Flowers and Gardening are my passion. I’m hoping that I can share with you what I am learning and help you avoid the mistakes I have made. I’m trying to keep it real, and offer information that is applicable to anyone! My first plant I bought died because I didn’t realize that annuals died in the winter haha. I’ve come along way and even completed my Mater Gardener Certification. Thanks for joining me on my journey. My yard still has a long ways to go 👍🏻 and the transformation is so much fun.

Beautiful!
That’s pretty cool that you can water your plants from the river right next door. 🚿
So cool! I LOVE the river. I’m so lucky.
Hi! I recently found you channel and it’s been fun to watch your videos! I live in Northern Utah too and you’ve given me some great ideas. Do you happen to know the variety name of your geum? I love that color combo!
I’m pretty sure it’s forever red! Not one hundred percent. There are so many red Heuchera’s out there any of them would look good.
It's going to look so good when it fills in. I hope you uodate us when you out the pavers in.
I will. Thanks! I can’t wait for the pavers and Irish moss. It will be magical
OMG lady get to the point women holy crap
You’re welcome for my free time. Oh my gosh practice patience.
I bet you’re going to enjoy this tip.
@@FlowerFanatic I will lol
Where did you buy the tree ? If you don’t mind me asking. Currently searching for one too
My local nursery.
Can you transplant a lilac from the ground to a pot?
Yes if it’s newly established. I would do it in early spring .
How many times do they flower and does each plant have only one flower stauk?
They flower once. They get multiple blooms with time. And they naturalize
What about when you mow the grass, will it kill the mantis? I have grass hopper swarms in my yard Denver. Dont want to use chemicals
I don’t know about that. Sorry! I actually haven’t seen my praying mantis stay around.
Great video. Thank you .
Glad you liked it!
How often should you water after initial planing? Daily for a couple weeks? Thanks for the great video...
Twice a week
That would be good. Check the soil. Make sure you’re not drowning them though.
This video is a godsend because I have the same issue with periwinkle and it is starting to invade my neighbors yard! I was told to HAND PULL!! That is impossible. glad I found this video.
Glad it helped!
Your penstemon looks spectacular, you have magic thumbs! I just brought home my Red Riding Hood today in 4" pot and NO flower yet (still a baby from local nursery). Will plant it soon, I hope it will be as gorgeous as yours 🌺
It will. They take off fast
Put a 6" saw blade on your weedwhacker. Sounds dumb, but is safe if you're not, and highly effective at removing things normal cord cannot.
Thanks for the tip
Thank you for your video, I’m having the very same issue!! !I just don’t see any slimy residue on them, I think it’s ??? We don’t have grasshoppers, not sure about earwigs? What ever it is they are destroying my dahlias and eating my hydrangeas
Aah!
😊
“I’m a project girl” your daughter did more work on this project😂
Was that intended to be rude?
If so please leave that comment to yourself. I would appreciate that.
I just got a Japanese Cherry Blossom and it’s no more than maybe 18” high and a sapling. Should I keep it inside in a large pot until it’s bigger?
No you can have it in the ground or container we. Whatever you prefer
Can you sell some to me? All our grasshoppers are gone and my cat loved catching them? I'm in Toronto
I love so many things in that bed. Do the deer bother your tri color beech? Or your yew that your growing into a hedge?
They haven’t touched mine, but In really heavy deer country when they are starving they have eaten yew. But they recover. Overall they tend to avoid the yew over here. I haven’t seen them eat a tri color yet 👍
Beautiful flowerbed, Its the bees knees.
Thanks! Haha
This was a suggested video in my stream. Just beautiful! I was in 6b but it says 7a now.
Thanks! I do the videos to share the beauty to enjoy with other gardeners, so I’m glad you found joy in flowers from this video.
Doesn’t this take 5yr to begin blooming?
It can take awhile. Climates are different and often they have a mind of there own, but in my climate it takes around 4-5. It takes patience, but the foliage is nice. It’s a slow grower in the beginning
Beautiful flowerbed, Its the bees knees.
