I would still recommend painting the edges of the laser-cut plants in their base colour. They stand out a lot, even though the plants themselves are stunning.
wow amazing!
Wow! Great work!
Gorgeous work.
These are stunning! Thank you😊
Really cool 👍
Incredible work! ❤
Great tutorial. Great product.
As always, the best looking bases by a large margin. Thanks a lot for sharing your magic recipes!
It looks fantastic, a Great Inspiration. Thank you
Awesome.
4:25 OMG, it is like Gizmo is waving at me! LOL!
Cool video!
You noticed him! He is saying hello! :D
nice video! very cool bases and relaxing too watch
Those came out beautifully. Nice clear instructions, well done video. Thanks!!!
Thank you a lot ! Was searching for this type of tutorial on your channel yesteray !
Your basing tutorials are wonderful! Thank you for sharing! 😀
You make some great bases. It looks super realistic and great for this hobby.
Excellent tutorial! Very well laid out steps and progression and with results that inspire!
The puddles look great.
I have just found this channel and all the videos are amazing, but this is by far the best one
Your voice is sooo calm and charming 😊
A produzir conteúdo de qualidaaaaaaade constantemente! é incrível a máquina não pára!
Brilliant basing guide and an amazing end result!
Hi!! Thank you very much :)
I would like to thank Gamer Grass and Gizmo for this lovely basing tutorial video!
Hello! Gizmo is smiling at your comment right now :D
These are some very nice bases. And also - amazing production quality! I'm inspired to scavange for sticks now
Thank you :) !
Impecável
Looks awesome ! Eactly what I was looking for in base design, swampy-wet but natural and not completely floating wet or too nurgle-swampy. I was wondering if you will also post tips how to fix miniatures on such high-detail bases at some point (or I have overlooked such a video), since especially when using magnetized bases my miniatures pop off their base from time to time if not glued directly on the plastic of the base with plastic glue.
Hello Max! Thank you for your comment!
We actually never show in our videos the step of gluing the miniature but that's a very nice suggestion for the upcoming tutorials. But if it helps you we normally just glue them on top of the tufts to be more realistic or you can glue your mini before adding all the tufts and plants. For that we use super glue (Cyanoacrylate) and if you still think it's necessary you can drill a small pin in your miniature's feet through your base :)
100% using these for my Dark Angels
Bright light! Bright light!
Don't worry! We will keep him safe! xD
Hopefully these are the next bases for sale at gamersgrass 😉
Using these for my cites of sigmar👍
Wooooooooooooow
Beside the good edited and informational video... The Gismo Hoodie shoot the watchability to the moon! Awesome Hoodie
He is the Base Master! 😆
I don’t like wall putty or any light colored texture paste, as I game with my models heavily. If the paint rubs off, the white shows through very obviously. If you use dark texture paste, it’s less prominent if there are rub throughs. I really enjoy these videos. There are many basing tutorials on TH-cam, but these are the best! 🔥
Hello! Thank you for your comment!
That's a very nice suggestion. We'll definitely look that up! :)
not too bad
These are great if you have unlimited supplies 🙃
Yeah! Where the hell are we supposed to shop for sticks!?
Great video, I would have stopped before the lasercut plants though, they really look like paper and break the immersion for me. Better add a few tufts with colored flowers on top.
Would also work pretty well! For example the darker "Blue Flowers" would look good here :)
Great video. Could you do a grimdark swamp base?😄😄
Thank you! We sure can add it to our list of ideas :)

Any plans to make a full winter themed base? Tufts and other materials that work in combination. The Battle Ready bases seem more like a winter-spring combo not full snowy scene.
Hi! Thank you for your comment and your suggestion! We're definitely looking for doing a winter theme in the future, for sure :)
Just got some dark moss and I love it! I was just wondering if spraying some varnish to reduce some of the sheen would be recommended?
Hi! thank you so much for your comment and feedback :)
If you use a thin varnish it should be fine, it's a question of adjusting the thickness because they are low height tufts, so a denser varnish could solidify and lower the effect of the tiny grass tips.
