    Hopefully these or your new dark forest wetland will be available for purchase as your next magnet ready base. I always think to myself “oh I can make those no problem!” But truth is I just have the time to paint my bases to a standard I paint my minis, it will literally double the length of hobby time I need to make armies.

    Been collecting sticks today. I live in an area with a lot of trees, so have been finding loads on the ground. Very much looking forward to trying out some Jungle bases. I got some of your laser plants for my more alien style bases, and very impressed with the product. I have been using your tufts for a while now, but this is my first time using laser plants.

    These look great. After doing all of the work, do you need to varnish or seal the bases to make sure they stay looking great and do you need to pin the models on to make sure they stay on the base?

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! Thank you for the question!
      We normally don't feel the need to seal the bases afterwards but if you want to there's no problem. About the pin it depends on the models you're using, if you feel like it needs a pin to stay in place you can add it, if not the super glue it's fine.

    where did you use the tiny moss, tufts please? I bought the tufts and laser plants to take some inspiration from these bases. I'm adding in Eldar ruins as well though. Did you guys maybe mean the regular moss tufts? I just can't see the mini tufts on the pictures anywhere.
    EDIT: Ok, I watched again, they're used at the edges. I just thought maybe they were used on the rocks or trees or something, similar to the beige ones on the alien forest video.

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Nicholas! Thank you for your comment!
      The first paste we use (to add height variations to the ground) is a simple mixture of putty (wall repair paste), PVA glue, and sand/rock dust.

    Your Jungle base is gorgeous. I'm wondering where do you source the branches you use for tree on your bases, please?
    I think I'm going to be doing some Saim Hann, Eldar soon (the Red ones) and they'd look amazing in an alien Jungle (all the greens against the red armour will pop like crazy)

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! Thanks!
      We find the branches outdoors, selecting the dry ones scattered around. In this case we picked up some dry (dead) heather branches.

      @@GamersGrass this is what I've been doing, too. I have a few small trees on my property as well, so have an endless supply I guess.
      Just need to wait till they need trimmed.
      I've been picking up dead ones from elsewhere though... they're everywhere.

    do the tufts and laser plants need glue or are these self-adhesive?

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Thank you for reaching out!
      The grass tufts already have an adhesive glue, but if you would like a more solid fix you can use a bit of PVA glue.
      For the laser plants we recommend using super glue (cyanoacrylate). You can check our tutorials on how to bend them and glue them here in youtube :)
      Happy Hobbying!

    What is that brown paste you start using at 1:00?

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! Thank you so much for your comment!
      That paste we used to create height is mixture of putty with some rock dust and PVA glue. But the mixture ratio is not important, you can really just use putty and achieve the same effect :)

    any particular reason why you painted the rocks pink first?

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi! Thanks for the question!
      We chose a mix of brown-pinkish tones for the rocks because we aimed for them to have a red tone. It gives a very natural look to the rocks, and, in this case, red also creates a very harmonious and pleasing contrast with the green from the jungle vegetation.
      We chose to paint the main colors first (both the rocks and the branches) because this way we can apply the wash to every tone in just one step :)
      Happy Creations!
