GORGEOUS crochet blanket!! The socks that duped you is a funny story lol. I've made leg warmers for my kids - they're super useful!! I made them with fingering weight held double. One used leftover self-striping yarn plus a solid. I'll DM you on IG my project pages and some free patterns you can reference! Sending love Eunice❤❤❤
You are such a delight Eunice. I do an internal happy dance when one of your podcasts show in my feed. Congrats on the World Series. I ❤ that Sam was able to share that with you and you two can remember that in her blanket. What a special life you’re giving her!
I'm currently on a blanket and sock binge too! To be fair, I've only been a "gift knitter" all my life until now so thankfully I have gotten into sock knitting just for me and my hubby. This moss stitch blanket I'm working on is my first ever 100% wool blanket and I hope to make it king sized. Seeing how nice your blanket came out and even your advent socks makes me super excited to finish all of my wips so hubby and I can enjoy them by xmas haha.
Thank you! I think the join is called "Continuous Join in the Round." It looks like TLYarnCrafts does not have a tutorial for this particular joining method... but there are lots of tutorials available on TH-cam. I hope you find one that is helpful for you!
Congrats to your dodgers! I’m a Royals fan and if we couldn’t win it all I’m glad you guys beat the Yankees. I’m also just happy Ohtani got his ring! Do you have any tips on avoiding ladders in magic loop? My 9inch circs are starting to cramp my hands.
Thank you so much! Yessss Shohei is so cute... haha! I'm so happy for him and the entire team. As for avoiding ladders... I typically make sure that my feeding needle (left hand) is very close to the cord when I start working the first/second stitch of the new needle. I also make sure that my tension is tighter than usual and that seems to help!
I'm not at all knitting so many socks but are knitting a pair while watching your podcast and just have to ask you about your shoe size as I'm currently wondering about stitch count for socks for me. I think 56 stitches in US needle 1.5 seems to work for me too. I'm a size 36 (US 5.5?). Great job with the blanket by the way and so fun with the great memories that come with it. 😍
Thank you so much for your comment! Yes - my shoe size is a US women's 7 (or EU 37? 38?) I usually do a 64 sts count on US1, but that 2-ply has been kicking my butt! which is why I'm going up a needle size instead. I hope that's helpful info!

Oh my! A king-sized, moss-stitch blanket?! I send to you alllllllll the making mojo I can muster. It's going to be STUNNING by the end, I'm sure.
I love your blanket! I will have to look up the joining tutorial you mentioned.

@@therapybycraft I haven't even started to understand how the ply effects... But I finished my socks and in my case 56 stitches worked perfectly. 🙂
