#Thankyou2024 Hi, I enjoyed the tips you gave in this video. I once purchased some Hiya Hiya lace 2.25mm size 1 knitting needles and ran into that cord problem. I held it in front of my space heater to loosen the curl in the cord. This however did not work to make the needles comfortable. Also thanks for the tip on the jelly roll edging.

I’m so happy you returned this year to sharing in this space again. I love your creative makes and all the reality of life you care to share as well. Oh man do I remember the days of being a mom of a kindergartner daughter, elementary schooler son, working and going through university all at once. Those were some especially tough years (post divorce). There’s still challenges in life, that’s life, but there’s not such a lengthy period of constant challenge. And now I’m a knitter so there’s that😉 #ThankYou2024

Could you be feeling a bit ‘meh’ because you have too many projects on the go at once? I get overwhelmed if I have more than one scrappy blanket and one smaller project such as a sock or a cowl or a hat on the go at any one time. I have been knitting for over 50 years and found that on occasion I have tried doing more projects and then that gets me feeing very stressed. “Hecate’ is the name for the Greek goddess of magic, the night, the crossroads and the moon. Recently did an icord edge on a cardigan, so my internet searching about pick up rates for icord edges is fresh! I think it’s same needle size -> pick up 3 of every 4 sts; smaller needle size -> pick up every st; and as-you-go icord edge is more equivalent to one icord “stitch” every two rows (same idea as counting slipped stitch heel flap rows) so that’s the tightest edge!
