CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss. You are doing amazing. Many, many years ago I made a 2-piece swimsuit, but not knowing anything about fabric, I just made a knit type fabric suit. I would use apppropriate fabric now if I were to make one again, but at 76, I have no desire to put on a swimsuit. You can do anything you set your mind to, so go for the Allegro pants. I'm sure you look amazing in a duster. VBS is work but can be so rewarding. Enjoy VBS and then you can concentrate on your sewing. Have a great weekend.

One of mine was pajamas 😂 I wear them all the time. Have a great time at camp. We just finished VBS… it was wonderful. My son in law is our youth minister. They did the Armor of God. I didn’t help but one night…my dad passed away and I never made it back. But others jumped in and it went well. ❤

Hi Jacque! I so enjoy your bubbly personality and the way you tell your story. It's a pleasure to know you through youtube. I haven't done enough clothes sewing lately to have 5 essential makes but of the items I have made, I do like the summer housedresses, the shorts, and the cotton knit tops. I'm working on another housedress, too. These dresses are just simple, sleeveless summer shifts with pockets and I use an old Simplicity pattern that I've had for many years. You've done great in your weightloss journey; keep up the good work! Enjoy your visit to the Bible Study camp. Well, I know you will!!
I avoided dresses in the past but have found them to be the coolest -- literally! clothing to wear in the hot Florida weather. Dresses are my friends now!

Since then, I'm lost a little over 50 pounds. I was tagged to do the studio but I didn't have enough essentials made by me to do the video, but now that I have seen you do your video with essentials, I am going to do my video.😊

Yay! Another video. Like you I need to feel fabric to see if I like it - I was at Joann’s this week and was looking at gauze. Their regular gauze is soft but I didn’t like the stripes. I found some gauze with the nursery fabrics that I loved the print but it felt stiffer. When I looked it up online it’s called “swaddle” fabric not gauze even though it’s gauze. Next time I have a coupon or it’s on sale I’m going to get it and hope it gets softer after washing it. Have fun at your camp overnighter and VBS.

My five Cuffed tee from pattern emporium Saguaro pants from Friday pattern co Sorrento dress by Styla I don’t actually wear layering pieces usually but I do want to try the Marlo cardigan from True Bias or the smitten jacket from pattern emporium Wild card: marcel tank/dress from Chalk and notch.
I should have clarified . . . The one I have now is more like an athletic wear shirt - not the tight fit of a regular swimsuit. The swim "bra" that I wear under it, is like a regular swim suit bikini top.
Fabric content does not make it the same !!! Determine if your swim shirt is one direction stretch or both direction stretch and what the % of stretch is (take 4 inches and stretch... how many inches does it stretch to 5 in is 25%... 6 is 50%) you can the recreate that pattern or if you use another pattern make sure you get the right amount of stretch ❤
