    Hi I started watching your vids a few days ago. Your content is mind blowing. I don’t understand why you haven’t got more subscribers!

    hadnt actually considered that doing more than one b move wouldnt be worth it, id assumed 2 could be okay. never really gave it any thought and just did whatever in my solutions so this was very helpful!

    1: Is it better to try to find a blockbuilding way to make the V in every solve or is it better (if no easy V can be found) to take a more LBL approach to make the V.
    2: How do you make sure you aren't doing a specific V color over others for a majority of solves.

    Great video! I have a comp in 2 weeks and I recently started trying to improve at pyraminx (only about 300 solves so far). About a year ago, when I got my first pyra, I learned LBL and quickly learned intuitive L4e. I’ve forgotten about half of the algs now, but I’m wondering if I should just drop the intuitive part. It seems like it’s easier to just insert one more edge into the bottom and only do 1 of 5 cases than try to solve whichever edge is already there into to top. I average about 9s right now. What do you think?

      L4E is better than layer by layer. Because you use layer by layer right now it will seem easier to do that, and if you learn L4E there will be a period of time where you are actually slower with L4E than you were with layer by layer because you are not used to it yet. However, with time, you will become faster with L4E than you ever could be with layer by layer. I never learnt L4E intuitively, I just learned the algorithms, and I think that's the best way to do it. If you feel like you can quickly learn algorithms, then I would try to learn and get good at L4E before the competition. If you can't put a lot of time into pyraminx though, it might be better to just be safe and leave learning L4E until after the competition. Just depends on what you feel you can do in the time you have.

      @@tigersandcats Thanks for the response! I’m also trying to improve at 3x3 so I can get a sub 15 average, so I probably won’t have time to learn all of the algs. I’ll just drill my algs and layers for now.

    How many moves should the average v take, and how much should the max move count be? Roughly how long should tips take to solve?

    • @tigersandcats
      @tigersandcats  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Average optimal v count is 3.57, so basically get as close to that as possible. If you're doing tips all at the start you should be able to get them done in less than a second, and if you're doing them throughout the solve then it's pretty difficult to actually tell how long they took, but it's just getting it as fast as possible.

    Do you recomend cubezz?

    • @tigersandcats
      @tigersandcats  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I definitely recommend cubezz, as you can get cubes there for a lot cheaper than elsewhere. The only thing to consider is that the shipping takes a long time. If you are looking to buy from cubezz, I'd also check ZiiCube to see which one your order is cheaper on, as ZiiCube has cheaper prices than cubezz but cubezz has free shipping, so either one can be cheaper depending on what you buy and where you ship to.
