Help me understand what wire you ran to the wires in the dash/firewall?

I wish Yamaha would bring back the XT 350 it has a 6 speed transmission close to 180 mile range with the fuel tank weighs 262# it is a great all around bike for commuting to work or overland riding ( which I do) it is a pack mule can load up plenty of gear on board in order to cross very remote areas. Reliability is second to none with the XT 350.

So do you have to hook up to the battery the aux switches are only fuses and relays no power running too them right ? I’m using a diffrent harness

Does it void warranty to add roof rails after installation? I didnt include it and really regretting it.

Thanks for the video. A couple of notes. KTM used to have separate engine and transmission oil reservoirs on older 530s. It was the worst design since having a lot les engine oil made us really nervous on long rides. On 500 they went back to the more trusted single (larger reservoir). On the second note about the screen on the KTM it is a spark arrester so to make it safe for riding in dry forest and desert area.

Do the tidy tail on the back and get the barkbuster turn signals. Also maybe a bigger tank would help with the gas light coming on so soon.

I have a 2015 Rapide S that is my daily. Perfect year-round car, but especially as a winter car. No issues so far after 1 year and 4K miles. I am dreaming about adding Vanquish to my stable as summer car. Maybe when the kids get a little older. Don't ever sell this car! And do the compare vs. 296!

I have had Hyundai's and Toyotas. I have never had any problems at 50 thousand miles. In fact I have never had any problems other than having the breaks replaced and a new battery after 100 thousand miles. Porsche should have fewer model changes and make a quality car. How many years have they been doing this?

Nice to know that is the extent of the issues. Several M cars, a Ferrari, and an R type Jaguar compared to your issues. You have not had any real issues. Add MB and Audi to the mix. They all love to go to the shop for all kinds of serious problems. You have help me to confirm I am definitely buying a 2018 Vanquish. Thank you.

That's a great looking and functional cap, and I love the Raptor. Any idea how that specific cap compares to the RSI Smartcap? I appreciated your point about being able to so easily clean the glass between the cab and cap with this one, don't know if that is possible with the RSI.

I have owned this same model for a few years and a few thousand miles ,and can recommend it. BUT! The hardware bolts suck ,and the anti rattle plate sucks. I replaced both with quality parts.

Totally agree with you about indicators and how far the rear guard hangs down. Seems to be a common thing with all these bikes (KTM, husky etc), so ugly. On the plus side if thats the only crappy things you can come up it shows the bike is pretty good overall. Thanks for the video, from a prospective Beta buyer.

It’s worth checking if you have a soft close mechanism on that boot lid, if so many brands don’t like to be closed firmly, allowing it to self latch will possibly prevent it from reoccurring. I am not saying it’s you, just the nature of their design.

Make a wedge out of a 4x6 about 2 or 3 foot long so the short ramp is easier to work with.

Do you find that the camper shell moves a lot or gets displaced when off roading with your Raptor or does it stay in place pretty well?

Is there much engine vibration at highway speeds on the Beta? I read the KTMs vibrate a lot. I had a 450L and it was not that bad.

The rear fairings on my old ride flared a bit and made it easy to get a good hold when squeezing with my boots. Not so much on the 2021 RRS. I installed a set of Steg Pegz, and they are glorious for hill climbs

hey brother! i just got my first pickup and was looking to put a cap on it. any suggestions on brand as far as what you think was the best you've seen and what made you choose yours? also i think you could remove that thick mattress for an air mattress called mountain engineering jet stream foam and it's about an inch thick or less. you unscrew brass fittings to let air flow in and then tighten to seal it and keep mattress firm and comfy. you can use the reverse process to roll it up for carrying and storage. great for camping and super lightweight and cheap too. that will free up some headroom. have you ever seen the inside of a diesel engine just after one year...the soot buildup in these new turbo diesels is incredible. A lot of maintenance on the diesels and possible failures on the road. i think the raptor is definitely more for rocks and speed but a super duty truck, gasoline engine, the transmission is built for hauling and towing so you will definitely have plenty of power and clean power. throw on some highway tires too because with 4 wheel and diff lock you can really go just about anywhere off road too. the rugged off-road tires are very much about the look for most unless you're doing some serious mud, rock and snow climbs. you should get better fuel mileage and much more comfortable ride on the roads. even a all-terrain should prove well in any situation. i like continentals over all but brigstones are the best for snow handling. also keep in mind the super duties now in some states are considered commercial vehicles so check that out before purchasing or reregister as private, thats the loophole ;)
