OMEGA BUILD A CARTIER TANK ! - The Best Cartier Tank Alternative
The movement in my Citizen Tsuyosa suddenly has packed in. I will wind it or wind it using the automatic system via the rotor and then after half an hour it stops completely.
Does the Tsuyosa 8210 movement also have plastic parts?
My jeweler told me that overwinding is a myth. The only time that overwinding harms the watch is when the spring is already bad.
I just bought for myself in uk cost me £150 it’s just worth it. I can find it easily any other online sellers but I want to make sure real and proper watch for wearing long lasting watch. I’m really appreciate it though. Really worth it
When I realise seiko 5 watch stopped by itself after not wearing around 4 to 5 hours it just not working and that downside feeling make me return the watch back to amazon. I noticed this type of weird part about this watch is not definetly convince myself. Overall I prefer quartz watch instead of the automatic watch. I’m send it back so now I’m hassle free to making this decision.
Hello, is there any way I could get a link to the dial and case? Would be much appreciated
You assume that the liftangle with 44° is the same as a Unitas movement. But is that so ? I saw an item on internet that stated that the liftangle of a Seagull ST 36 is actually 50° and therefore the amplitude comes out much higher.
Thanks for the informative video!
Get a citizen promaster ny0040 and call it a day, i have a brand new j version in the box that i dont wear and a regular k2 version that i daily, i wouldn't buy another tho not with what they asking , nope
Don't be a dork, the bracelet was designed at a time when douche kazoos didn't want a gigantic, heavy watch head on their wrists.
36-38mm is GOAW unless you're 6'5" or bigger
dude i searched up automatic watch to learn how an automatic watch works. it took you 5 mins to get to how it works, when thats where you should have started. you have a tiny yt channel, which is going on no ones recommended, and so dont need to yap about what it is if i already know and searched it up.
My wife loves her 36 mm its a perfect size for her and I have the 41mm which is fine not to small not too big , I just got the new mesh 007 bracelet for it and I love it , very comfortable and looks great .
Hi, what’s the name/brand of the black straps you are using on this watch please ?
No Tfit in the fly adjustment. That means omega doesn’t listen to their customers. The clasp still suck big time
Come on new 009 just sold 250 fb
Which army are we talking about? I’m watching from Europe…
I bought the skx 007 just before 2000,, still going strong today.. just finished the general service for cleaning and new lubricants.. the movement is still in prime condition.. this skx007 accompanied me with hundreds of scuba diving... believe the sk007 remain worth buying...
I wear a pocket watch most of the time. If I don't wear a vest, I keep it in the change pocket of my pants or the breast pocket of my sport jacket. It's a nice conversation starter as well as a piece of American history. American pocket watches are quite robust and easy to work on, even by hobbyists. The only downside is that you can't steal a glance at it; everyone knows you are checking the time./
IMHO what's an issue isn't the 36mm but more the real-estate the bezel takes up. The dial size influences how large or small a watch "wears" and the older 300m wears smaller than it should at 36mm. Its a bit too small for a sports/diver watch. I still have a 120m seamaster (which is basically a thinner watch with a polished bezel and less WR) in 36mm and that has a better wrist presence thanks to the larger dial/thinner bezel. It also helps that its a dressier watch and not a diver.
Мы любили Seiko 5 за небольшую цену и надежность.
I created a simple TimeGrapher stand for IOS App, and it's more interesting than I expected to go through all my automatics of different brands and compare them! Most surprising was that the most expensive doesn't necessarily equals the most accurate. My Tissot Heritage Visodate show +3s, and that's really good.
I have just bought this watch on ebay because of videos like this,I know you can buy exact same movement watch brand new under strela for about £300 but I like the vintage sekonda rebrand that uses Russian movements,I like Russian movements so much I have the sekonda mechanical stopwatch and there criminally cheap on ebay...all you need to do is spend extra £6 on broken model to take it apart to learn to service it yourself and you have a good cheap watch
The presentatiion of both movements helped me to better informed on movements and their capabilities and costs.
I'm pretty sure that the fact that it winds only in one direction make it wind faster in that direction though. So it is not ''less'' efficient.
First you show the Miyota with a 60 hr power reserve and then you show it with wore than 42. Which is it?
Mine is +1 sec and it has a B/E of 0.9. That is very good for what it is!
