Hi, welcome to Tigersandcats Cubing. If you want to improve at pyraminx, know which non-WCA puzzle to buy, watch some timelapses of massive cube solves, or even want to watch some cubing based rants, this is the place for you. I try to do a bit of everything on my channel.
I have been cubing on and off for 5 years and am sub-2 at pyraminx. I held the UK national record for pyraminx single (1.17), and have an official average of 1.80, which ranked me 12th in the world at the time.

(DNF), 3.15, 2.17, 2.07, 2.27 = 2.53 2nd Place at UK Championship 2023 DNF was because the timer stopped before the solve did. Mixed feelings about this one. I'll write everything here, you can read if you care. In the first round of the comp, I got a DNF first solve for the same reason as in the final. This made the first round really nerve-wracking but the last 4 solves were solid safety solv...

i have a question, is it really that important learning full l4e, since intuitive l4e is the same thing and i already average around 3-4 seconds with intuitive l4e
@@skansky__ Depends how fast you want to get. Intuitive L4E is definitely not the same thing but until you start one looking or learning more advanced algorithms it basically serves the same function. But if you want to improve to be averaging low 2 or even sub 2 I'd say it is quite important to learn full L4E
There are worst puzzles out there.L with th poor quality turning or lacking replay value. Rediminx and Mixup Skewb 3 are still ok but as with most non-wca puzzles, you won’t solve it quite as often. Just figuring best ways to solve last steps or optimise some steps.
Thanks for making this video!! It helped a lot with my v solutions.
Do you know how many possivle V cases there are? (not including mirrors)
I found everything except 2 scramble. By the way it is a very good drill for V practice. Good video bro
not me thinking of using this for clock
To anyone, who already have a bell v1/v2 I say the tips of the ylm are far better than the bell v2, but not as good as the v1 The turning feels between the both, the corner cutting its pretty good If you lock up with the v2 you can change to the ylm if you currently main the v1, id recommend it if you want a lighter magnet strength
they're only 30 bucks if you use a discount code
oh yeah lol I forgot about that
Are those ylms uv coated?
Nah it just looks that way on the camera
heyy, good vid! what's ur pyra?
I use the yuxin little magic
@@tigersandcats cool, thank you! started to follow ur vids of l4e, it's really helpful, tysm!
the interesting thing is that you will not understand until you do it yourself
Gan 2 should be fast but its ruined by cube. Its made it sooooo slow. Awful!
I learned L4E too early, I wished I had seen this video earlier
This should help me get a sub 2 officially average this or next year. Thanks 🙏
pretty gud video but a problem for me is 2 sided recognition
Where is the website?
description
Is that ML4e?
Yeah
is there a alg trainer i can use for this
If you to go cstimer, put 2x2 on the left bar at the top, then EG0 on the right it will give you just cll scrambes. Also if you search cll alg trainer there's loads of websites that also have that functionality
@@tigersandcats thanks
My favourite is gan lube 1. It comprises smoothness with a balance of speed and control. The lube also brings a bit of a muffled feeling which is like
I specialize in getting below average times all around
i cant get compund 5/v
(not very) recently
Does lubest pro leave residue in the cube?
Absolutely and perfectly what I was looking for! 🥰 Brief, concise and thorough. Contains exactly the algs I use/like, including good recognition tips and finger tricks. On top of that: Excellent video and audio quality, perfect pace to follow, no ads, no clickbait, and it's the first one I've looked at from the search results, which is usually not the one where I think I don't need to look any further (but this one definitely is). So, thank you very much on so many levels! 🤗
música horrible y espantosa
Pls do a solve with a timer so that it is available for uwr.
Bro the mixture doesn't come out the same as yours, do you make the mixtures on another side that is not the green one?
A question, do you use ML4E to not do rotations?
I would get GAN Lube No.2 since i love fast fast cubes. But with a gummy feeling
How many moves should the average v take, and how much should the max move count be? Roughly how long should tips take to solve?
Average optimal v count is 3.57, so basically get as close to that as possible. If you're doing tips all at the start you should be able to get them done in less than a second, and if you're doing them throughout the solve then it's pretty difficult to actually tell how long they took, but it's just getting it as fast as possible.
@@tigersandcats thanks
thanks a lot, man. The trick is really amazing. My ao5 in wca is 3.78, it's still helpful. I hope I can use these methods later to get a sub3!
❤
please continue this series
Realy good video!
your sounds like my pyramex spring

thx
For place with only one or two comps per year being all rounder is nearly a must. At least specialize in one event and get all other to a decent level for the cut off.
Well, I am sub 4 with Beginner's...
just have one question: was your hand dirty or is it just the lighting?
It was the lighting lol
@@tigersandcats i figured. Btw you helped me so much with this video! It's direct
Nice Avg .Do you think it is possible to get sub 3 on Pyra with 3 Tps but good V Solutions
That would require you to average under 9 moves a solve so no that's not really possible. Over 3 tps is really not that hard
OMG its so HARD to open!
You should do more of these
Was it at Hampshire winter?
Yeah it was
me learning this during my round
What lube should i use for moyu meilong 3c and Moyu Rs3m V5 Ballcore Maglev UV?
2 months late but I just use Gan lube 2 as I prioritize speed with little control
Should i get the qiyi ms or the rs pyraminx? I am deciding for a comp
Thank you very much Now I can solve pyraminx in 2 seconds😊
Do you recommend doing all tips ok pickup?
Yeah for most people that's the best way
Wolves?
