I think the minis are incredible and it seems like Corvus Belli actually desires to put something out that people want to play. I am not a fan at all of the board gamification of these skirmish games...I have some overlapping frustration from Fantasy Flight and their endless cards, tokens, and proprietary dice...

Fax, premeasuring ruined warmachine imo. Anyone who has a higher speed than you or outranges you gives them an immense advantage, I played one of the slower factions so people would measure out my exact charge range and stay 1 inch out and pulverize me from range, or get the charge on me and that game nothing really survives a charge.

Is the new O-12 Torchlight Brigade going to be in the new Starter box along with The Japanese faction?

I was always a big fan of the bags in Infinity. To me it really adds to the tactical nature and atmosphere of the game. If my memory serves right the Myrmidons were first deployed on Paradiso, you know on a planet with little to no infrastructure at the time so the units carrying extra equipment with them made great sense to me. :D

I’m extremely late to this, but I’m just getting into infinity because of their new media blitz, and have been really looking at haqqislam. I wanted to make sure though that it wouldn’t be out of place for me to collect haqqislam considering I’m white, raised Catholic, and now a pretty vehement atheist. Anyway this video was really interesting to watch and actually get a good opinion on it.

I'm starting infinity and really find myself bouncing off the quantity of lore, factions, subfactions, and units. This was a nice overview, but it rose to the top by being introduced by not one but TWO Deks.

Atalantia = Nova from starcraft XD and yea she's amazing but sometimes I like to build a more aggressive list with ayax and ouidoruous and achillies!

Nightmare Edition=First run of limited edition models (Lord Chompy Bits was the first Nightmare Edition.) Usually they're only available for Gen Con. Rotten Harvest= Yearly Painting Competition. Iconic=whatever they want to throw in. I was a Henchman (Game Rep) since Wyrd started that program and got my Nightmare Teddy and Chompy from working Gen Con. Oh and you completely forgot the "Miss" figures. Again, 1 at GenCon. That whole thing ya did there trying to connect it to a particular game was interesting but ya kinda just pulled it out of your ass there. Otherwise great way to show how these kits are amazing compared to everything else.

Lets not mention how absolutely broken the meta and game balance was with 1.0 and also having to buy a £100 epic ship just to get 1 upgrade card to fix a broken at release small ship... but yeah sure 1.0 was the best and great for new players 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I love this shit. Video Game Dev and even a little bit on the TTRPG game dev have a good amount of videos on youtube. It's super cool to see someone making short, digestable videos on wargaming design. I've watched the 3 in the playlist you linked, I hope you make more! Your criticisms about Warhammer are solid though, it does feel very gamey. I always noticed that, like why wouldn't I try and deep strike right onto the enemy. A bit of ludo-narrative dissonance.

Nail. On. The. Head. Fact is N3 sculpts were absolute fire - Red Veil, every model is amazing, Tunguska every model amazing, Shasvaasti every model amazing, Invincible Army - a glorious chonk squad plus Su Jian. CB have new sculptors and on the whole they're a tier below the old ones - posing is weaker, faces are disproportionate. The detailing is as good as ever but that is really ancillary when the posing is lacking dynamism. They still have some great sculpts coming through but nothing making my jaw drop like some of those older sets.

Good to have you back. Nice paintjob, it makes the three-dimensionality of the Silverstars very clear. I think my favorite HI aesthetic is still Invincible Army, but I can appreciate what CB is doing with TLB.

Ugh... so frustrated by this game right now Dek.... I really love the idea of Infinity and want to get into it. Really got into your channel when I jumped into Malifaux and got interested by Infinity after seeing you hype it up and some friends who like it but.... JESUS what a task. The game - just buying for it is a total fucking nightmare. Code One or Main Game - Where to start? - Yes. Factions where do I start and how do I collect? - Yes. ok... Where can I buy it? The company has an online store... that cost 35 pounds ontop of the price to ship it.... paying full retail and insane shipping? - feel like a Karen about this one but who buys games this way... Whales? (looks at the online store) - How is this better than other games... nobody buys games from GW directly cause the pricing sucks.. CB's pricing is like garbage but what hurts more is nearly very few to no online retails carry any stuff so if you want to get into the game you kind of get stock defaulted into playing what they have. When no stores carry getting started boxes for a game it basically tell you the game is either dead or you wont ever enjoy collecting it without shelling out serious money. Really love the designs and want to love the game but holy shit... And that's excluding the nightmare of the online forums I've seen or the lack of any relevant content on this game in youtube / the internet all together... I basically just find meme videos of marvel infinity wars are ratioed higher than anything from this game. and literally your videos on it are basically the only content within 2024.. a most videos are from 2018 - 2022.. It also doesn't help that the company has so much negative sentiment from it its own community online. specially right now while they are ignoring their own community so its a battle for game stans versus annoyed people whos factions are dead without rules updates. (read the gem of Queens Gambit quitting the game post in the forum for example) Am I buying into a sinking ship or is there really a game here somewhere? The game feels like a niche of a niche of a niche in terms of visibility, support and collecting.. kind of burnt out on gw besides kill team but I mean... like at least I can buy It everywhere... Shit even Malifaux feels so much more supported.

As another minority with less than correct representation in media, ( Mexican and Latin American ) Im so glad to see this kind of content, and specially so glad that Infinity exist. For me the real interesting part of Infinity Lore is how "Cultural Spheres" like South east Asia, Asia, Latin America and even Europe are not just add as some Future steretypical version of themselves as in many other Scifi Settings. In my case we can see that Latin America was divided, some of them are Pan oceania, Some of them are Nomads, and you can make the case that some of them even Ariadna