We hope this helps!
@GamersGrass Thank you so much for your quick reply. I wish to clarify again that I love the moss and I definitely want to use Gamers Grass from now on! It is not a serious concern and I was just curious, should I do wishbone varnish I shall keep this in mind. Thanks for an amazing product and your help!
Thank you for the kind feedback :)
What are the music tracks used through the video? TH-cam is only "recommending" the one from the title slate/s but the music through this video was terrific, along with the quality basing.
Hello! Thanks for the feedback on the music!
Only the intro music is from the TH-cam audio library, the other ones we are not on TH-cam :)
@@GamersGrass - Do you know where I might be able to find these other tracks? Sorry, I know this isn't the purpose of these videos. :D
Do you any specific advice regarding actually attaching the models to such bases? Would normal super glue be sufficient are there any additional steps required to make sure they are securly attached?
Hello! Thanks for reaching out!
When gluing the models after making the bases, we suggest using super glue. Normally it is sufficient, but this really depends on the model weight (and central point of mass) and the amount of gluing surface area you are dealing with. For example for difficult poses and heavy miniatures sometimes we like to drill a pin into the miniatures foot (or gluing surface) and the base, and gluing the pins with super glue.
Also, don't be afraid to smash the tufts underneath the foot of the miniatures as well :). We like to imagine the models walking and trampling over the grass.
We hope this helps! Happy Hobbying!
I literally only use Gamer Grass tufts and products, I can't go back to anything else
I'm painting up my Bretonnia army right for Warhammer The Old World now and would love to see you do a beautiful grass meadow kind of base!
Thanks for your feedback and suggestion! We have added it to our list of ideas for Basing Guides :)
Did you use just normal Miliput by itself or thinned it down with some magic or something? New to more awesome bases :D
Hi! Thank you for reaching out! We just used normal wall putty (wall repair paste), no water, but if the paste is too dry you can add a bit of water to help you :)
Thanks for the quick answer! Will try that and compare it to miliput and see what works better for me :)
Any chances of a video on making trench bases ?
Hello Joston! Thank you for your comment!
We actually have an easy Basing Guide called Forest Trenches in our channel (th-cam.com/video/BT5SmuXNN7I/w-d-xo.html). Hope you like it :)
do you have to treat the branches in any way before using them? i heard that you need to bake them in an oven first?
Hello! Thank you for reaching out!
The branches must be dry (dead) before use. We recommend that you gather older dry branches that are already lying in the outside.
We also like to clean them first, using a scrub brush, to remove any dirt and dust from their surface and crevices (this usually brings out more details in the branches)
We hope this helps! Happy Hobbying!
@@GamersGrass will give it a go. thanks for the tips =)
Is there any risk of the water clouding over time? Some water effects seem very unreliable. Fantastic video tho!
Hi! Thank you for reaching out! All the times we used this product that never happened. But apply thin layers one by one otherwise it might crack :)
@@GamersGrassThank you! I take it is has been over a long time? Any suggested brand especially? Thanks again for the response!
For thin layers of water in natural scenarios we like the one we use in the video a lot :)
So step 1 : Make a pretty forest base.
Step 2 : Cover all previous work with at least 50 tufts per base ! :D
I'm only half kidding here, but it won't change that it's a great video with good looking bases at the end. Great work ^^
Hi! Yes, indeed! But at least you know your work is there ;) Obviously you can add less tufts if you want more ground to show. We love it both ways :D
they are beautiful..well done. It gave me a lot of inspiration. But what figures are you going to use for them ?
Thanks! Generally speaking the theme works well with 28-32mm scale miniatures. Thematically, you can think about any kind of figures that in your created narrative could explore this kind of landscape :)
Amazing guide! I might use this for my Brets, but do you have any tutorial that might look like trampled mud/recent earthworks? I imagine setting up Trebuchets is bad for a dark forest's but environment xD
Thanks you for the comment! We can add a trampled ground to our list of ideas :)