Just got the Seiko GMT sport and it’s running about -1 second an hour. Hoping the warranty can cover such a horrendous error. My cheaper Seiko 5 keeps better time being about 5 seconds a day at worst.
@@evansnyder8461 That sounds horrible man! I once bought a turtle that was also running slow and I had a lot of trouble with the dealer so I gave it to my brother and swore never to buy another Seiko. But I did this year and it was misaligned haha!
@ it’s funny because I’ve always loved Seiko for the quality it it’s price point. But weird that punching up in range is a worse outcome than just staying with the cheapies. As the video said I guess there’s a break in period, we’ll see how that goes. But was never an issue beforehand
@@evansnyder8461 I do too. My first real watch was a Seiko Kinetic so I have a love for the brand. Lately however its not been the best. I have since moved to Citizen and have been super happy with them. Hopefully the warranty will still cover it even after the break in period is over. Otherwise you can just have it adjusted.
Caught that battery just in the nick of time!
Thank you sir,k
Just bought an SNKL23J1. Ok, the 7S26 caliber is quite agricultural, but many in house manufactured great looking mechanical can you buy for less than $ 140 in December 2024 ?
Thank you….great info
Got it in a chinese no name watch, for less than 50$. I can confirm everything that you say. Before watching your video, I was impressed by the movement's performance, but the weird noises bothered me in that way: will it hold? Now, that I know the issues, everything is fine. Thank you.
Question: is 8203 version interchangeable with 8210 and/or 8205 when it comes to parts? I have one and I want to restore it but couldn't find parts for it such as dial, bezel, etc...
The System 51 is also in some Tissot watches (higher priced yet non serviceable) which have sapphire front (dial side) with see thru exhibition back (not sure if sapphire or not) with steel case.
You would have to be pretty forceful to overwind a Speedmaster.
Love my 007, hate Seiko5s !
My main issue with the 8200 series is that Miyota, for some unknown reason, decided to put absolutely everything under one giant full plate. That includes the train of wheels, escapement, and automatic works. I made the mistake of picking up an older Citizen with an 8200A, and it is an absolute *NIGHTMARE* to work on as a result. Sure, it's inexpensive, but for ease of maintenance, you're much better off getting a Seiko.
I have bought my first Seiko 5 about 30 years ago. Stainless steel case and bracelet with black dial in matt finish. No lume. Still running well.
Regarding the branded dial, I've seen a few listings on AliX that appear to have no logo, but if you look really closely you can see it has been photoshopped over to hide the logo. It's hard to notice.
I think MIYOTA 8215 movement is more durable, and our factory use these movements in many watches
Where did you get the dial
Hi, I liked your video. and very informative. Keep it going. II wonder ,mif you could help me with Ferre chrono watch. . It stops every night. This is happening even after replacing the battery with a new one.
Nice review!
just bought my Skx00j1 brand new from Amazon on dec 16,2024.
Are you sure ?
Good luck getting one for $100-$150. Maybe at the flea market.
Maybe Europe has a different perception on the brands, but I would not rank Swatch above Citizen, Seiko or even Orient.
for the everage consumer seiko and citizen are old fashion brands. orient doesn't exist at all.
As I rank brands like Casio or Citizen higher than Swatch, the price question is quickly sorted out: at this price point, I can buy ten times better elsewhere. Now that you can get sapphire crystals, 100 or 200 meters WR, automatic or solar movements, straps with metal buckles (that won't break after one week), from about 145 euro, the Swatch economic model seems somewhat obsolete. This was not so 25 years ago.
You make many good points about this watch and the System 51 movement. You said that it didn't upset you, financially, that the watch is disposable. That is where I can not agree, because my money is hard earned and not disposable. It is, as you pointed out an engineering and technological achievement, to have a watch fully assembled and adjusted entirely by robots.
for some reason, i feel like i need to get going...get things rolling...get a move on..........what am i doing wasting time on youtube?!?!?!?!?!
Great useful instruction.
Glad it was helpful!
I own Seiko watch with 7s26 movement. Here are my thoughts about this movement: Having a smaller dia. Balance wheel reduces accuracy. Winding rotor is underweight.. So even wearing it a full day gives only about 17 hours ( might be less) of reserve power. Either Seiko should have increased the reduction gear ratio or increased the weight of the rotor ( they did increase the weight of the rotor on the 7s26c but not enough. Magic lever wears out fast as the mating surface on the cam are sub milimeter reducing the winding property.
