Serendipitous Conversations

"This video shares about our journey at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. After experiencing religious harm in the past and struggling to find a place that was safe for our intercultural, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent family - this church became our refuge. It was hard to limit the video to a few minutes, as we have already been shown so much love by several folks, all of whom we want to recognize. Part of the way we want to elevate our experience, is by sharing the stories of those in our Sunday School Class. We want to learn about the journeys the elders of our class have had, to glean from their wisdom but to also better understand what made them who they are today. That's where Serendipitous Conversations was born. We wish we would have launched prior to the passing of our friend, Dr. Ann Struthers, as she had so many amazing to stories to tell. Though we missed that opportunity, we didn't want to delay any further and will ensure this series is made in her honor. Our first session will be this Sunday with special guests, Marie Peeters and Ute Adams. Selenthia and I professionally center lived experiences to enhance our Shared Existence... so we are super excited to bring a piece of that to the church that has became our home. ❤" _Barb H.
