We need to see the value of generations, especially when they interact. To consider a stump seems pretty hopeless, as Isaiah had, but this was the site from which a new shoot came up. And that shoot was the sign of hope and life from what looked like it was beyond life. Sermon based on Isaiah 11:1-9 and Luke 2:41-52.

Don-our adult choir just read through your “What Will We Promise?” It was in our library but we hadn’t sung for a while…and the group was very moved by text!
The 4 ladies singing Shine are “adulting” now-one teaches middle school, one is an engineer, one is studying to be an architect, and the other works for a church. All are active musicians!
