Supersport back in the good ole days was not equal, you could see DuHamels Smoking Joe Honda just abuse the non factory bikes down the straights. Then the whole claim rule, which’s supposedly allowed you to claim a factory part of a winning bike, that somehow got damaged when it was removed, so damaged in fact it was destroyed. Oh and the factories allowing private teams to buy kit parts (per AMA Rules), that were always back ordered.

I had no idea they were doing a combined rider and bike weight. Without Hayes I’ve lost all interest in Sportbike racing.
