The survey points were a datum using two points of survey with a washer at bottom of line which you eyed and lined up to give datum and line which you then offset with measures given by surveyor for side walls . back and footwall.
The early ones were dug by hand, man and boy using hand tools and some explosives later on. Then air tools/drills were introduced into the mines at a later date.
Well Mr slim. Unless there was a sudden change in the sunny forecast and a dramatic event of rain and storms lasting a few days the probability is rather slim. The point being, it’s more fun than being a keyboard warrior sat at home.
This has been the list for a few years now bud. Great video
@@dazphilpott2876 Thanks. Once the weather dries up, I need to do a return trip and go further
What an epic find! Can’t say I’ve seen anything like this in any other Cornwall videos, thanks for sharing it!
@@paulrandallphotography thank you glad you enjoy them 😁
Wow been looking forward to this one - definitely the best preserved/visible pumping equipment but the tunnelling is beautiful in itself too.
Was such an effort to get to, but such a worth while trip.
Not many around that are still in situ.
Hope you are well
Watching from wisconsin. Thanks for the fantastic exploration❤

Well it’s being pumped again, so maybe it will reveal some hidden sections.
It does go on a lot further but had to be out for a certain time.
Brilliant 😮 so much to be seen underneath where we reside.

What's the name of the shaft with the rising main? Any ideas? Curious as to what mine, you must be heading over towards Crofty direction?
Not far away. Sadly I can’t disclose any locations to this for obvious reason.
Feel free to add me on Insta with the same name as the channel
How how how do you go down those holes. How, I just can't think how you 😮 in worst nightmare, how did rhey dig these in past

@@yesihavereadit back then Cornish mining was a big thing. Everyone chasing minerals in order to get paid
@cornishxplora remember seeing an old coal mine entrance in the Black country, it was about about two ft wide, they went down on a rope,
All fun and games until the place floods. So stupid, what is the point
