​@@ADHski we are over 100" but we dont see the sun very often in December. The amber lens is my favorite in low viz conditions. Shred the Rocket for me. Yeeeewwww.

Isn’t that spot on. You can always count on my friend Tekno bringing the fiery truth surrounding Mid-A shredding! Not sure its worth the stop here, but it is right off I-81 if you ever want a crowd less quick session on your way home haha!

@@ADHski I've been pretty much everywhere from East to West through my skiing life, at the end of the day all that matters is you've got a mountain to ski on and you're having fun. I thought about making the drive over from Canaan when I've been there, but it never seemed worth skipping a day at Timberline for, lol.

I gave Bryce a 2.9/5 & Timberline a 4.4/5. Bryce is a convenient spot to get some turns in with a cheap lift ticket, I'd say its worth it once if you've never been. Nothing compares to Tline in the area my friend haha

let's gooo! nothing like that first day back on snow. Sounds like an interesting spot, maybe one day when we run out of options around here we will have to branch to the midwest haha

unbelievable opening weekend conditions! finally got the hang of those skis man, excited for NH!!!

definitely a fun time! I think timberline would absolutely be worth the drive. Snowshoe is a far more treacherous drive to arrive at than tline. Snowshoe claims 1500 feet vert when that only encompasses to the 2 backside runs called western territory. they are fantastic runs, but the frontside of snowshoe (700 ft vert) leaves much to be desired vs timberline (lot's of intersecting trails.) lift ticket is also a better deal 90 vs 150 or so at snowshoe. Snowshoe used to be the king back in the day, but has fallen corporate, I believe that's why so many flock to timberline now.

why go with the grain when you can create a little rivalry? overall, the frontside vert at Snowshoe is 700 feet & has so many intersecting trails you can't rip down without colliding with a family haha. I'll give you western territory, but I still feel its overall steeper for longer at timberline. Lodging pricing & ticket pricing has turned the place into something it never was. Snowshoe in the 90's is Timberline now. 4.3 snowshoe is the 2nd highest. haha its all in good fun

You get money back/credit on your pass if you don't ski all day at Timberline. They also do midweek specials and bonus days for reduced rates, but those normally aren't published. I've shown up midweek there where they had 2-3 trails closed and it was only $55. I don't think I've ever seen ticket prices at Snowshoe under $100-$120 either since they built it up like a wannabe Vail. Snowshoe also really overcrowded and unsafe at times(though honestly everywhere on the East coast is getting that way on weekends) and has 2 good trails with Cupp and Shays and the rest is just super spread out cruisers packed full of pizza kiddos, lol. Timberline has just always felt like a better overall mountain especially if you like intermediate/advanced stuff and since the new owners took over the mountain ops are second to none. Already had all their double blacks open first weekend of the season.

@@ADHski Definitely will be this year. Picked up their season pass at the end of the year last year. The new owners have done an AWESOME job of fixing the place up!!

man the valley is the place to be! I may have to end the "tour" and just keep going back to the Line haha. crowds were light & the snow stayed amazing. I got last seasons model at a ski swap Armada Declivity 92's, loving them so far!

@@ADHski Yeah if I lived closer to WV I'd probably just get the Timberline season pass and try to hit it midweek as much as possible, lol. Been an incredible revival for the mountain...now if we could just get Canaan to get their act together. We need a "What a Day It Is" t-shirt, lol.

the local in town informed me to take the first scheduled bus to the mountain (6 AM), because it takes the employees up. If there is a storm they shut down the road shortly after, but that bus apparently is always let through. and I got lucky because on this day the road got shut down after the bus, had an unreal day with the mountain to myself for the first hour!! Definitely reliable
