.
Congratulation! Very nice documentary 👍🏻
Great inside from an awesome venture!
When will you see these in the USA?
getting mine tomorrow, check your dealer and cyclegear has them too. the EVOs have been cycled out 🤙
Ok please hurry up and give us part 2!! 😂😂😂 Great job BTW!
Part 2 is up!
Does this have auto blippers?
Not for downshifts because it doesn't have electronic throttle valves.
@@armyofdarknessmotorcyclesb2883 thanks for the info
Nice work! When the Part 2?
Soon, if the creek don't rise. In the meantime, watch this one: th-cam.com/video/vAzygBT3tm8/w-d-xo.html
It's up!
Very cool!
Thanks! It always such an honor to get to talk to experts in the field who are doing such innovative work.
Great tour, I am fascinated with Kramer!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent, Sam. I was one of those "Old school " machinists, I felt like it was more rewarding ( not in pay) than trying to stay awake while watching a CNC do its work. I'm now a Vintage Machinist (retired).
Rebuilding my 14b gearbox currently as cant change from 3rd to 4th under load, most likely bent shift fork. To be fair, 6 years of hard hard street riding, almost always on the upper end of the rpm, surprised it lasted this long and its such a small failure. But i have a question for you guys.. since i have engine apart again (2nd engine rebuild first time blew bottom bearings). I have a complete spare engine as i bought another engine when i blew the bearings.. so i have the time right now for some "correcting". Do you guys have any suggestions on what i should be on the lookout to improve and or modify? I don't want race performance, but i do want a little more oomph out of her, so im thinking already to send head off to be cut and ground for better airflow. I don't want to buy cams or such, but just looking to get a bit more power whilst the engine is apart?
Thanks for the Conti SM2 tire review, love the historical background too. Makes me wanna go use up the last gen Conti SM evo’s on my 690smc-r asap And PS, I Really appreciated your Italian TM Factory tour series, will be referencing that fine work and insight when I have Iconic motorbikes put all my practically new track bikes up for sale, a newer KTech’d Yamaha R3, TM 450smx sumo and Kramer 690 evo2 S up on their site. (Shameless plug just in case you could know anyone who could use one of them;)
Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words and taking the time to write. These videos are a labor of love to go with the magazine articles so its nice to hear you are enjoying them. In a couple weeks we'll have, at least the first part, of the Kramer Factory Tour!
@@armyofdarknessmotorcyclesb2883 Fantastic! Look forward to seeing and enjoying it. I met Markus and Joe at Barber about ‘17 as I tried my hand at mid-life crisis AHRMA racing after too many years having Chris haul me around AAA speedway at those RR World Action fundraisers and devouring all the various training camps on offer. Nice to have gotten a chance to get to know John and some of the local racers and fellow enthusiast/hangers on like myself ;)
They are VERY fast bikes!! anyone want to purchase mine??
