This adit is advised extremely dangerous, and the forecast has to be taken into account as the water level can rise leaving you stuck inside. The adit runs for over 1.5 miles intersecting several old workings. I hop...

@@rexmasters1541 I’ve got no explanation. Certainly abit odd
Nice little mine that one, shame it doesn't go further. I have seen the water level a lot higher than that, a few feet from the top in fact. Merry Christmas!
@@CornishMineExplorer merry Christmas as well, usually as you know the water lever can be a lot higher especially this time of year… but it’s a dry winter so far. I’ve had it boot deep before on that tramming level. Lots to see in there. Hope your well 👍🏼

The survey points were a datum using two points of survey with a washer at bottom of line which you eyed and lined up to give datum and line which you then offset with measures given by surveyor for side walls . back and footwall.

If you continue further up that little tunnel you come out in the upper level and can do a through trip leaving from the upper adit! It's a great little mine 😁

Wondering would the frogs natural habitat be where you found them inside? Also do you know the youtube channel 'Lost Mines'? You could meet up.
@@carysw8967 I’ve messaged the guys over at lost mines, but I doubt they would want to meet up. Would be good to see one of the ones in wales. And I did wonder about the frogs after, at the time it made sense to drop them where they can get some food. But they were left near the entrance to the mine so they could always head back inside.
What minerals were they mining and that incline looked amazing
@@timwright8785 this was mostly mined for tin and small other minerals were found but nothing of great profit
You could be the last human to set foot in that part of the mine where the rock was delaminating. Impressive great video pard
Super sketchy place. It’s a ticking time bomb thanks mate

where is this tunel ....truro redruth camborne ... ?
No it's East Cornwall
Hearing how much just your voice resonates in there, imagine how loud it must have been when the tunnel was worked and then the explosions!! Crazy loud.
I did this one on my own.. On mushrooms.. Wicked time.. The water was soo clear...
@@stuartpillar7117 I did mine on a cup tea and a toasted cheese and ham sandwich. Water was also clear just didn’t have the cheese and ham come down. 😅
So would it not be still radioactive if used for nuclear explosions..?
@@MildaGoesWild hey Milda, after reading articles online it’s hard to tell. I’m guessing there is no radiation inside. I should of took a Geiger counter with me. It’s a possibility the bombs that were being tested were non radioactive and a demo for seeing if the enemy could pick up on seismic activity for future nuclear testing.
@cornishxplora that would make sense, otherwise it seems a bit unlikely they'd leave it accessible. I'm still too terrified of the possibility to even go near.
No further collapses over last decade, done this about 12 times showing people around.... No actual nuclear tests were done here, explosives yes, nuclear part was moved up country I believe...
Fantastic & fascinating video 👍 🙂
From a website I found about the tunnel, it seems that the side openings you found were where the explosive tests were done. The beam at the top on each one was a rail to support the explosives which were brought in on the tracks, and at the end of the side tunnels there was a 6ft sphere cut into the wall. The explosives were put inside, behind a bolted on steel cover and then the opening was packed with sandbags to contain the explosion.
@@Cornishmaid67 that’s impressive, thank you for sharing this. The spheres were only small though, around 4ft or so… But it does make a lot of sense. I will have to try and find the website you found to read up. Thank you
