Nice to know that is the extent of the issues. Several M cars, a Ferrari, and an R type Jaguar compared to your issues. You have not had any real issues. Add MB and Audi to the mix. They all love to go to the shop for all kinds of serious problems. You have help me to confirm I am definitely buying a 2018 Vanquish. Thank you.
Wow, this is afaik the only ownership vido of a Vanquish, thank you Michael! Do you still have the car, any other issues occured in the meantime? Thinking about buying a Vanquish S, hope the front splitter isn´t even lower...
I do still have the car, and I do not have any other issues to report. It has been a pleasure! Definitely a low splitter, and I am surprised that they did not offer a front axle lift. Additionally, I have a 296 GTB on the way!
I’ll try to post any updates I have with the car because there isn’t a whole lot especially on the vanquish. Let me know if you have any questions and good luck with the car! You’ll love it
It’s worth checking if you have a soft close mechanism on that boot lid, if so many brands don’t like to be closed firmly, allowing it to self latch will possibly prevent it from reoccurring. I am not saying it’s you, just the nature of their design.
I have a 2015 Rapide S that is my daily. Perfect year-round car, but especially as a winter car. No issues so far after 1 year and 4K miles. I am dreaming about adding Vanquish to my stable as summer car. Maybe when the kids get a little older. Don't ever sell this car! And do the compare vs. 296!
I'm thinking of buying a Vanquish... A lot of people told me the hood feels GIGANTIC when driving the car so visibility to the front is rather bad. Does the car feel big and difficult to maneuver???
Michael - Thanks for sharing! I have the same 2018 Vanquish S Volante. Any mechanical issues of note? My 3 yr warranty is up in 1 month and I'm debating the extended warranty which is a bit insane at $11K for 2yrs. Not too much data on issue with the 2018 Vanquish so I appreciate you sharing. My only issue has been the battery which had to be replaced.
I still have not had any other issues! I know Aston does not have the best reputation for reliability but everyone that I know with an Aston has not had any big issues. It’s seems that if you take care of it and perform normal maintenance then it should be reasonably reliable. With that being said, if you get the extended warranty then you will have peace of mind to beat it up a little and probably put more miles on it. It’s a tough decision.
The vanquish is very low and doesn’t have any option for a front axle lift so you definitely have to be careful with it. It really all depends on the approach angle. Once you own it you will get a feel for what it can and cannot handle. If the underground parking is pretty steep then it probably won’t clear it.
@@mikey201292 Bridge of Weir leather, very soft. Any car that has that leather on the dash and is exposed to hot/sunny climate is susceptible to it. I used Auto Glym on mine which Aston recommends.
I found whenever I drive my exotics people ask me what I do for a living because they want to see if it’s something they can do themselves. Just know there is no one size shoe fits all when it comes to careers that land you An exotic car and buying an exotic car isn’t exactly a realistic goal.
@@someguy1907 Jeez thanks for the words of encouragement dude = / I was just curious thats all. U must be doing something right so keep doing what you're doing.
To make a long story short, I am involved in real estate. I got my real estate license when I was 18 and then began taking college courses at night. That way I could work during the day and work toward my degree at night. I ended up with a finance degree and am now in law school. I have alway been involved with buying/selling real estate, developing real state, and other types of investing.
I think its great to be curious and ask questions! I love that guy Daniel Mac on instagram who asks everyone what they do for a living. It is just interesting to see how people make money even if it is not the best particular way for everyone. Additionally, I disagree that buying an exotic is not a realistic goal if you are dedicated.

@@mikey201292 Thanks for your feedback Michael! 296 GTB looks great, hope you will do an unboxing video ;)
Thanks for doing this Michael! Going to see a 2016 vanquish tmrw and there's not much content on ownership experiences

I definitely don’t think so. The f12 and sls do feel like they have massive hood (which they do) but the vanquish is much better in my opinion.

Also can the Vanquish do underground parking without scraping the front splitter?
Thanks!

@@mikey201292 Many thanks.
You have to treat that leather and keep it moisturized, especially in hot climates. I treated mine every 6 mos.
Thank you so much for the tip. I’ve never had this issue on a variety of exotic cars. It must just be the certain leather that Aston Martin uses.
