I would do a reverse bleed with a bleeder syringe first. You replaced the master cylinder so all the air is up in the master and some small ones trapped in the banjo bolt. You don't want to be forcing air bubbles from up in the master to go down to the calliper as you will be wasting a ton of fluid to get all the air out. Air floats up so it is a lot easier to push in brake fluid from the caliper using a syring to force all the air up and out through your reservoir. Then bleed your master. Then if you would like to you can go ahead and bleed each caliper the traditional way. This is not necessary tho as air floats up and you only introduced air up top at the master.

Curious if you are still running this gearing - I haven't touched my gearing on my FZ09 yet and I definitely see what you mean with fumbling through gears at certain points at Jennings. I will say my tuned 09 with a sprint filter will do 120+ mph in 4th gear so on the back "straight" when I'm blasting out of 2 I'll up shift to 5 but then smack it right back down to 4 as I'm entering into turns 3-4-5. I also don't even get up to 5th on the front because its so short and I'll just stay in 4th. I find myself struggling to find the right gearing for certain parts of the track and sometimes feel like I'm bogging down in the turns but shouldn't be, especially with the amount of low down power with this bike. Had considered making some gearing changes since Jennings will be the track I spend pretty much every track day at. Hope to see you there again soon - looking to try and get there at the beginning of march potentially but then will be back with Corsa in late April for a full weekend.

I was running 15/47 for a while until last track weekend. I'm testing 16/47 now as I want to try and reduce some snatchiness/jerking during mid rpm maintenance throttle and also corner exit. So far I am liking the 16/47. I downshift to 4th going through turn 3 and then once more into turn 4. Both 15/47 or 16/47 are decent gearing set ups for JGP. I am also running a 190/55 RS11. I weight about 165lb with full gear.

Bro, I used to teach superbike racing. the key is to relax. If you come in the pits and your forearms are tight and you feel like Popeye.... you're not relaxing. Trusting your tires takes a bit but once you get your knee on the ground things tend to get more fun and you will relax a little bit more. I highly highly highly recommend twist of the wrist One and Two by Keith Code. I trained with him and he has a very good easy to read and understand method of teaching. Once you fully understand what the bike is doing and what you need to do....and dont need to do your times will drop per lap and then its just a frigin ball hanging off and dragging your knee. Lastly congratulate yourself. Just having big brass balls enough to get out there is a major accomplishment. I know many street racers who will never have the balls to go to the track. Remember No cars pulling out in front of you, an ambulance waiting for you if you crash and like skilled riders on the track with you. Its actually about the safest environment to go fast. Keep at it and you will gain the skills. May I suggest you work on one corner at a time. get that corner down and to the point your comfortable then go tackle another corner your having trouble with. Don't try to rework your race plan all at once. Baby steps is better and yields better results when your first starting out. Feel free to ask me anything. I race camel pro in the USA and I raced superbikes (also where I taught) in Asia as well. You tube has good videos by DAVE MOSS. The GURU of suspension set up.

If you like more of a pull in your lever than yes, but personally I love just having to barely pull the lever with one or two fingers while I’m on the track. I also have mine set to the more “aggressive” mode. When in the other mode there is more pull/feel. I have no good reason to do anything more to this bike braking wise, she stops on a dime and can easily lock the front tire at 100mph+ (I’ve done it, not by choice).

@@DemetriosMallous90 "can easily lock the front tire at 100mph+ (I’ve done it, not by choice)" that's exactly my point. i prefer having the control and choice to lock the front tire vs locking them unintentionally. i actually ran the rcs 19 on a ktm super duke and, at first, i liked being able to stop with one finger and like you mentioned, i kept locking up the front tire and activating abs. for me rcs 19, was too much for the super duke. it was on or off. i switched to rcs 17, as recommended by brembo, and it's sooo much better. rcs 17 on super duke still offers tons of stopping power and much much better control. ultimately, on super duke rcs 17 is safer on the street or track. i believe that brembo recommends rcs 17 for your bike. i suspect that you may not know what you're missing. all good. enjoy.

All you gotta do to bleed the brakes is loosen the top bleed valve a bit (not all the way) with a small piece of paper towel on top then squeeze the lever a bit then tighten it. Do that a couple times or even just once and it's done. You can even refill the brake fluid a bit too. : ) Also, adjusting the lever position with the big screw can make it brake harder, on mine when it's closer to the bar than far away.
