A helpful tip I noticed was spreading glue and super glue on a separate piece of material, then dipping the tufts onto the glue before basing. I've always put the glue direct on the base, and it can get messy sometimes. Thanks for this idea! Also: the background music is great!
И как такое повторить? Шедевр! Спасибо!
Another awesome video basing idea with a great finish!! Well done GG team! :)
Can you please make some bases with crystal formations and glowing mushrooms?
Hi! Thank you for your ideas, we'll sure keep it in mind for the future :)
Impresionante trabajo como siempre, buenas ideas para cualquier ejército de sci fi❤
Congratulations, amazing result
wow looks awesome. 2.45 whats exactly that product?
Hi! Thanks for the comment! It is regular Wall repair paste/putty. But it can be any paste that dries solid and creates a height relief :)
Can you share camera, lens and light information? They look amazing.
???????
That looks amazing! I've been using Gamers Grass tufts for years. Nothing else even comes close to the quality. Thanks for sharing this tutorial with us.
These tutorials are sensational - the only thing that stops me from utilizing these techniques is I just don't have a box of GamersGrass products to use...
I really enjoy using your products, and this is another great guide. Thank you.
Impecável
Wow unbelivable results
Love this!!
Thank you 😊😀!
Would have preferred you to have said what inks you are using as leaves it a bit vague
Hello! You have the list of the inks in the top left corner of the video as the steps are being shown. You also have the full list in the description :)
@@GamersGrass thank you didn't see that
I really like your products! I want to use this type of base for my ork army. Could you tell me what "sand" primer you used?
Hello! We used two different primers. First we coated all the bases with Dunkel Gelb (Fosco Industries) and then Desert (from the same brand) lightly just to create more light :)
@@GamersGrass Wow, thank you for the response, that was fast! 😅
These are fantastic.
Your basing videos are fantastic. So easy to follow and such fantastic results. Thank you guys!
Hello! Thank you! Glad you enjoy our videos :)
this is my favorite new channel
And how then, on this fully covered base, place a miniature?
Hii! thank you for your comment! You can either glue it on top the tufts, even smashing under the feet of the miniature too :) Or you can also glue the miniature before placing the tufts to help you decide the tufts layout.
@@GamersGrass Just for next know-how video, pls, try to make both options (with/without miniature)
Will do! You can also check some of our other basing guides, they show you the idea of having your miniatures around to help you compose your scene :)
Yo hubiese aprovechado la caja y haber metido algun tipo de plantas laser de vuestra gama y asi tener las peanas perfectas. Muy buen video😊
I like the green stones, they give a feeling of being fluorescent.
Ey! is possible share the stl of out base holder? its really nice!
Great tutorial! What’s the music playing in the background? Would love to add it to a tabletop music playlist.
Hello! Thanks for your feedback! It is called "The River of Hope" by Emmanuel Jacob.
hey, maybe i didnt see but i dont think there is a category for the sets your advertising on the website! Or im just blind lol. The Videos really help with base design so keep them up. Looking forward to more!
Hello! thank you for commenting! Indeed we are still updating the categories in the website. But you can check them out at the main landing page :)
Another amazing tutorial. Thank you.
Okay so, I absolutely love what you did, but the tufts... I feel like there are too many, I liked the previous step better. It'd be nice to see 1 or 2 models on the bases, so we can check if it's not too clutered. Good job anyway, I just subscribed.
Hello! thank you so much for your comment! That's true! You can add less or more depending on the denseness of dry grasses on the region you are aiming to mimic. For this theme the idea was to create a still dense (yet dry) rocky landscape. Usually we recommend to have you miniatures when your are creating the layout of the bases. And another trick is to glue them when you are placing the tufts, since this way you can adapt the base to the model :)
These are beautiful
Gg gg ^^ cant wait to have this on m'y local shop
Check out the gamers grass laser cut plants like the black magic taro and the red ferns for more things to add to the base.
Those tutorials are top notch as always. I think it is a missed opportunity to add a small box of rocks and twiggs to the product though.
you do have an alien video and box ❤❤❤ im buying this (if i can find it) lol 🎉🎉
wow ok I never fill my bases but I'm now thinking I should, please tell me you do an alien box as I have nearly all alien Tufts ❤❤❤
This is fantastic! The Gamers Grass exceeds our expectations yet again!
Great tutorial both on making the dry bases as well as using the tufts that come in the box.
Excellent news ! These are great
These are so so so good.
Did you use just normal Miliput by itself or thinned it down with some magic or something? New to more awesome bases :D
Hi! Thank you for reaching out! We just used normal wall putty (wall repair paste), no water, but if the paste is too dry you can add a bit of water to help you :)
Thanks for the quick answer! Will try that and compare it to miliput and see what works better for me :)
Very nice. I love your grass tufts but the lazer plants are expensive for the little that you get....
What is the dark blue wash ??
Hello! Thank you for reaching out! You can use any blue wash, for example Drakenhof Nightshade from Citadel.
Really cool! Great tutorial, nice ideas. :)
What is that material you smear on the base in the begining, and where can i purchase it?
Hello! Thank you for reaching out! The earth texture paste we use in the beginning is "Dry Earth Texture" (from AMMO by MIG Jimenez) Cheers!
The puddles look great.
Always happy to see new stuff coming out of this company!! But I’ve been hoping they update their old bases to accept magnets and to introduce a dense forest base 😕
Hi Luke! Thank you for your comment! We gradually updated all the themes to have magnet slots. Some stores may still have stock of the older ones.
These are awesome!
Love your stuff! Keeping my fingers crossed for battle-ready bases for Battletech (hey, I can dream).
I wish you do more range of base sizes. Would love these for AoS 😍
Will you be doing bases for Warcrow as well?
Your basing tutorials are wonderful! Thank you for sharing! 😀
With all the grass how do you attach the models? Would it be best to attach the models before the grass goes on?
Hello David! Thanks for reaching out! That is a good question! Many times it depends on the model itself if you glue it to the base beforehand. We usually prefer to glue it first, if the model has a difficult stance to glue, if it's too heavy, or if your aim is to use plastic glue to attach it (which requires gluing it directly to the base surface, thus making the base itself afterwards, textures and all). In these cases you can make the bases, even paint them with the model already there, and also to put the tufts wherever you like. The easiest way to attach a model to an already painted base is to use super glue! Just glue them directly on top the tufts even! It makes the impression that the model is smashing the tuft a bit. We hope this helps! :)
