Home: Returning Home

We hear this central narrative every year about people who are far from home: a couple on the move with no place to rest, shepherds sleeping under the stars, all of them living among a people without the freedom and peace of home. All of this can heighten our senses to the significance of restlessness, a theme we began with in Advent. With an eye to the good news of God who draws near to make a home among us, we will listen to our own sense of being far from home this year. Sermon based on Luke 2:1-20.
