I enjoy your chats, and I appreciate you sharing your learning curve. I plan to make some knit tops later this summer. I haven’t made myself clothes in years (most of my sewing is decor items, rag dolls, and embroidery/cross stitch) so I am encouraged by your determination. Liked your haul. I am heading back to Hobby Lobby for a few more patterns this week!

Hi Jacque! Great choice of patterns. I don't remember the swimsuit cover up using loads of fabric but I did make the short sleeve version. The sleeve is all in one hence the long sleeves version needs mahousive amounts 😂. That is such a cute little strawberry dress 🍓. Great job on the geocaching, we avoid the coordinates one in case we do it wrong 😂. We haven't done any for ages, we need to 🕵🏻‍♀️Thanks so much for the shout outs and yes, I have so many of those patterns ❤ x

Don't forget there's a dress version of the Sunday Romper! You can practice everything on the romper haha. I've had that pattern for a long time, and I want to get it printed up and try the dress version this summer!

Hello. Your channel just showed up in my feed today. I enjoyed your video. ❤ Why don't you redo the waistline and gathering and make the toile perfect to wear. It'll be good practice for your better fabric and will look lovely! I look at anything I have to fix along the way of my making as extra time to be involved in the process of my craft... it changed my outlook on the whole process and I came to recognise as I got older that I am very much a process maker and as such I don't try and sprint anymore to the end, but just enjoy my meander along the way 😀

Are you paying close attention to straight of grain? Pressing not ironing? Other than those 2 things, it sure is a puzzle as to why you’re having a problem with size problems.

I use my maker all the time to cut fabric. The last time I used it I cut circles for G-Tube covers for babies in the hospital. It worked very well.

Go blue! I also don’t give a rip but married into a Michigan family lol. The bowl cozy looks great! They’re so satisfying to make.

You might try sewing some elastic to the inside of the gathers…that might disguise the wonky nature of the gathers…so finish the dress and then decide.

It looks like you have flown over to England and are sat in Adam's Sewing room!! 😂. Love love love your Laundry day tee, so glad you got that to work. Don't you wish you had a machine you could put all pattern pieces in and the fabric and it cuts and marks everything for you?! 😅. Sounds like the cricut is almost there doing little projects. Jackie, know that G_d is the only Being who can create perfect gathers and a perfect waistline. I am taking liberties here to assume that Our Creator has many other things on the To Do list aside from sewing so perfect gathers and waistlines will never happen. Your toile is lovely and the print is soft and feminine. Please consider finishing it and wearing it, if it seems imperfect to you, well nothing we create is perfect. Seriously, it is lovely as is the laundry day tee and once again young lady you need to work on that habit you have of being so self critical. ❤️

Love the bags and the cross stitch - hope the diet coke turns out as well as you hope. Regarding your top - well done on the neckband - all I would say is I think the shoulder seams are too short so it's pulling the sleeve head up. But I have to say it looks great on you!

The shirt looks fantastic.. I have realized most of my fitting problems are I need a full bust adjustment.. I think that might fix your pulling problem across the bust.. I usually chose my pattern size by my upper bust.. for the neckline and go from there..

Your project bag came out great! In the past three years I “discovered” you tube and instantly found Jen Sews and the Fab Five,ViviMom, The SewingRoom Channel, Evelyn Woods, and then each channel linked to so much more, including your channel. And then there is Floss Tube!!!!! I was always into embroidery, but not cross stitch. I have become an avid stitcher now. I am still learning and discovering both in sewing/quilting as well as several forms of needlework. My only problem is that at 72 I am racing with time to do so many fun projects that I have seen. Your amazement at the quantity of projects some people get finished is spot on….how do they do it!!!! I really like the little devotional messages that you and Jen share….it is the cherry on top of each episode. Thank you!!!

I am glad that you found your joy and are giving yourself grace. The grace we give to others we also have to give to ourselves. I’d look at how tight the sleeve is and if the shoulder seam is too far off of the shoulder. Is the shirt riding up when you lift your arms? Why are we supposed to cut knit fabric right side out?

You nailed that neckline! I made the Laundry Day Tee a couple of times now and there is something going on with my shoulders too and I’ve heard the same from a lot of people… so… it’s not you or your sewing skills. I also find the armsceye is VERY tight on that top. If you had a little bit more room at the upper bust (so if your armhole was a touch bigger), your “assets” would not be so on display 😂 But that top is meant to be fitted at the bust and then swing out.

I have the exact same problem with the LDT shoulders, and I had found the solution before but now I can’t remember what it was( I will look it up again….) The bowl cozy and the project bag came out awesome!! I have never cross stitched but I’d love to try it ..I do crochet ALOT. And yes I play bobbin chicken - I take the chance- I’m such a rebel 😂 I definitely don’t always win 😂 great to see you, you really are a joy to watch!❤❤-Mary

Bravo! Yay! Go you! Believe me I know all about being self critical and can give good advice because CHIEF OF SINNERS HERE. I am trying to do better. Everyone tells me this but I never listen. And yes I do talk to myself out loud. Your neckline looks really, really good! As does your bowl cozy, even though my husband graduated from Michigan State and grew up in Columbus as a Buckeye fan. I am supposed to be loyal by marriage but honestly I grew up in Ohio too and I don't really care. And your project bag! So cute! I am no expert, but I think the problem with your top is that your shoulders seams aren't long enough and that's throwing off the whole upper half thing. Which leads me to think that you may either need a half size larger or an FBA. I would certainly try the half size up first - Nancy Zieman the Sewing Queen always said to go with your upper bust measurement when you are finding your size. That works most of the time for me, I just grade out to accomodate for my much larger waist. Oh the joys of getting older and the old lady spare tire! If that doesn't work, then you might just need to lengthen the shoulder seam so it reaches to that bone. The top doesn't look that tight to me, just close fitting. But like you said, if you're uncomfortable with it just throw on a cardigan and you'll be all set. First thing I noticed was the sleeves and I honestly thought 'how did she get that cute trim on the hems? Is that a rolled hem? Oh wait, did she just leave them raw? Genius, it looks so good!' Total Diet Coke snob here. I didn't know there was an app for geocaching - what fun! Oh, the faithfulness of God. Thanks for calling it Resurrection Sunday - we always do that too. The minute your video started I thought "I love that T shirt ❤". Great job on the neckline, I think it has just come out looking like a fitted T shirt, it doesn't look too tight it looks like it is meant to be slim fitting around the 'assets' 😂. Many of my T shirts looked the same! That bag is SO PRETTY 😍. It looks so similar to the wet bags I made a couple of weeks ago, why didn't I think of making them without waterproofing for other bits and bobs? thank you for that idea 😊. I LOVE geocaching and we have done it in many countries 👏🏼, we have found 150 now and always try and do one on our vacations. The best thing to do with or without children 😂. Great to see you ❤

The shoulder seam should fit at the edge of your shoulder. It looks like it is popping up because it is a little small in that area.

That bag is darling! If it makes you feel better about making mistakes, I made 3 tees for my 1 year old grandson and I totally cut one of the out with the print upside down. I just had to laugh.

I noticed first off how great the neckline looks! Is isn't too tight. If I feel a little uncomfortable, I will put my arms inside and swish them back and forth to kind of stretch it a bit. Styla has a TH-cam channel with sew alongs!