Thanks! Haha
Wow. Everything looks so good! Your yard has really come along so much since I first started following you.
It has…thanks for the reminder. It’s been a process, but that’s the fun part.
I gotta ask do the bottom blooms stay beautifully frilly while the top ones grow mine looks like the ones you showed as an example as it just started to bloom but the blooms are tiny I’m not sure how it’ll shoot up to look this tall and grill + more blooms how is that possible 😮
It’s crazy. Mine started out small to and over time turned into these. I was so surprised!
Those roses look fabulous.
Thanks! They are so pretty, they don’t seem real. Dave austin roses are incredible.
Just looking for some good options. Thanks for the advice.
No problem 👍
I have some other good options too. I’m thinking about doing another video. I have learned so much since this last video
I bet your 80 year old neighbour didn't advertise his shoes when explaining what to do
There’s a lot of critics on TH-cam.
You’re welcome for the tip.
Are some of these invasive in the Northeast? Thanks!
I like this tree
It’s a cool One!
It's pronounced jee-umm.
Good to know
I love this! What kind of fertiliser did you give ? I grew stock flowers this year and mine look a little bit like dry buds and so small I’m wondering how they’ll turn so big like that!
I have a video coming soon…the buds look tiny at first. I use fish emulsion and seaweed extract in a backpack sprayer. I dilute it a bit, and just saturate the plants.
I scattered a bunch of red spike seeds in one of my raised beds and I have some seedlings that look like they could be red spike or could be some type of weed. My amaranth are green though, is that normal to start? When do they usually turn red?
My red amaranth usually come out red. I’m not sure what could be going on. Are yours the red spike amaranth variety? Or a different one?
Mine have all turned yellow and brown and died down and its june 🥲 they do not last long here
They fizzle fast with the heat! So are mine.
They do last a long time in a vase though.
The tulips are going to sprout whiskers!
Haha!
👏How much lime should I add to the size pot that you planted the Bloomerang in?
I would just sprinkle a small hand full.
And water it in.
GET TO THE POINT, lady. BLAH BLAH AND MORE BLAH until @4:58
Good job not messing around and going at it with the right stuff (Glyphosate). I'm learning more and more for perennial weeds the time to spray is late summer/early fall cuz they suck up energy into their root systems for winter. Annual weeds - Spring. After my sweet woodruff digging - I'll be hitting any resprouting. God I wish I never planted that. 1-3 plants turned into hell. Next up is Vinca Minor coming over from my neighbor. Still formulating a plan for it. Invading my native woodland.
Oh man! Invasive stuff can be such a pain. It requires diligence. I’ve regretted planting certain ground covers too! Hard lesson to learn.
Do deer stay away from Wavy Leaf Ligustrums, Gardenias or Wax Myrtles? I’m thinking I might need to do Laurels for hedges but I would like a beautiful flowering option!
Love the combo of heuchera & geum! Need to get my hands on that apricot colour, I have red geum at the moment but that one you have is stunning. And I wish I could plant black mondo grass but my zone probably won’t work for that beauty. Thanks for sharing 👩🏽🌾🌼
Hello. Thanks. I hope all is well
11:46 Hmm begonia looks a bit similar to geranium
great content, thank you!
14:35 wow, sounds impressive
A client just divided her peach geum and gave me a hunk. So pretty and they make great cut flowers.
I didn’t know about the cutting. Thanks
Thanks for the video! I just got a 'Little Kim' lilac and will try it in a container in a location that only gets maybe 5-6 hours sun and then afternoon shade. I'm wondering if they like a neutral Ph around 7 or more alkaline than that?
Wow superb ... #HariKrishnaSahu
How can i get seeds of peoniey please
❤
Be great if you summarized at the end with the names of the plants or use the name of the plant more often-I had to go back and start the video a couple of times to get the name
Okay 👍 thanks for the constructive criticism without being rude.
I love how you talk about dividing plants. I’ve divided lots because of your videos. I’m starting fresh with a lot of my beds and it’s so encouraging to be able to spread things further. Once they start filling in it’s extra rewarding!!
